Hands down my favorite card for Warlock. It was my first gold card, and I finally got to craft the second golden one recently. I love this card so much.
I cracked this bad boy in gold and I have yet to really make him playable in standard. I thought that with the rotation of Bloodreaver Gul'danthat he would come back. But I've not see it yet. Anyone else?
I've been able to use this in RARE occasions. If I draw into it, it sits while I play other things. If I have it and a Grim Rally it is a good enough combo to make people think of something to do. But against most decks, a swarm of 2 health minions is laughable at best.
I've only seen people using this as a meme card so far. Unfortunately, it is usually set up with a turn for the opponent to kill off all your minions that you intended on sacrificing for this spell and thereby not getting value out of it. Has anyone been able to get it to work?
I've had really good experience with this card so far. Of course you HAVE to be willing to play control to really get the benefit from it, but that's just what I see
This guy seems just so mediocre. There are so many "Giants" that aren't worth it... and unfortunately this seems like one of them. By the time you have killed enough Imps to make this guy playable at a discount, it's really really late game and there are probably a number of way to deal with him by then.
Has anyone been able to make this work yet? I've been waiting to craft it, and if I craft anything for Warlock I'm inclined to make it gold. I just don't want to waster 3200 on a Meme card
I've not encountered any "Lackey Lock" decks other than the common Zoo that is running around, and even then I do not see this guy getting play. Has he been shown to be worth it?
Man, Barnes nerf, after all those years of ignoring it, feels like an atom bomb almost... It probably won't kill Big Priest, but that was probably their intention too. I am happy that they did it anyway. There's still no counterplay or interaction against Resurrect mechanics... maybe one day.
They could have done the nerfs differently, sure. But at least its about 2-3 weeks into expansion, so nerfs arrive REALLY quickly this time. Probably 1 week quicker than in RoS i think. So +1 to Blizzard for that :)
No counter play, except for literally any transform effect. Well, except Conjurors calling maybe, but that card doesn't need any more utility. But Plague of Murlocs, Tinkmaster (I mean, I know he's terrible now, but he would affect res mechanics), Poly, Hex, devolve, etc etc etc. All of these just destroy your res pool. Anything to summon minions for the opponent (Leeroy?? For a single example), all of these increase the chance of a whiff, and if you can do the transform before they load their res pool in the first place, then you're home and dry.
Not saying it's auto win every time, but I'm responding to the 'no counter play' comment; that's the counter play.
Sure it is an interaction, of course. I should have said it more clearly - I said "no counterplay" because in my mind, the counterplay options are extremely limited at this point.
We could see more interaction. I am annoyed at this point, that after 5 years in, there's still no mechanic, which can interact with Graveyard in some interesting ways.
Well i personaly am would prefer even more Buffs - i think they did a good Job with Buffs so far - except a little over the top with Luna's but everyone makes mistakes!
Sure there are Cards that already received Buffs and still do not see play (or not as much as they hoped it would) - but other are pretty good! so in my oppinion Buffs and of course Nerfs too are good for the game!
I like the idea. And I always had a similar idea, even more so when we first saw the "At the start of the game" effect.
I like it, because it eliminates the "did I draw my important CARD?" effect.
And it also incentivizes people to create interesting and new decks (the way you said it is an example).
However, for this effect to not be annoying, Hero Power has to be not too strong... I mean, it has to be SYNERGISTIC in some way, to fit your deck.
And then they should balance it just like cards. Hero Powers can cost more than 2 mana. How about ODD Paladin 4-mana - summon 2x 1/1 Silver Hand Recruits.
Obviously very weak... However, the synergies in your deck, can make it strong. See, this way, your CARDS actually matter more than Hero Power...
You could use it every turn, but without synergies, your opponent can easily defeat you.
I made one for fun. Not enough games to tell if it´s at lesat T3 but i guess so. Card draw is weak if you don´t draw Subject. Maybe i need to improve that a bit.
Mage deck might be fun to play, but it sure aint fun to play against. If they get an OK to good hand, often whatever you do you can't win and the game is effectively over turn 5.
I hope all classes can have something powerful, viable, skill testing but not crazy broken. I can dream :)
Felstalker
I've not seen any intel on why Blizzard did away with the Succubus. WTF?
Flame Imp

Plot Twist
I actually have been making REALLY good use out of this card. With Supreme Archaeology, you're able to ping it relatively quickly.
Rafaam's Scheme

Looking back at the Buffs experiment.
Well it syncs with my belief that it's more likely that a buff will break the game than a new card while being less likely to benefit the game.
Again though that's my own fears of the matter that I never can really shake. I'm willing to concede that I'm just paranoid.
Aranasi Broodmother
I've had really good experience with this card so far. Of course you HAVE to be willing to play control to really get the benefit from it, but that's just what I see
Fel Lord Betrug
I cracked this guy and have yet to put him into a playable... ANYTHING. Can anyone verify that this is more than a meme card?

Sinister Deal
I really want to see this employed more in standard.
Dark Pharaoh Tekahn
I've not encountered any "Lackey Lock" decks other than the common Zoo that is running around, and even then I do not see this guy getting play. Has he been shown to be worth it?
Riftcleaver
Has anyone been able to make this thing work in a constructed format? Everytime I see it, it doesn't work well.
Spending gold on wings to obtain Barnes?
I would encourage you to get the expansion because it's fun. Not to mention the cards can be played in Wild. If I were you, get the expansion
Spending gold on wings to obtain Barnes?
Great idea, just doing the same thing!

The Shielded Conquest Format - Exploring Different Lineup Strategies
I'm excited for this format. Not sure I realized how huge of a change going to a Bo3 format will be.
Making Highlander Paladin Work
You could include Bellringer Sentry and Masked Contender to get the secrets out faster.
Standard & Wild Decks to Try Before the Nerfs Arrive - Uldum Edition

Standard & Wild Decks to Try Before the Nerfs Arrive - Uldum Edition
Maybe Combo Priest could survive with Embalming Ritual and/or Holy Ripple instead of Extra Arms (mainly for Pyro purposes).
Surely not the same, but it could be enough.
New Mechanic Idea
no,
Rotating decks shown on front page
Good to know it is already on your minds. I understand it will take time to build up the site to where you want it to be.
