Tortoise is terrible in warlock, play crystallize instead.
Desert hare is just bad as well yes it's a beast but not worth, you want mana cheap cards to play with history buff, would remove tortoise, desert hare, spirit of the bat 1 spirit bomb
And add: another Vulture, 2 crystallizes, zilliax+ SN1P SN4P, 2 beaming sidekick, probably also - 2 helpless hatchling for dark deals or mecharoo as well.
In conclusion even if it's mostly for memes don't run bad cards, and do run good cards.
I'm only missing the armagedillo for the control one, is it necessary? can i replace it with something else? haven't played warrior in a while cause I hated the bombs.
It was the only decent legendary I got from the packs and used it since day one. I won't say it's a must craft since we are early in the meta yet, but sure is a great card. Unfortunately, if they nerf the deck it will be in a way that you won't get your dust back, as always. That said, for me the best card added in Sou is the plague followed by both taunts. As said before, maybe addind the second plague for now is suffice. Have fun!
I'm thinking of reskinning the SoU Quest, Legend of the Obelisks, into The Eternity Chamber.
In addition to the fact that Priest already has an obelisk related Quest in terms of the expansion's storyline, I feel like this fits the flavor better, and I want to have a chance to use this artwork for something. The artwork still doesn't fit with every Quest as they have their class's respective Explorer or Villain in their artwork, which is not possible with my SoU Quest.
So what do you guys think, is this better?
Ya think it's better the art feels more hearthstone like. Also it fells natural progression with the quest reward
EDIT: One of the main problems is Control Warrior, but frankly speaking there aren't many zoo options to improve that matchup, so I chose to ignore it.
I don't think you can reasonably distinguish "rarity creep" from power creep, it's part of the same process. Obviously if the average power level goes up over time, the amount of power you can expect from any given rarity will go up as well, to the point where today's commons might look like yesteryear's legendaries. That said, Maexxna was never a particularly powerful or exciting card, even when she was first introduced, so I have no problem whatsoever with a common card stealing her very very bland, vanilla thunder. If anything, Maexxna was a bad legendary, even back in the day: Sure, poisonous wasn't a keyword yet, but she was still effectively a fatter, more expensive Emperor Cobra.
As fr the issue of neutral legendaries, I for one am glad that they're no longer the most dominant force in HS as it would make deckbuilding incredibly stale and repetitive. It's bad enough that Zilliax goes into virtually every deck, the last thing I'd want is more auto-include neutral legendaries. I wouldn't mind seeing more decks that don't explicitly require a class legendary though.
Some of the older legendaries have silly effect but they've a lot of flavor linked to what they are into WoW, but going further into more recent sets I agree that Blizzard still printing awful cards just to fill packs and diluite what you may find in them. But recently they've buffed up some cards for the first time ever, so maybe there is a chance that one day we'll see some rework of the most terrible ones that may make them at last playable.
Sadly it seems like they've not fixed the bugged Mecha Jaraxxus starting animation nor Nemsy's potrait. I know that those are not priority bugs, but I find them really annoying considering how polish HS as always been overall.
Well I am currently lacking a lot, not only Reno and Zeprys, but also Siamat and stuff. So despite your overall praise of Zeprys I would try to save dust for him till the next expansion it seems. I could afford Freeze/Control/Big Spell mage though, so it is pretty okay for now I guess.
I managed to try out Highlander in the Whizbang recipe once, so my overall impression is split, I am personally not much impressed. Its like if I had at least some details for Highlander deck I would go for it, but right now it does not seem much worth it. Still could build some fun decks with resource I have =3
I love the idea of trying a standard rogue highlander and bouncing zephrys etc but don't have the cards yet to try it myself. And as ftp it would be nice to know if it's viable before spending my precious dust.
Have you tried an equivalent standard version??
The efficient bounce options in Standard are reduced to Shadowstep and Waggle Pick. You can use brewmasters, but they are a Tempo loss.
If you try Standard, i would suggest going straightforward for a faster deck, including stuff like Argent Commander and other Tempo cards, without caring too much of bouncing, if not occasionally.
All in all, i am not sure Standard Rogue has enough tools to make this viable, unlike eg Hunter.
Yeh.. You're probably right. I guess I'll keep playing my home-brew thief deck when I'm craving some rogue! Thank you for your reply!
I mostly have no problem with that. Some legendaries and their effects simply don't pan out, they don't justify being a unique effect. Sometimes it's bit sad to see a card you really liked lose its relevance but that's just a personal feeling with no significance for the game.
So me and a friend tried it out and sure enoegh, my friend had 6 health left, played Zephrys, i had 2 mana remaining after playing Soulpriest and then Zephrys, so i expected a Holy Light but nope. just some random garbage
Mech hunter is a mediocre deck in a vacuum, but it is carried by it's great matchups against popular decks.
The one problem with that sentence is that it is missing a vital part. It should read: Mech hunter is a mediocre deck in a vacuum, but it was carried by it's great matchups against last expansion's popular decks.
And that's why it gets listed in this thread as a currently bad deck. It is no longer any good against most of the popular decks in this current expansion, because they all have too many solid tech tools to deal with it. Sure, you might eke out a few wins with an off-meta deck that deals with it - but so will any bad deck. The point is that it is no longer a good deck to consider trying to rank up with in comparison with more consistently good decks.
Moving Whizbang to Classic would mean having to update that card for as long as the game receives updates. Team 5 can barely muster up enough interest to do anything with Wild, why would they pore that much effort into a single card?
What? They literally have to do nothing to keep him up to date. He simply uses the deck recipes that are in the game since day one and are getting updated since the very first expansion
If Zayle is any indication, it's likely that they will just continue printing new Whizbang-style cards every so often.
It's a much more efficient way to achieve the same result.
Efficient is not a way I would describe such action.. It's by no means efficient if anything it's clunky what they should have done is to give every single new player whiz bang after a milestone "have all classes at level 20" or something similar, make the card part of a reward set which should be reintroduced idk why they removed the whole set( I know why they wanted to remove murkeye though).
And that's a really good move, you have a card that new players can experiment with once they got to know the classes and removed the need to print a card every year with the same effect.
The current owners of whizbang will get 1600 dust or 3200 once they complete said quests I would say a golden whizbang is given to players with all classes at level 60.
I mean that's the logical solution, but I know blizzard will not do that and will create a new one every year/2 years..
Invasion of the Legion! (New Set, WIP)
Like it but the main problem is The Dark Portal on average it draws you 5 cards for just three Mana I feel like it should cost around 5-7 mana
Beast Zoo (Warlock, looking for improvements)

