For certain decks, this is just an auto lost. The only reason why this is even slightly tolerable is because of Zilliax and that guy's rotating out. It reminds me a lot of odd paladin where nearly all my deckbuilding efforts have to first confront this silly idea of whether it has even the slightest chance against this deck.
Zul'jin was really fun after the KFT Deathknights rotated out, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't scared by the 'three-phase fight' hunters, which might be why I don't have many fond memories of Zul'jin.
At 10 attack you can basically kill anything that doesn't have divine shield, and you get to do that 10 times. I don't think you will be attacking with this every turn, and I don't think most games will be 10 turns long. Especially considering that most of the time you won't be playing this on turn 1. Would this be better as a 10/5? Or maybe I could keep the 10 durability but make it less efficient at killing. Would a 5/10, or maybe a 3/15 be better?
It also regains Ephemeral if you removed that keyword.
Thank god for that, could you imagine a bunch of replicating Elusive Shadowseers that stay on the board indefinitely
Honestly I don't think it'd be that bad. 1 health means it dies to basically any removal of any kind (and indeed, can't block anything without dying), and you're spending a five mana initial outlay to set it up (since you have to remove the Ephemeral).
I mean don't get me wrong, it'd be strong, but I don't know that it'd be that bad, y'know?
That's missing a crucial piece of the puzzle, though: You're limited to 3 expedition rewards per week. With the previous version of the vault, you would've been able to score a guaranteed 4 champions per week (presupposing that you're able to afford the 3 expedition runs without the free token). Now it's just 3.
I mean, sure, but that's just a rate-of-unlock issue, not a level-of-rewards issue.
Personally I'm not really having any issues with the rate of unlocks, but to each their own I guess.
Just accept that Barrier negates damage after it has been dealt, and everything falls into place for this and many other interactions (such as Overwhelm).
It is also helpful to remember that "negates" only means that the damage (which definitely was dealt and definitely exists) has no effect -- that is to say, it is not subtracted from the protected unit's Health.
Drain damage, however, is apparently not the same as normal damage, it is more of a zero-sum game: The Health you regain has to come from somewhere, so if nothing was actually taken from an enemy, nothing is gained by you. (But the damage is still being "dealt" and negated by Barrier.)
For whatever reason, I was having a pretty hard time beating Heroic Togwaggle, so I thought it might be fun to mess with him using Grizzled Wizard and Sir Finley Mrrgglton. Turns out that Grizzled Wizard is even worse than a meme, because it didn't work. I sat there thinking the game was delayed, but alas, the functionality was broken.
I ended up beating him anyway (thank you Kobold Stickyfinger) but it still made me sad.
I crafted grizzled wizard with Emperor Thaurissan in mind. I was sorely disappointed.
I edited the riddle a little bit because I am not sure if the last line was entirely clear. I think it may have the opposite effect that I was hoping for.

How to "cement HS for the next decade" speculations thread
No single release will ensure HS stays on top for the next 10 years.
But if that hyperbole was used, I expect new perks that reward everyday grinding - as ranks, gold and dust are not enough.
One "easy" solution would be a full-blown system of Achievements, with an ever-growing system of varied rewards.
That's the easiest way to help keeping players old and new bound to the game with consistency.
The overhaul of the Basic and Classic sets is much expected because it's needed, but it's not something that can deeply renew the game on its own.
Tbh i don't know what else could support the hype of the preview.

There is actually so many cards i will miss from those 3 expansions, it were honestly great sets looking back.
Custom Galio champion
This subforum is a little empty. Let's fix that, shall we?
I'll go first:
I tried to to capture as much of the big guy's character as possible:
- He's massive, the biggest champion in the game by far.
- The fact that he isn't affected by any spells (this include both AoEs and revive effects) represent his immunity to magic.
- Both his Level Up and the additional effect he gets when leveled up represent his empowerment from magic.
- His spell represents the fact that his mere presence nullifies magic (at least in combat).
- The Challanger represents his eagerness to fight.

The Amazing Reno
I used to be an archetype, all on my own (renolock)
Now I perform many wonders unknown ( cast random spells)
I am better than anyone, no one surpasses me ( he is amazing)
I am not a dragon. (Maybe) * at the end of galakrond awakening reno was confirmed to be a dragon*
