How do I open the packs for the Fireside Gathering? I preordered both the 50 and the 80 pack bundles for the new expansion. I hosted my own event just now, it lets me into the gathering, I can choose to do the Fireside/Friendly Duels, but no option to open packs.
Can someone explain how the infinite Naturalize combo is supposed to work? As far as I can tell, you need to constantly be copying one Floop, one Naturalize and three Innervates (your max hand size). If you then play more than three Innervates, you'll lose your combo, but you need five Innervates to Naturalize and Floop again. Eventually you'll run out of mana by doing this. I could see maybe 10-14 cards milled if you did it properly (which is still impressive), but not an infinite number.
Sorry I don't have a formal decklist; but basically this deck looks to cheat your Colossus out from Duel, Prismatic Lens, or Decoy; then keep it alive with Redemption. I have no idea if its actually any good (a lot of commenters predicted it might be too slow against aggro outside of that theorycrafting event), but I will say that I have a fair amount of faith in Dekkster's taste.
I've actually posted about this before recently. Yes Blizzard did do a stealth hotfix that wasn't announced during any patch notes. For years Emperor would reduce the cost of minions in the hand and if you played Summoning Portal later on a 3 mana minion (reduced to 2 mana in your hand) would then go from 2 mana to 0 mana. The cards always interacted like this, but in the last few weeks they hotfixed it without any news so that now that same discounted minion will only go down to 1 mana in your hand now.
I know it's missing the new expansion (which will drop tomorrow) but I just played Stonehill Defender (on a new draft done today) and discovered Zilliax. (A boomsday card which by all accounts SHOULDN'T be in the arena rotation at all.)
Yeah, it would have been helpful to actually indicate it was a random drawing. My assumption was that of everyone assuming it was random unless otherwise noted was a bad one to make. Going forward, I'll make sure all giveaways state the way the draw will occur. If that doesn't happen, hold me accountable!
well firstly it is because I don't own him. secondly, the most expensive murloc in here is 3, and there are only 3 of those. so most of the time he will only reduce the cost of your murlocs by 1. and for 4 mana, that seems like kinda a lot.
Let's say I started playing a reborn minion. Then I wanted to resummon it.
If I have one reborn minion that died twice in my graveyard (alone), will there be a chance to resummon a minion without reborn? Or does it completely ignore the token version of a reborn minion?
EDIT: Just wanted to confirm DoubleSummon's words.
If it works like divine shield, the keyword is resected when the minions is resummoned. So the resureccted minion would have reborn again.
Gamepedia states: "Emperor Thaurissan's effect has triggered while holding a 3-Cost minion. Summoning Portal reduces the minion to 1 Mana and Thaurissan's enchantment is applied afterwards, making it cost 0 Mana."
However, I just tested this. I played an Emperor Thaurissan with a 3-Cost minion in hand and played Summoning Portal the turn after. Unlike stated by Gamepedia, the Mana cost was still 1 instead of 0. Did Blizzard patch this? Or what is happening here?
With the coming of Zephrys the Great, I was thinking of playing some variant of Reno Priest in wild. This would involve crafting some key legendaries including Raza the Chained and Kazakus. I understand Razakus Priest isn't what it once was, but could it still be a tier 2/3 deck?
Thanks y'all.
This is wild, everything is playable.
Kazakus is a very good card in the right meta, and all 3 renozakus deck are almost always playable to some degree. Think that if you craft Kazakus and you own Reno Jackson, Kazakus open to you both Renolock and Renomage. Raza is very good either alone, with the death knight or with the new quest (if the new quest will be good, it's a matter we can't know yet).
However, the meta is more diverse then people think, in wild you can play and have fun with almost anything, unless until you are at a very high rank.
My reno priest deck uses dragons to keep pressure on other control decks and keep agro at bay. When surviving long enough you'll burst your opponent down from around 21/23 health (depending on your setup etc) the best thing is that you have a "backup" of burst damage whenever one of your pieces isn't there/triggered.
I have no idea how competitive it currently is. I have reached r5 a couple of months ago but that was before the last expansion if I'm not mistaken.
Just focusing on draw doesn't work anymore I think because you can't do an otk ...
Although summoning Ra with the usage of Conjurer's Calling or any other random-minion generating spells isn't possible, Ra isn't a collectible card, I believe there could be an alternative way in summoning him. People still need to play Mogu Cultists as usual, but tomorrow I would like to test a very specific interaction featuring some dormant creatures. IF my theory is right and the cultist functions just like Reliquary Seeker, dormant creatures would be skipped over and wouldn't hinder Ra's summoning ritual.
That's just a speculation though. I don't want to spread false hype, until I actually test it.
If someone is interested, I made some screenshots in the KoFT pve adventure, which display some of those interactions:

What is a fireside gathering typically like? Is there a person hosting the event? Is it just casual play or is it like a tournament?

Best of luck on aquiering one of the best skin in this game.
Bonus point for not being lock behind a paywall or time constrain.

However, while I like nemsy, I still need to prefer Mecha Jaraxxus (OR MY ARROGANCE WOULD BE MY UNDOING)
Reborn interaction assumption needs confirmation.
