There is one thing this card is missing to become actually really competitive; a Taunt. Make this minion 5/5 with Taunt and that effect, and it could be worth it to build a deck around
Basically a N'Zoth-Effekt in a spell-oriented deck should have also taunt to be competetive? Nonsense. This card will see play, if there are good decks with a lot of spells, maybe even Conjurer-Mage could possible play this, because it has a lot of spells thanks to their Cyclone.
It's not a N'Zoth effect at all; N'Zoth's battlecry entirely revolves around your deck, you know what cards you'll be getting back, and they're all good - some even have taunt.
Unfortunately, our new Pharaoh here doesn't have any of that. He will pull whatever he wants, and as a 10-mana bomb, he may just as well be 10 mana do nothing if he doesn't rng you through the turn. And that's not good.
So no, they're entirely different things. Also, N'Zoth not only has a better battlecry, but also - even though it's irrelevant - better stats.
Something that seems good... For Priest ! It looks pretty good, with tons of flexibility and the reward is a sort of better Justicar Trueheart's upgrade so it doesn't completly "change" the playstyle.
I really hope that something like a sort of control/tempo deck will show up, using strong minion like Injured Blademaster to both put pressure and build up healing for the quest, then starting snowballing with the HP buff during the mid game.
this is a potentially strong card. there aren't a lot of defensive things to do on 4 mana and this is neutral. It either soaks 10 damage while hitting stuff which is amazing for four mana, soaks premium removal like deadly shot, halts development and they pass, or they develop more possibly into a 5 mana aoe. All of these are pretty good. Maybe the fact that it never sticks makes it unplayable, but If you think of it more as a spell and less as a minion, it still seems playable. There hasn't been a card quite like this so we won't be sure until we get our hands on it.
I think maybe control shaman and some priest decks play this. maybe some combo decks that aren't focused on going really fast through the deck. Decks that aren't necessarily fighting for an early board and want to stall to play their powerful late game.
All aggro decks have cheap target removal so Idon’t think this card will be too much of a problem. I can just venomizer it and carry on with my day.
Venomizer is an important card in bomb hunter though. if i'm playing a control role against mech hunter i'm usually not that upset for them to use a venomizer early as one minion removal.
That’s true but I think where this card would really shine is if it’s generated/recruited, etc then the fun truly starts.
[edit] Question - so if I am reading it correctly, the HP gives +3/+6, right? It restores 3 health AND grants a minion +3/+3. That's very strong.
Yeah, pretty much. Long as the minion is damaged it’s up to a 6 health gain on it.
Really the only downside I see to running this card is that it effectively shuts you out of using Auchenai, but that hasn’t really been too popular lately anyways.0
That’s a sick card. It doesn’t ask Priest to do anything different from what the class usually does and gives you a Hero Power that is better than your basic one (3 vs 2) and buffs your stuff too.
The only downside is not being able to Auchenai anymore, but honestly: who cares?
If Priest will see competitive play, this card will be in that/those deck(s). Meta defining
You could fulfil the condition with a single Circle of Healing or divine hymn in theory, especially if you include cards like Injured blademaster, high-health taunts and Wild pyromancer. The quest reward is really strong and flexible.
I could definitely see midrange priest become a real deck thanks to this quest.
Edit: I just realised Hench-Clan Shadequill would also contribute to completing the quest. Seems like a pretty sweet deal to play that card all of a sudden.
Priest normally only ropes and emotes at turn 1, so the quest is no tempo loss for him.
The quest is really easy to fulfill, because you just have to heal (not even have to heal only your minions or your hero) and the reward is pretty good.
I think this quest is the most likely to see play. I am not 100% sure if this quest see play - but if even one quest finds a place in the meta, it will be this for sure.
How is this junk? As a Priest you already restore 15 Health across most games naturally, and the reward is a Hero Power that can essentially give a damaged minion +3/+5 for 2-Mana, or +3/+3 if the minion is at full Health
