  • Achievements not counting towards Quest reward.

I made a cheese deck with 2x Lucian, 2x Garen and 2x Darius.  My first game I had played one of each.  The rest was a mix I can't remember.  No WAY it shouldn't have completed my quest.

  • Blizzard May be Reverting Card Nerfs on the Next Set Rotation

Man, I wonder if they'd dare to revert the Nerf on Raza the Chained.

  • Blizzard May be Reverting Card Nerfs on the Next Set Rotation

Okay, I'm not saying there's no way they would, but I think they would find that not reverting the nerf would be helpful in reducing the risk of some deathrattle costing 0 in the future. My guess is that maybe they want to stick with the principal (in the future) that nothing should be able to be reduced to 0. Though the main counter to my argument is Sorcerer's Apprentice being able to make plenty of Mage's spells cost 0 (not excluding the iconic Exodia Mage)

I was hoping for some sort of mod to allow you to simulate the VR tech using two mouses. I don't think its too far fetched really.

Guess I'll have to wait until VR tech gets reasonably priced in the market.

Hope you can still play it without the VR.

VR tech still too expensive, sadly.

VR only, unfortunately. The game's mechanics are built around having it and they're doing stuff that wouldn't really be possible with a keyboard and mouse outside of "press F to do this entire action sequence"

    Quote From Thanatos

Does not work against any highlander decks with Zephyr (4 mana silence kills yo)

    Quote From Thanatos

This deck does not work against priest... impossible to win... feels bad...

If you're facing lots of res priest you can tech in Zul'Drak Ritualist. Absolutely kills them. In any case, the only way priest wins definitely is if they get Zerek's Cloning Gallery on 9. Other than that, just don't over extend your eggs (Mass Dispel turns them into 0/5, so your board slots are dead). Its a long match, don't draw if you don't have to.

Against highlander decks, the albatrosses will see to them fine enough. Besides which, they only get one shot. They still need to clear the board.

  • Top Rung of the Ladder - Decklists for the Highest Winrate Hearthstone Decks in the Top 1%

It's quite sad that there isn't even one proper Control deck among the 5 best performing lists (and even more sad that on of the best, if not the best, Control deck is Highlander Mage, which costs over 20k dust).

I guess we can define Quest Druid like that, but... ehh... I don't know how to describe exactly how I feel about it. But it is indeed the one I appreciate the most among the 5.

To be honest I don't see the rotation changing this trend at all, since (based on what we know now), these 5 lists will only lose:

    game-ending only for one archetype.
What I'm trying say is that (again, given the information that we currently have: if by chance this year's rotation will bring chances to the evergreen set then all my comment may become extremely out of place) I'm afraid we're going to face another Year of the Raven (undewhelming sets which will be mostly overshadowed by the Year of the Dragon's ones) or we're gonna need a really impressive set in April in order to make the games last longer and punish aggressive lists (and then we're be all over again).

It's not that I hate the meta we're in (haven't played much Standard in the last week or so, but mainly due to personal duties), but I'd like to see some archetypes that haven't been on the radar for a long time (e.g.: an actual Control Priest that doesn't want neither of the two players to shoot themselves in the balls, a Control Warrior whose mirror isn't a pointless value shitshow that hits the turn limit, a DECENT Paladin deck that doesn't involve shooting your opponent from 25 to 0 or having nightmares about Hex and Polymorph,... I could go on, but I think I made my point).

I don't want to be a Doomsayer, but I'd rather like to read other users' opinion on the matter.

I cant understand this new VR trend. I don't like.  I am looking forward for another Half Life ofcourse.

Conclusion : The one dude that has been playing combo priest this season is pretty good :)

I'm more waiting for a general review of wild instead of unnerfing cards.

At the current state of wild, none of the cards listed will have made any impact, nerfed or unnerfed.

  • Blizzard May be Reverting Card Nerfs on the Next Set Rotation

Yogg and Patches would be great.

  • Blizzard May be Reverting Card Nerfs on the Next Set Rotation

Unnerf Dreadsteed please. It was my favourite card back then.

    Quote From JFK

I thought it was just me & my bad luck :)

I didn't keep the results, but after getting from no quests to three 60 quests with rerolling, I started paying closer attention and realized the 60 quests are definitely more common than the 80 and 100 ones, at least in my case. Especially when I remember last year always having at least two 100 quests every three days.

Anyway, if this is the case, it could mean we'll get more events like these throughout the year, like The Taverns of Time.
    At least I hope so.