The amount of 1 drops is too low for zoo btw.
Rock, Paper, Scissors - 3 Competitive Standard Decks

Errr....... right.
Beast Zoo (Warlock, looking for improvements)
I've started building a Beast Zoolock deck around History Buff, Untamed Beastmaster and for the meme of it: Hir'eek, the Bat.
Faring well with it in Casual, but I'm looking for ideas to improve it in ladder matches (rank 5 and up).

Group Therapy! Need to blow off some steam? Mega salty? Here's the place!
I'm very frustrated. No matter what I try to do, I can't win any matches. I will be at rank 15 not losing stars for the entire season.

Tickling that pity timer
If the pity timer is somewhat > 350 packs why would someone ever want to trigger it? Seems like a huge waste of money or gold for to small a reward.
Zephrys: the great fails
I wonder if the amount of secrets up affects the result.. as in:
- 2 secrets = not enough to consider
- exactly 1 secret = get your SI-7infilltrator
- more than secrets 2 = flare.

Zephrys: the great fails
[Hearthstone Card (Zephrys) Not Found] has offered me SI:7 Infiltrator several times against mages with secrets up, but never Flare.
Played at 10 mana against a board consisting of a Voidlord, 3 Voidwalkers and Tirion Fordring, I was offered Brawl, Mind Control and Ancient of War. I really hoped for Twisting Nether as guaranteed clear for my remaining 8 mana.
