Not in Wild: Spiteful decks are viable if you like, but don't expect to compete with top tier decks. Spiteful is just too slow, and quite inconsistent too. And not having small spells generally means your swing capabilities are quite bad, so gl with any Aggro or Tempo deck. Phaoris is stronger but also slower. At that point you should include a stronger wincon in your deck instead.
On a sidenote that links to BSM, Puzzle Box of Yogg-Saron is an insanely strong card, basically a Yogg that can be tutored, copied and repeated.

I played some games with spiteful priest and King Phaoris was a nasty addition to hit those big spells we draw early. Especially, try a Khadgar with Spiteful. Maybe... highlander spiteful mage?!

Have you considered switching the Bloodbloom cataclysm combo out for Plague of Flames? It gives you extra space for a card like Rotten Applebaum or whatever.
Exactly, guys! I think you could do a resurrect-like deathrattle priest. Complete Obelisk first and then use twilight's call and all that stuff for the second. I think you could throw in a coffin crasher to bring those Obsidian Statues early on. Also, I think you could tinker more with that Reno Priest, instantly completing the quest while also healing for full might be pretty darn crazy.
Daaamn now I'm hyped to see double-quests for all classes... Leave it down below if you come up with something!

I am surprised by the lack of bombs so far, so Zephrys looks viable.

While I get what you're saying about other minions being counterproductive, I disagree that this is the best way to build it. While this setup likely gets Dinomancers out earlier, adding some eggs and activators gives you an explosive early game that can often win or at least give you trading fodder until you get the dinos down. I just can't see your deck holding its own against aggro.
I mostly play Wild, and with the larger card pool it's much easier to construct Highlander decks. So Zephrys the Great was one of my very first crafts. In Standard, the question is really whether you like playing Highlander decks. If yes, Zephrys the Great; if not, Siamat. Both cards are excellent though.
I would replace the Sandbinder with a Defender of Argus (I had it in an earlier build and it was quite good). While drawing Sandbinder after drawing Zephrys is a bit of a bummer in theory, in practice you usually win before that is an issue since you played Zephrys.
Also Flark is quite powerful in this deck, but if you need a replacement you could play a Highmane or some other value card with aggression. Missle Launcher could also be an option since it has magnetic and works well with Venomizer.
I am still toying with the 1 drops in this deck, trying to decide if the early damage is worth the poor draws later in the game.

It’s slightly slower on quest completion but includes warpath, double brawl and double blood razor which are all super handy in dealing with the aggro decks that will outvalue your board. The small taunts are great but too many of them will you screw you over if you don’t draw Into the Fray. Also Upgrade seems like a terrible choice
That's fair. I'm sure there's many situations that Vulpera would be better. In testing Storm Chaser, it has already won me 4 matches that I otherwise would have lost. Vulpera seems to have too many chances of bad Shaman spells for my taste. For example, one time I played her, my options were Ancestral Healing, Beakered Lightning and Totemic Might. I went with the mystery choice hoping for the Bloodlust I needed to win, and got Totemic Surge.
It's definitely a slot in the deck that people can swap for either option depending on their own personal preference. Great deck though! This is the most fun Shaman deck I've played this xpac so far.
A question from a player who would like to get into Wild. Are Subject 9 and Zilliax any good in the format?
As you can imagine from the question, I'm trying to think about my crafts in a long time perspective, so I'd like to hear some experience player's opinion.
It depends in your objectives: Are you trying to climb HIGH ranks? If yes don't waste your dust, look for some super-aggro deck and enjoy the ride.
If not, then you will certainly find many decks they will certainly fit!! This site is full of interesting decks, probably many with these cards you're looking forward to craft!!
This is entirely untrue. My first and only legend was achieved with wild secret hunter which heavily relied on Subject 9. The archetype crushes aggro while being fairly aggressive itself. Even in standard, the card pulls its weight in Reno Hunter.
That was one of card replacement I thought about. Yes, definetly it can bring you the Bloodlust, but I still prefer value&versality of Vulpera Scoundrel

N'Zoth, the Corruptor is a great card with an unique effect. If you play wild, I highly recommend you to craft it.
But you can cut it for a lot of others cards, who fit in this deck too: Doomsayer, Dread Infernal, Riftcleaver, Deathlord, Rotten Applebaum or Antique Healbot for example.
