I got pretty excited thinking about all of the old cards that got nerfed in the early days of hearthstone that I would like to see un-nerfed. It would be interesting seeing if a 2/1 Leper Gnome would still be as good now as it was back then. But then I saw that it will probably only be cards from this year that got nerfed and I was a little disappointed.
I really like this change for one big reason. All of the good demons are on tier 1, 3, and 5. There is one demon on tier 2, and there is one demon on tier 4, and none on tier 6. I hope in the future we can see a more equal spread of demons across the tiers.
Depends on the storyline, it depends too.. deafeated doesn't mean they died.. for example khadgar explodes when conquering dalaran, right? ye he is still alive this expansion (and for some reason free?) so their portrait exploding doesn't mean they are killed, just defeated.
I think on the E.V.I.L side though I think every character that is defeated is indeed killed.
So depends on the storyline the hearthstone cannon chooses to continue on if they use the same characters ever again.
E.V.I.L: league of explorers are dead, so are the alliance and the horde, galakround too.
I'd also like to see more buffs. Despite some tragic results (Luna's Pocket Galaxy broke the game, Extra Arms reverted just before wreaking havoc and Crystology still making no sense till this day), I think it is a good idea to provide a slightly different meta and at the same time improve your own collection without the need of spending anything. That's a good feeling.
Do you have any idea about which cards/archetypes you'd like to see buffed?
While they share many story threads (e.g. George's redemption) I think the two sides of the adventure are separate timelines, so yes Lazul dies in the Explorers' version of events, but she may not have done in the EVIL one. The airship battle (with or against Eudora) is a clear example where the two versions had a decidedly different outcome.
The biggest clue is that the EVIL leaders are all in Rafaam's deck when he plays against Galakrond, suggesting they are still alive and working together. That or he used the plague of undeath on them I suppose.
I remember dusting all my copies of it back when they decided to nuke the card. However, despite not having bought any Boomsday packs since then, I happen to own 3 regular copies and a golden one lol
If this card will be able to make it to Wild, even in one deck, I'll be glad (or maybe not? Man the PTSD is quite strong here) to hear that entrance again
Yeah back when that Echo change went through there was a lot of complaints about Reckless Experimenter still being nerfed so I definitely think there is a really good chance that is one of the reverts. They can always nerf it again in the future should it become OP.
What happened to the villains? We know lazul died to summon her old god, but what about the rest? George was redeemed, Rakinishu became a dragon thing, Kriziki died (I think if not she probably flew away), dragon killer guy died (I think), Eudora fled (or bailed when it went down). That's all I can remember off the top of my head so what happened to everyone else like Togwaggle, Hagatha, and Boom? Did they all die or something or did they flee like Eudora? And why did Boom do pretty much nothing the entire expansion?
What? Yogg thumbnail but the article does not mention him?
I don't care about any of that. But please, unnerf Yogg-Saron, Hope's End, he is a freakin Old God and yet he is just a joke compared to the Puzzle Box of Yogg-Saron, which is 10 spell guarantee without any need of spell stacking. And you can have two in the deck. Just WTF, do it. Praise Yogg!

