The hero just killed this card. It had a lot of potential. The is the worst hero power ever as it can make you loose the game. Blizz had no problem giving Hagatha and Rexxar really cool hero powers. Most of Galakrond hero powers are good. But for Mage...I am really starting to believe that the devs have a thing against mage...they really don't like this class..
At the same time, basing this adventure in "pre-built mode" besides your collection makes easier to new users to obtain, hopefully, some new meta-changer cards available to "everyone". Never forget Sludge Belcher , Undertaker, Reno Jackson and Brann Bronzebeard. Seems pretty fair to me :)
Exactly. It's jjust bad and annoying to find the same deck 90% of the time.
It's not a magic tournament. It's Hearthstone laddering. There shouldn't be any 60% in popularity. HS has so many cards and unique effects that every deck could be playable. Face hunter win against every tempo and control deck as there is no more healing in the game, priest could has them but they are weak unfortunately.
However, i don't really care as I really hate playing in standard. People play 2/3 tier 1 decks hard playing for rank 5. I'll stick with wild, broken etc etc but at least I see some diversity
Been playing embeggen token druid in wild, standard doesn't have enough good low cost cards to buff, token druid in standard is too spell heavy, and there is a lack of card draw and buffable minions (like eggs or echoing oozes) just make embeggen in standard overshadowed..
But it wild it hasn't been discovered how strong it is yet.
I've been running a variation of Hunter that is entirely centered around bugs to surprising success. Infested Goblin + 9 Lives keeps the board full of Taunt and Knife Thrower + Swarm is a great AOE combo that can be supplemented by Revenge of the Wild for a good amount of burst damage. Toxic Reinforcements + Knife Thrower extends the lethal range. I prioritize Rush minions, keeping the Griffins handy and of course Desert Spear. Key points about this deck is it has a quick reaction to threats, and the amount of 1/1 attackers keep from needlessly overkilling opposing minions, lending to the efficiency of damage points. Matches up poorly to Pirate Warrior, but the quick reaction and ability to quickly fill a board means I can react to my opponent in a "wait and see, then rush" strategy.
You have to remember that the hero power doesn’t cost a card to do as well. From what I remember, Blizz said at one point they specifically had to change the Shaman Death Knight from freeze support to evolve stuff because it wasn’t fun to play against and ended up being too much.
From experience, being able to lock down a big minion for however long you want is actually really good. It’s sort of similar to the upgraded Shaman hero power. You can choose a taunt totem and effectively stop one of their minions every turn. That ends up being really helpful, and with this it isn’t up to your opponent which one gets stopped.
One final thing, Blizzard AI is pretty well known for being incompetent, so using a solo encounter as an example for how strong something is isn’t that strong of an example. Even with an extremely overpowered hero power they can very well play stupidly enough that you win without much trouble
This, really. Haven't had much trouble against them with galakrond warrior. They don't have as much heal as you think. Playing around defile and plague is key though.
As the face hunter, you are the aggressor and should use every bit of mana to push damage.
Doomsayer is more a defensive tool. Also drawing it late when looking for damage for lethal can be back breaking.
Additionally, I would argue against Elven Archers. I'd prolly take Leper Gnomes over them. They do 1 more damage and the targeted aspect matters less in a face deck. Also you need Tracking I think. You need to find damage for reach. The discarded cards don't really matter in a short game.
Guys, maybe a dumb suggestion, but what about Doomsayer in Face Hunter? I've been trying it out in the 2 mana slot, over Spellzerker, Knife Juggler etc. Because some people mentioned that Face Hunter needs board control in the early turns in order to snowball to a win. Well, Doomsayer usually clears the board and gives me initiative. I once killed a board of Taunts with it so Leeroy could follow up with a Charge to the face, and I also won a game where it killed of my Leper Gnomes for the win.
I'm playing Quest Malygos druid instead of simple quest druid (though I run only 2 new cards both of which are Treenforcements because I don't want to clog my hand with Worthy Expedition)
I’ve been playing it in Wild and the deck that consistently beats me is Secret mage. Also a quest shaman with double battle cry dirty rat and death lords beat me and it seemed with the heavy tech in his deck still had other options.
sometimes the game is over by turn 10 when I get the combo off. I think the key is to go face and not trade. Caveat this is in ranks 14-11.
This is by far my favorite part of this website. Thank you for the community that you build as you love on the deck makers and those who live on the wild side.

Aggro Hunter cards.
Agree on Doomsayer. It's bad on face hunter.

Exactly, but if you can't Zihi can help you to achieve that, you should have enough time to draw her.

Super stoked on this! And mobile right out the gate is great since these games are played 80% mobile for me!
Aggro Hunter cards.
Doomsayer makes Unleash combo's much weaker though, I would advice against it.

Kill him before he kills you.

Maybe I'm thinking too much about it xd
