I love the Cutlass, made some 300wins in wild with it, and like to try in in standard. But I neither own Captain Greenskin nor Edwin. What are good alternatives? Did you test any of the following cards?
Academic espionage- because I don't care about winrate? And a second cutlass?
A pirate-or attack synergy, like the growing 3/3, or the combo-pirate that buffs your weapon?
Maybe Shadowstep&Evil Miscreant for more options?
I ran a list very similar to this before SoU (also without Greenskin) and found that good option was Cutthroat Buccaneer. It also buffs the weapon attack while being tutorable from Raiding Party
-This set takes place in Dragon Blight, which is home to all the Dragon Shrines, and Wrymrest Temple. -This set has uncertain futures, just like the End Time dungeons and the final raid with Deathwing -This set hints at time travel and possibly a new key word. Maybe one that similar to Choose One or play a card, and an altered copy of it goes into your deck. Kind of like Forgotten Torch. This is my personal speculation. -This set will feature LOTS of dragons, and possibly the biggest grand daddy of them all Galakrond.
I often do something different for the community. Whenever I am at about Rank 5 and get matched with a player at R6 I instantly concede because I know how valuable this win is for them.

A guy did this for me a few seasons back and absolutely made my day, so I've been paying it forward by doing the same ever since. Great way to spread a bit of positivity :)

This is is actually making hearthstone a better place! Roping someone because they are roping you is not, its just wasting your own time to feel like you are getting back at someone who is also wasting your time.
Got to rank 5 with combo-whip-warrior (danes list) and n'zoth-rogue quite easily this month, then continued to experiment with otk-ra-warlock and hakkar-control warrior and surprisingly kept climbing, hovering between rank 3 and 4 now.
I usually don't play much beyond dailies after reaching 5 but this time I am really enjoying the meta, n'zoth is among my favorite cards as he can be a great tool to stall out or be a win condition in itself.
I don't really get why everyone hates on shaman that much, sure if of they luck out with an early evolve it sucks, but there have been far worse things around imo(maybe that's because I also play wild and am used to being hit in the face for 20dmg in turn 4). They don't seem that strong, I think the main selling point of the deck is how straight forward and ez to play it is. The only thing annoying about it for me is how many you face at times, but like I said, could be worse.
In general I think it was a good idea to bring back some wild cards, will be interesting to see if any more strategies evolve(hehe) or things stay the same now for the rest of the event/expansion.
I feel that, considering the popularity of zephrys, it would be recommended to either run the quest or a second cutlass as a fallback plan. Otherwise you are basing your entire gameplan on a single card that you not only have to draw but also keep alive.
Also, I think with the amount of burgle effects, The cutlass lacks sustain. Academic Espionage should help with that in the lategame.
Thanks for sharing your Questlander build! I played the quest a lot before the Wild cards rotated in and like the idea of including a N'zoth package. I'm curious to hear more about your experience in the new meta; in particular, what have been your toughest match-ups and what have been the best and worst performing cards?
At first glance, I'm a little worried about the early game (my Malylander Hunter runs into similar issues) and wonder about the consistency of a few cards. For example, do you often find you're getting good value from Revenge of the Wild, Desert Hare, and Eccentric Scribe? I know they can be strong in certain situations, but I could also see them being dead cards or win-more cards more often than I'd like. I also wonder how Sea Giant has been performing for you as I was a little disappointed by its consistency in my earlier Questlander builds.
Thanks again for sharing your build! I think I'll try this out this week and will probably play around with swapping:
Desert Hare for another Unleash the Hounds as it has all the anti-aggro and quest progression perks along with synergizing nicely with Revenge of the Wild or Leeroy later. In general, I'm not too worried about adding one or two doubles to the list (in the previous meta I ran 2x Unleash and 2x Swarm of Locusts and it wasn't usually an issue).
If I stay fully singleton, I may swap Revenge of the Wild for Animal Companion or Bone Wraith to help against aggro.
Eccentric Scribe might be swapped for Nine Lives to get a better deathrattle late game or just Halazzi, the Lynx for quest progression.
Sea Giant will probably be subbed for one of the above or possibly Boommaster Flark for some refill late game (or even Call of the Wild...though I'd probably want to get Emperor Thaurissan in the deck too in this case).
Considering that the two previous expansions called back both old enemies and old allies, I suppose that by putting in Dragonblight (a region of Northrend, where the Lich King has his throne) mean that we're going to revist also KotFT.
Very casual month this time, Arena hooked me for good. Still managed to get to Rank 1! I may try legend on the last day if i can find some time. I played a bunch of T2 decks and worse. N‘zoth rogue got me far, highlander hunter is still fun, Druid was great before shaman got so prominent, ...
Highlander Paladin lost me a bunch of stars, i fail to find the win condition on this one.
Overall i‘m doing well in this shamanstone! But i guess all good shaman players are long legends by now..

Oops, lol. That has some bad implications of what happens behind closed doors in Dalaran. Thanks for the complement buddy. :) I do my best. The upside to my being a college student right now is that I have a lot of writing practice and can do a decent job of making things clear. The downside is that sometimes homework keeps me too busy to do enough proofreads on these articles, lol.
Climbed from 15 to 8 in wild with Mech Hunter and Mech Pally... only doing quests and farming for the 1.000 wins portrait. Then switched to Secret Mage, which is a nice change from all those mechs. First world problem: I'm at 800 wins with mage, but I also got the Medivh skin 3 years ago. I'm not sure if I even want to use the alternate Jaina skin once I get it.

"Not as tasty as funnel cakes, but still pretty good."
The powerful rush is counteracted by the Deathrattle, which gives a buff to the minion that destroys it (or as I imagine, eats it). Could lead to cool combos if you can trigger the Deathrattle with your own minion.
I am surprised you are not using the quest with this deck. Seems like it would fit in really easily.
It's a slightly different take on quest Rogue. It concentrates on buffing the lifesteal weapon which helps you stabilise in the mid game and then get excellent value from your burgled cards.
If weapon destruction becomes more prominent, I don't think it would do as well (you'd probably put in a second weapon) but for now you mostly just need to avoid Zephrys.

Not really - the point of this specific build (which is basically the same Burgle Rogue that existed before SoU with the new relevant cards added) is to buff the Spectral Cutlasses. If you have the quest, you're using your new hero power to generate weapons and thus destroy the cutlasses, which totally defeats the purpose.

You didn't make hearthstone a better place. Now two people are angry instead of one. Great job everyone

Actually craft them, because I've been having a blast playing a Wild Pally deck, and those are great Early game cards.