It didn't feel different than last time for me, but I didn't record the results and I try not to base conclusions to heavily on my personal experience - small sample size, confirmation bias etc.

But interesting to hear it at least seemed similar for you.

Don't want to moan about free dust!  But if there was weighting wish they'd have been more transparent rather than "here's 8 quests you can get, half are 80/80+".

Maybe some HS stats people collected data and will make a Youtube video on it - that I'd find pretty interesting!

  • Half-Life: Alyx, available March 23, 2020

It's not Half-Life 3, but it might as well be. I figured there would never be another Half-Life game again!

I just upgraded my computer, and could totally play this now if I got a VR headset... honestly kind of tempting...

  • Commander Ledros ought to round down

While I don't agree with some of the reasoning in this thread, I have to concur with the overall sentiment.

If you look at all the 8-mana followers in the game, it's very obvious that Ledros is just plain super-crazy. As in, I can't believe they printed this crazy garbage crazy.

    • Roughly the same stats as other 8-drops
    • Immediately deals direct damage to enemy nexus (up to 10 damage!)
    • Returns to hand and can be resummoned for infinite value, infinite direct damage (expensive, but infinite nonetheless)
    • Fearsome, so impossible to chump block
    • Very few ways in the entire game to keep him from coming back

Even if he cost 10 mana, I might still consider him problematic.

  • Achievements not counting towards Quest reward.

I've had the same thing happen to me on different quests.  I remember having a "Spend 'X' Spell Mana" quest, so I made sure to bank mana each turn so I would constantly be using that extra mana.  However, when each game ended, I never received any progression towards quest completion.

On the flip side though, I've had quests complete themselves without me working toward them at all.  I once had a "Play 'X' Shadow Isles Champions" quest, but it wasn't the region I wanted to try that day (figured I'd just keep it for another day).  However, when the next game I played ended, that same quest earned progression towards completion even though I had no corresponding champions in my deck.

    Strange stuff...

  • The use of barrier and some spells

    Quote From Bystekhilcar
    Quote From Author
Drain should not heal if hitting a Barrier

Now this I agree with, as it's consistent with the Overwhelm treatment. The wording states that the damage is negated, and if the damage is negated then it isn't dealt. If damage isn't dealt, no draining is done. It's also consistent with Lifesteal, because a Lifesteal follower hitting a Barrier will not heal the Nexus.

Logically, the opposite of the bold part would be true: In order to negate something, that thing has to exist in the first place. "Negate" doesn't mean "erase from existence." It means "cause to be ineffective or invalid." Barrier takes damage that does exist and renders it ineffective -- it makes it so that damage is not subtracted from the unit's health.

If this is inconsistent with Lifesteal, however, that does feel like a bug one way or the other.

  • Floating Watcher is Moving to Tavern Tier 4 in a Server Patch this Thursday

I understand, I am amazed how much has this site evolved over the past few months, and it's still very smooth.

Flux is posting news and coding, seriously, this guy is under-appreciated I feel :P

I disabled my ad-blocker some time ago, because the ads are not annoying and help supporting OOC :)

  • Floating Watcher is Moving to Tavern Tier 4 in a Server Patch this Thursday

It's interesting, but I think it might be enough. Just because there's NO good demons on 4, so usually it was better to stay at 3 few turns, to skip through Tavern 4 as fast as possible.

And now... you have to get to 4, Floating Watcher is key component and "build-enabler" for Demons (yes, you can also play Soul Juggler build too). At least it isn't "over-nerf", so we shall see what happens.

  • Achievements not counting towards Quest reward.

    Which Champions did you play?

  • Blizzard May be Reverting Card Nerfs on the Next Set Rotation

Oh yeah, I didn't think about that.

I would still like to see some other cards that got nerfed years ago reverted back. It would be fun to play with un-nerfed Knife Juggler, Novice Engineer, or Abusive Sergeant or other such cards.

  • Blizzard May be Reverting Card Nerfs on the Next Set Rotation

I'm all for reverting Yogg and changing Warsong to something useful again (the old version giving rush instead of charge seems reasonable).

But I'm not sure we want Patches having charge again, nor even rush. Unlike Yogg and Warsong he's still good and gets used.

  • Legends of Runeterra - Board Details

I'm just itching to click random things around the board and hope they do something. They need to make a bandle city board or something that has interactable dohickeys I'd buy it in an instant.