Reckless Experimenter makes sense since they changed the entire mechanic to alleviate the problem. Ghostly Charger was changed for aesthetic reasons, so I doubt that changes. Boom, GI, and Raiding Party would all make sense.
Frankly, I think Raiding Party could be reverted in standard now, since they finally nerfed Preparation.
Hi, my name is Radu,I been playing hearthstone from Naxxramas era, and i still enjoy the game( mostly arena and battlegrounds), and for some time i'm streaming on Youtube. So today i decided to share my channel with you, i was thinking about this for a long time, but being a shy person and not a native English speaker, it was hard for me to make this post, and share the experience with you.
Now about the channel: Usually i stream 3-4 time per week, this my change to a more frequently schedule, in between stream, i will post highlights, may thoughts about the meta, arena changes in Hearthstone, expansion impact on arena, arena rotation, etc.( I feel like arena deserve more love from blizzard, i still think a lot of people love this game, my self included, and will be really happy if blizzard will grant more resources to the game mode.) And of course i will post LoR content.
And we will start things off with the latest Youtube video on my channel: A crazy expedition run with Teemo + Ezreal.
Any suggestion, healthy criticism, and ideas to help me improve my channel is welcome.
P. S. - Sorry for any mistakes i made in this post, like i said i'm not a native English speaker.
When burst cards are played in battle phase, you DO get another turn to counter-play. You just can't stop them from resolving with deny.
I think the point is more that you can't remove before the Burst happens. So in the specified example, Stand Alone will trigger before you can remove with (say) Mystic Shot
did you know that if the egg get destroyed she doesnt come back ?
Yeah. I've never actually seen an Anivia egg get destroyed (neither my own nor my opponent's), but I've always assumed that's how she was designed. Hence my comment that she's "very hard to take out permanently" - your opponent either has to eliminate her in battle and then hit her with a damage spell, or they need to use 2 removal spells in the same turn. But making her fully indestructable surely would've been too much.
Never? :o
Aside from removal, Rally with Challengers works fine as well. Popped an egg last night thanks to Fiora with a Relentless Pursuit.
On topic : At this point I've gotten to 7 wins with most strategies at one time or another (not bragging - I play a LOT of expeditions, it's going to happen sooner or later). My pointers:
- Demacia and Freljord tend towards the most splashable followers that can fit into any deck archetype, so picking one of those regions' champions early is wise
- Fiora win conditions almost never work unless they're Judgment-reliant, but what they do do is force your opponent into extended spell trades which is often beneficial to the Demacia player, who will typically have better follower statlines
- Certain champions are really good if you can put together a deck emphasizing their effects, but this is very hard to do early on; look to build a solid foundation with your starting deck and transition to supporting those champions properly over time. Notable examples are Ezreal and Yasuo
- Heimer decks are actually surprisingly strong in Expedition. I wasn't expecting it to be the case, but so long as you either bait early removal or run cards that can deny the kill (or revive him after the fact) you can ride all the way to value town.
- Hecarim is honestly pretty crazy even as a generalist in Expedition. Belonging to the region that gets Rekindler means you can freely revive him over and over while flinging him at face Nexus with reckless abandon. Add a Shark Chariot or two and he becomes pretty obnoxious.
My top five champions to pick - Tryndamere, Hecarim, Garen, Katarina, Braum
My worst five champions to pick - Ezreal, Teemo, Darius, Draven, Shen
I actually quite enjoyed it - though I skipped the non-free elements of the previous 2 single player content as f2p and wasn't worth the gold (in my case others loved it).
This time though you kinda need the cards and can't craft them for over a year, so saved and was ready :)
Play on all 3 servers so completing it 3 times over was a chore at times, but not excessively so.
Will do the heroic at some point but likely only on my main EU account. All in all an interesting way to finish the year.

I'm curious to see if 3 mana Raiding Party will be enough to allow a resurgence of Kingsbane Rogue.
In a meta full of Combo decks (Quest Mage, Mecha'thun Warlock above all) I think it could fit nicely.

Nice clickbait by putting Yogg in the thumbnail

No, they will not revert Reckless Experimenter.
What happened to the villains?
So minor spoilers ahead.

Just sitting here, waiting on Yogg-Saron, Hope's End to be reverted.
Blizzard May be Reverting Card Nerfs on the Next Set Rotation
I think it would okay for these cards to be un-nerfed, none of them would impact the wild meta at all. Maybe giggling inventor would..

I would really like to see some more buffs this year. Some archetypes are close to viable, but not quite there yet.

The first expansion of the game will probably be themed around agriculture
Thanks! I've been been playing a lot more Mythgard and find it much more enjoyable.
The expansion will be great! (hopefully...)

The Pepper Thread - Share Some Good Vibes!
Time has passed since those times, but winning because of a Deathwing board-wipe still feels incredibly satisfying.
No Reno, Don't Wear That! This Week's Tavern Brawl is Brawl of Gaudiness
When did Reno lose his left hand??
Best Fiora deck for the meta right now?
