I have high expectations about Reno the Relicologist! I think he's been understimated a lot, and will be insane against aggro decks!

Also, I'm Reno's fan since his debut in League of Explorers!

  • Control hunters!? Anti-Combo Hunters!??

You forgot Unseen Saboteur , Mojomaster Zihi , Mindbreaker and all the fun ways to annoy the heck out of your opponent XD .

But yea the main reason for the anticombo idea is the Wild Bloodstinger . Time to get me a [Hearthstone Card (corpse taker) Not Found] then!

  • Saviors of Uldum - 5 Pack Bundles Giveaway

Plague of Death Card Image, it's perfect AoE.

  • Control hunters!? Anti-Combo Hunters!??

Wild Bloodstinger is so slow if compared to other disrupting tools, its cost is far too high and limit what you can do in the rest of your turn by a lot. Not so efficient. Being an Hunter card doesn't mean that it's better than the neutral ones (that also provide a Taunt body in the early game).

  • Very OP deck in the latest tavern brawl

    Quote From Almaniarra

I have played like 20 games against "Mercenaries 14" as "Mercenaries 14".

Hi. Sorry if this comes across badly, but it's a genuine question (I know, never start with an apology...)

Why do you keep playing the brawl, instead of ranked or solo?

  • Saviors of Uldum - 5 Pack Bundles Giveaway

BEEEES!!!  Because I expect that this card is going to be extremely good.  Plus Druid is my favorite class and this card's flavor is perfect for Druid

  • New singleton cards

I mean, none of these cards are good enough to justify running a reno deck for it.

As you said Reno would go into reno mage, as that's already a valid deck, albeit quite weak.

Elise could go into some combo druid deck, but I feel like you won't get to use her much as those decks don't reach fatigue very often, and you definitely don't want to ruin your consistency by running no duplicates.

  • New singleton cards

The only one that could see play is Elise the Enlightened, if a consistent combo of some sort would show up. All the others seems to have weak effects that don't justify a singleton deck.

I have hope that the last highlander card, the neutral one that has to be revealed, will be something more interesting.

  • Saviors of Uldum - 5 Pack Bundles Giveaway

I love that they are adding another Dirty Rat effect to give opportunity to break combo decks, and the art here is top notch. Stats are also pretty sweet. Also, hunter was my first golden hero. Go Rexxar!

  • Control hunters!? Anti-Combo Hunters!??

    Quote From Lightspoon

Anticombo tech cards are almost all neutral: Deathlord, Dirty Rat and Hecklebot can make you disrupt your opponent's combo by pulling on board a key piece, ruining his day.

    He's referring to Wild Bloodstinger...

Flanking Strike is great removal and decent body. Most slower decks run a Corpsetaker package, although hunter doesn't have a great way to give it windfury.

Zilliax is obviously great too. I guess you want Candleshot for early removal and Deathstalker Rexxar for later on of course.

  • Idea to revolutionize Hearthstone

As a player who loves to build decks and loves to see a meta with a great variety of different archtypes, the first month of an new Expansion ist my favorite time of Hearthstone.

As time is passing by the meta settles and  most decks just differ by a minority of cards. Sure sometimes someone finds a new deck and the meta might redifine itself a little, but overall the game loses it's appealing character to adapt and improve your deck.

So my idea to keep Hearthstone fresh:

Add a rotating pool of cards to standard

    • These cards are from the old expansions
    • Everyone  can use them without having them in their collection (like a extra section of basic cards)
    • Maybe 3-4 class cards and 10-20 neutrals?
    • Time per cyle 1 month

This way the game would stay fresh between the release of new expansions, while Blizzard woudn't lose money and standard would stay balanced by their Definition.

What are your thoughts on my Idea?

  • Cards removed from collection

    Hey All!

Recently we got to enjoy The dungeon run-like Tavern Brawl with a golden copy of Recurring Villain, Bronze Herald and Rafaam's Scheme as a reward. After receiving these rewards I looked them up in my collection and was surprised to I see I got two golden copies of each. As I mostly play Arena anyway I dusted the non-golden copies of these cards and kept the golden versions.

Just now I opened a pack with a Rafaam's Scheme in it and was about to dust it, but then I noticed that the second copy of the golden version is gone. Same thing happened with the other two cards. I only own a golden version of these two cards now.

