I'm below-average, but here are my thoughts:
Sometimes you're going to face an opponent who got perfect offerings, and there's just not much you can do about it. Accept that as a quirk of this game mode and soldier on
Avoid the trap of thinking any one strategy is best strategy. Every champion pair has multiple paths to seven wins, and the trick is spotting which is most viable based on the particular offerings you get.
Don't accept a trade just because its offered. Sometimes you're better off keeping what you have.
Try to keep a decent curve. It's not as important as constructed, but you can still get punished hard if you don't have a few early blockers.
Try to keep a good balance between your combat tricks & spot removal to your physical units--you don't want too many, but at the same time you want to be able to stop an things like an early Zed or a 6/6 Crowd Favorite.
Mono decks are just powerful in expeditions. Try to make mono decks in expeditions. Mono Demacia, Mono Shadow isles and Mono Noxus are good choices for at least 4-5 wins. Other mono decks are fine too but most poweful ones are these 3.
Demacia is one of the good choices for every run. Mostly for challenger units. Don't be trapped with the idea "if i can get elusives, i can win more." Elusives are good when you can buff them.
I got my 5+ wins with Demacia mostly so suggesting you to do the same.
Also, if you can get Heimerdinger in first choice, just grab him. Heimerdinger is one of the greatest champions in Expeditions. Grab some Demacia stuff with Heimerdinger and you will be around 4-5 probably if you are a good pilot.
It sounds like OP needs more taunts in his deck and needs to be mindful of being below ~10 HP. Also, according to HSReplay, Leeroy is in ~44% of all decks. If you are being this paranoid about him, you need to just assume they have em and take the necessary precautions. Otherwise, your entire post just comes off as you being unprepared. Go back to the salty threads where you can blow steam off.
Dude. You sound like you are always prepared for him and never get crushed by him (good for you then but I doubt it). Isn't it just boring? Being like "fuck, Leeroy incoming, and there is nothing I could do to prevent it". Yes it is.
Also, you sound like you never got 16+ to face out of nowhere, from Warriors, Rogues etc. So your below 10 argument is nowhere near the truth.
My post is not about salt, but I'm sure you know better. I don't mind losing, those days are way behind me. It's a complaint about how boring it is to lose to the same dude for 6 years.

The days of 16+ to the face are very few and far between. Maybe it's different on EU vs NA but I just dont see that combo much these days. I say ~10 because if I get slammed in the face, it's to one Leeroy and 1 other buff or dmg spell I didnt see coming.

39-12 from rank 17 to rank 5 this season as not played for a few months.
I've never climbed from rank 9/10/11 to rank 5 without a loss before and likely won't again.
(just to mitigate sounding like a brag post, significant luck was likely on my side and same deck on NA was giving me ~50% at rank 10! - so I'd say I'm average rank 5 player at best)

The name is also partially inspired by the sheriff of Broken Hills from Fallout 2, a supermutant, humanoid so big he could strap a damn gattling cannon to his forearm and carry it in one hand.
Not long after that I forgot the password to my old e-mail account so I created a new one. I wanted to use the name Marcus again but an e-mail address like that already existed, even xMarcusx, and since e-mails don't allow you to use brackets and I really like symmetry, I took inspiration from what we were learing in math class at the time (absolute values) and used lower case L's as brackets around my nick. Detain has advantage over direct damage spells, since Barrier cant block it, tho i havent had much success with it myself, namely in Expeditions, but like others said, it is not a card for every deck and given on the situation, it can be a great card or a dud.
Im still learning myself, but generally Ionia and Elusive minions can cheat out the games, not to mention Ionia is pretty strong paired with pretty much anything ... and you get access to Deny.
You definitely want to draft for early game tho, because if you lose board, there is a good chance you can never recover, also early game chip damage on Nexus can be very crutial and you just might not have enough time to recover, so be very picky about high cost cards, minions especially, since there is a good chance you will never play them. Spells you can be more lenient with, since you can do some nasty plays with Spell Mana.
Also some champions are just not great for Expeditions, i havent had luck with Katarina so far, you cant waste mana to play her early and have her self remove from the board and be behind on tempo and if you can get that far that you can utilize her Rallies, you are probably in a good position anyway.
Some like Tresh or Karma are pretty great in any situation for example.
I enjoy Pathfinder in Apex Legends and Widomaker in Overwatch. They both use grappling hooks, which are awesome in my opinion. Although I've never played it, the art for the video game Shovel Knight is pretty cool. So I decided to combine my favorite video game weapon with an awesome title and there we go ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

My name comes from my need to give a name to an otherwise unnamed character I was playing. I've always been into theater and was in a musical production of Narnia-- yes, that exists. I had the part of the evil dwarf sidekick to the White Witch. Since my character was just called "dwarf" in the script, I decided to give him a name. I had a huge crush on the girl playing the witch at the time and gladly accepted her suggestion that I name him "Goliath" for the sake of fun and irony. Later on, my younger brother talked me into making my steam account, and I opted to go with that name for the heck of it. I rather strongly identify with dwarfs in fantasy since they have great beards, appreciate good craftsmanship, and tend to enjoy singing. I'm also a bit on the short side, so that helps as well, lol. At any rate, I ended up making pretty much all my online accounts with the same name for the sake of easy identification. It's basically becoming my personal brand at this point and may even end up becoming a full-on character in some youtube videos in the future.

Butcher needs to be at 1-mana. It's a card that would be absolutely bonkers in Hearthstone and it's not different here....welll either that or nerfing the Cursed Keeper spawn.
I absolutely agree that Cursed Keeper does not need a 0-mana activator. People would still happily play it even if Glimpse and Vile Feast were the only ways to pop it yourself.
Butcher could even cost 2 mana, and people would still used it to kill Undying and Keeper and probably other Last Breath units as well.

I like your idea of Killroy Watkins and fully support Leeroy Jenkins to be HoF if this card takes its place.
What does it do? Does 6 damage to face, with 2 health and spawns two 1/1 worthless imps for your opponent.

Its a great removal card imo.

I believe the next patch is scheduled for Feb. 18, and yes, it's supposed to be a big balance patch.
