  • Say Goodbye to Free Hearthstone Packs via Twitch Drops - Esports Moves to YouTube

There is no evidence this is currently implemented for Hearthstone. But "differentiated gaming experiences" has me worried in what way they want game experiences to be different, especially when it comes right after "curated recommendations for in-game offers".

I also don't get the 3 expedition thing, I used my token and completed my first expedition but I didn't get any other run

They have a patent, but that doesn't mean it's implemented. But if they'd never consider implementing a mechanism like that, they wouldn't have bothered to spend money to patent it.

  • Your standard ladder climb (January 2020)

Well, I reached rank 5 yesterday, now it's time to fiddle with Dragon Paladin :)

  • Another happy first time FTP legend

yeah, Quest Hunter is a pretty underrated deck. I think most people are turned off by the amount of specific legendaries you need for it.

I just want to say what an excellent job you do with these reports.

  • Hearthstone in Virtual Reality Prototyped Internally by Blizzard Developers

I guess it would be like the new cinematics they do where the little guy pops up refer to the "win or lose" cinematic with the murlocs and sheep. I wonder if the heroes would be models like in WoW or we'd just stare at hero portraits with hands floating around them

Seriously? Where's my help then lol I've spent a sh*t ton of money on HS and I'm always (literally always) matched up against someone who counters my deck directly. It's gotten so bad that I've pretty much stopped playing at all recently...

  • New Mage Minion - Arcane Amplifier

    Staff

I imagine it works like Valen + Malygos + spell that deals damage: adds first, multiplies later.

  • New Mage Hero - The Amazing Reno

@Pezman: they are not added to any res pool. They are just removed from the game as if they never were in your deck. So they can not be resurrected. Which is a pretty solid answer to  a Priest board or a deathrattle/reborn board. Against any board in fact :). Also useful to clean up your own minions before your Mecha'thun turn.

Truthfully, I'm not sure any of this will actually matter. If your favorite show went from Fox to NBC, it'd still be your favorite show. \

I imagine almost everyone who posted here doesn't actually watch Blizzard e-sports anyway. They just like to complain.

The people who watch esports will still watch. It's not as if Youtube streaming is a broken product that will make it unwatchable.

Interested to see it in VR? Sure why not as long as it doesn't hinder ones ability to play the game. Interested in playing it in VR? Nope.

The mouse is part of me for "from the moment I open my eyes, it's in my blood like cheap wine, bitter and sweet, tinged with regret. I'll never be free of it, nor do I want to be. For it is what I am, all that is and should always be."

Obvious question: how does the calculation work with a Clockwork Automaton? Will it be add first, then multiply (= 6) or multiply then add (=4). In the happy scenario, two of these and two clockworks would yield 20 ((1+2+2)* 2 *2) damage, add the Fire-Eater's and you are lethal (9*4=36)  already. So indeed when all or some of these minions cost only 1 mana heavy nukes are on the agenda, not to mention the possibility to copy them on board with a faceless manipulator. But then they need to stick, and sure enough they are probably going to be targeted by the opponent.

Add a Spirit of the Dragonhawk and you will have your jan'alai complete in one turn possibly for 7 mana, but this could already be done cheaper using a Daring Fire-Eater.

So interesting for elemental decks and for hero power oriented stuff.

Still its use is pretty limited until they print more hero power rewards, maybe a quest?

  • My first impressions playing LoR

To throw in my 2 cents, I've been playing Legends of Runeterra since Thursday and having an absolute blast. I've played both Magic and PvP Hearthstone a decent amount, though nowhere near competitively. This game, I've been filling hours with on just this one weekend. To me, Riot's statement that they've "taken the best elements from popular CCGs, honed them, and added our own spin to it" (This is me paraphrasing, not an actual quote) rings 100% true.

I've always found Hearthstone a bit too simplistic to take super seriously, while Magic (which I know from my childhood, plus I've recently played a bit of MTG Arena) feels way too daunting with its hundreds of different keywords and thousands of cards. Runeterra strikes the ideal middle ground, giving me opportunities to outsmart my opponent (or be outsmarted by them) while staying reasonably easy to grasp. The shared-round-alternating-turns system feels completely distinct from any other CCG I've played and works just great. Not to mentioned the F2P-friendly progression system.

One thing I disagree on with the OP is the wording on the cards using the 1st person. I don't find it makes the text harder to comprehend at all. It's a neat immersive touch, and in some cases, I'd argue it makes the text more easily digestible: "I've seen 3 allies die" sounds way less convoluted than "After 3 allies have died while this card is in play".

  • New Neutral Minion - Boompistol Bully

This can save your day when you know some battlecries are coming. Especially good against, say, Leeroy Jenkins.

    nice job mate!

Thank you! Glad I made the climb before winged guardian haha!

  • Arcane Amplifier

I think a 3 mana 2-5 elemental is good without the extra HP.  Has decent chances to survive when played on curve.

  • [Game] Card Treasure Hunt (The Resurrection Attempt)

    Dark Iron Dwarf is correct.

    It's a popular Arena common.

It has the same effect as Abusive Sergeant but has never been used in Constructed.

It costs the same as Chillwind Yeti but the stats are just short of beating it.

When you summon him, he says "You call that a weapon? Hah!"

    Your turn!

  • Arcane Amplifier

I noticed this card is already in the game, it can be discovered by a Dune Sculptor.

On one hand, fuck Twitch. THat platform is rotten to the core and plagued by insane deicions making and other garbage.

On the other hand, YouTube isn't any better, if not worse.

I hope this doesn't end up affecting regular streamers as well, because despite everything Twitch does wrong, it's at least not as downright incompetent as YOuTube

  • Random Champion card removed from vaults

you will always get a champion out of the rewards from expedition so you in fact  getting more rewards this way that the random champ besides if you get 7 wins in any of the trials you get another expedition token  this change is a super good for us .

Btw where did you hear that you get another expedition token when you get 7 wins? I got 7 wins in my first expedition this week (yay!) but I didn't get another token, just a lot of cards and shards.

Same here. I also don't recall hearing that, though I do vaguely recall being guaranteed to get enough shards to buy another run if you get past a certain threshold. I forget what numbers are required, though.

It requires 3000 shards to enter an expedition, which is exactly the same amount that is required to craft a specific champion card. I don't remember if we started at 0 shards but I currently have about 5000, which includes shards I've gotten so far from region rewards, so I would not be surprised if I got exactly 3000 shards from my 7-win expedition.

7 wins in expanditions should give 3000 shards to go "infitite" that's how it works..

I think the token is much better than a random champion since expanditions are fun and you get the random champion in the end but they said in the level 10 vaults.. wonder if they are in the level 13 vaults... looking forward to tomorrow to actually get a nice amount of cards to try new decks

  • Quest troubles

Oops, idk why I did think zed is from shadow isles, my bad.
But Jinx still does not work, played 5 games today, and summoned jinx at least two time but it wont budge :/
I guess it some kind of a flaw on their side.

    Thanks for the reply!

cause zed is a shadow manipulator so shadow isles. it's ok not everyone is familiar with league's lore.

You should contact riot's support if you are impatient, but I am sure they are aware of such bugs by now.. there's a reason this is a beta version.

  • Jinx Level-up Timing

As soon as your hand is empty you level up jinx, you can see that with Augmented Experimenter that he always upgrades jinx if she is on board when he is played.

on the 2 scenario for sure they emptied they hand and upgraded jinx for that +1/+1