Is it just me hallucinating or did anyone else had a similar experience?

  • New singleton cards

    @griffior

I clearly stated that this topic is to discuss these cards according WILD and WILD only.

In order not to mess opinions with Standard.

  • Legend Wackey Lackey Handlock

This deck is so fun. Thanks for sharing!

I don't normally play warrior, but when I do- I aggro

  • Saviors of Uldum - 5 Pack Bundles Giveaway

I'm trying to go in completely blind, but I am a huge fan of Elise ever since League of Explorers. So I'll just say Elise the Enlightened cause it's the only card I've seen so far.

  • Idea for Genn and Baku Nerfs

    Quote From LyraSilvertongue

It's actually quite relevant. I already mentioned before that more established card games, which HS very much follows the formula of, created formats both for a more static format and one that is quite fluid. If a player has little to no knowledge of the past giants/successes of CCGs, including how they generally have tried to design their various formats, then a newer player would be less likely to understand why HS making its own semi-static format & fluid format would make sense for this game. Hell, even throwing out terms like "eternal format" has the chance to fly completely over the head of some players who only have the knowledge of Hearthstone for a CCG. The relevance is in the breaking down of previous CCG static vs fluid formats if you just cave to every complaint and nerf every complained about card & deck in both standard and wild, because then you no longer have any format in Hearthstone that is static or semi-static, but merely two completely fluid formats with the only difference being the overall card pools.

It's one of the most commonly used fallacies. If you have an argument to make based on your extensive experience with other card games, make the hecking argument instead of boasting. Hearthstone doesn't have any static formats: wild is constantly expanding and standard is constantly changing, not to mention card nerfs and buffs affecting both of them. The analogy to other card games doesn't work either, for one because hearthstone is a digital card game, which means it isn't limited to the tools available to paper card games (we can actually nerf and buff cards), and two because it has it's own fairly unique design philosophy. But again, if you want to make some sort of argument here, you actually have to make it instead of just coyly referring to it.

Is my argument any worse than somebody saying that Genn & Baku needs nerfs because they're stale & 'unbeatable'?

Yes, yes it's much worse, because you aren't really presenting arguments, just fallacies and assertions. It's painfully easy to argue that Genn and Baku being tossed out of standard a year early indicates that 1) a large number of players hate these cards 2) HS devs agree that they are a problem. If that is the case then it's not at all unreasonable to assume that the same holds true for wild.

There has been zero evidence to suggest Blizzard is currently considering nerfing Genn/Baku at the moment so the opposition to my side of things is just as made up. At least on my end I brought up that other cards & entire decks technically create staleness in the format (and those are not nerfed). Genn & Baku are not even tier 0 (which is almost always when Blizzard steps in to make balance passes in wild). There is currently no objective grounds or hints from Blizzard HQ that either card will be nerfed.

Do you have some sort of personal connection with T5? How much of an advance notice did you get about Mind Blast getting HoFed or Aviana getting nerfed? Blizzard has pulled unexpected card changes on us all the time, if anything the way they're keeping players informed every time they choose not to do anything about Big Priest is unusual.

You've established that a forum of public opinion is full of opinions. While I know my take on things is certainly not objective is still does nothing to prove any other opinion here so pointing out that I also have an opinion ultimately accomplishes nothing. I'm still waiting for the logical argument that impossibly proves that most wild players want Genn/Baku nerfed, or that they need to be nerfed.

I'm not the one who tried to ridicule someone's opinion because it was an opinion. You did that. Pointing out that you're standing knee-deep in subjectivity trying to mock others for expressing their views addresses another non-argument you made and (apparently) has caused you to recant this earlier position. So I wouldn't say nothing was accomplished.

If you're waiting for an impossibility then I sure hope you're the patient type. Sigh.

Overflow, I think this game needs more healing effect, something that can change the game around, not just to rush down 30 hp and win.

Hunter's Pack has to be my favorite, I think. The flavor is just too good, I've always had a sweet spot for adventuring/camping gear and multitools and such. And even in game this is great card generation for Hunter. The lack of draw/card generation has always been my least favorite part of the class, so this is awesome! :D

Mogu Cultist Card Image is my favorite new card, it might be a meme but it's the best meme I've seen so far, and I know that when it works you'll feel like a rank one legend even though we are all truely are rank 25 in our hearts
