Guys if you're going to downvote, can you please explain why? Let's have a conversation. Getting zero interaction for why you disagree with me is kind of a downer and honestly makes me not want to post here.
I didn't downvote you, but my guess would be picking one statement out of your post and downvoting because of it. Probably the Secret Hunter part? Because Secret Hunter is actually good (but not played much). Iirc it's pretty good against cyclone mage and should be good against some aggressive decks.
The rest of your post looks accurate to me, so that's my guess.
As i mentioned in the guide, Faceless Manipulator is quite versatile. Its main purpose is to copy your Doomguard, and expand the pool of your Bloodreaver Gul'dan. But sometimes you just want to copy your opponent's Obsidian Statue, Voidlord or just your own Vicious Fledgling to increase the pressure. On the other hand, if you discard it, you won't miss it.
Maybe not tier 1 meta, but shenanigans were definitely had with Sudden Genesis.
Woecleaver set up. Next turn swing and Recruit either Grom or a Charged Devilsaur. Inner Rage, 2x Sudden Genesis for 4 charging 9 attack dinos or 4 12 attack Groms.
Definitely useful, but maybe in a new style like you mentioned.
50 is not that old. They could work well into their 70s . It's more likely they don't like working for a big corporation. When they started blizzard was a small independent company. They have lost alot of freedom they had when they were inde. That is why Ben left so he could have more freedom and go in a direction corporate wouldn't approve of.
Not everyone wants to work into their 70s.... you had a great (almost) 30 year run, and you got a bunch of money in the bank, and maybe you just want some family time and spend the money travelling or something. I'd probably want to do something else too, christ, sooner than that
I didn't own Darius so I didn't run him, and this deck likes curving out so spiteful smiths were pretty solid. Definitely one of the first cards I'd cut though.
Yes, I would genuinely rather have a vanilla minion. Having a diverse minion pool makes Arena interesting. This card will have to be banned from Arena it's so terrible.
While I overall agree with your evaluation of the card, I just wanted to say that most of Secret Hunter's best support (Masked Contender, Subject 9 and most importantly Zul'jin) will rotate with Mech Hunter.
Not only that, since Secret Hunter plays a bit differently from Mech Hunter (it's a deck that can favor late game much better), it ends up being a deck that can exist alongside Mech Hunter. I think Secret Hunter's spot is being contested more by Beast Hunter than Mech Hunter, per se.

Remember, this is "add 3 random cards to your hand." When have those been super strong? You want to draw cards you actually and specifically put into your deck, not random cards.
edit:
Also, keep in mind what other 3-drops this competes with and ask yourself how the hell this would fit into a Hunter deck (not listing the unplayed 3-drops):
First off, you aren't playing this in a deck that plays Master's Call, Nine Lives, Spider Bomb, or Ursatron. It's a Secret Hunter card.
Second, "add 3 random cards to your hand" have seen competitive play as recently as this expansion in Crystal Song Portal. But also Cabalist Tome.
It's worth noting that this card is (A) much cheaper than most "add 3 random cards" (B) unconditional and (C) adding a specific set of different kinds of tools.
I agree with the people saying it looks good but probably isn't as great as it looks. Reminds me of Revenge of the Wild which sees little play. People thought it was bonkers when it was revealed. Still, it looks like it will be a lot of fun and I'm sure we see it in the highlight reels.
I overrated Revenge of the Wild. However, this is a lot more simple to evaluate.
Secret Hunter isn't played because it's much worse than Mech Hunter. Perhaps this card and Secret Hunter will see play when mechs rotate out, but until then, this card is mediocre.
Re: Crystalsong Portal and Cabalist's Tome - CP was played around with in early versions of Token Druid but I haven't seen it played in a long time. CT didn't see play becuase of the value generation - it saw play because it was fuel for the Mage quest and nothing better existed.
I stick to my assessment, this won't see much play beyond the first week or two of hype.
Honestly, I don't think Clutchmother Zavas is a good card, even in this deck. Obviously it has synergy with the discard archetype. It's just too slow imo. But if you want to try it out, cut the Dark Peddler.
About The Soularium: Great synergy, great tool for finding an answer, but I don't think it is essential for the deck. We don't need the draw because of Malchezaar's Imp. Furthermore, the deck's curve is higher than an average aggro build, so it can be a dead card in your hand, but that's just my opinion.
3 mana draw 3 is generally very good, and you're going to get at least 5 mana's worth of stuff from this card (unless they introduce new cheap weapons). Works nicely for even more late game value when you play Zul'jin.
Seems generally worse than Master's Call in any deck that could reasonably use either (particularly in light of the strong new beasts in this set), but it's still probably pretty good in a singleton hunter deck that needs extra value and would otherwise struggle to include a card like Master's Call (because the deck-building constraints are too costly in that style of deck).
A cheap Faceless Manipulator effect can be really dangerous. This is bordering on OP in my opinion. The Leeroy combo is already pretty awesome, but the mayhem will start a lot earlier I am sure. Another way to use this: first copy the Leeroy of the opponent (=5 mana) then play this (=3) and your inner rage and you have a 9-mana turn with a buffed Leeroy.
Or you just played your mountain giant on 4, then you inner rage + Bloodsworn = 2 10-8's and a 3-3 on turn 5. Conjurer's mage cries in the corner. Definitely OP. Nerf incoming.

3 mana - get 3 cards like Master's Call. Super Value. Hope we can get something more for Highlander Hunter!

Dark Peddler is a value-generator and that's the reasoning behind it. Most one cost spell are great and can grant you reach to finish the game (like Soulfire, The Soularium, Power Overwhelming, even Grim Rally). Btw you can get another Malchezaar's Imp, Flame Imp or just a Voidwalker. But if you can't find anything useful, the generated card can be used as a discard target (especially with Reckless Diretroll)

I wonder if the inspiration for this was drawn from the Neverending Story's Sphinx Gate.
New Hunter Spell - Hunter's Pack
This is some sick card generation.

Wow if you get a lackey early this is op.

Was hoping they would make a new Obliterate. This is strong and will be seen a lot I think.

Is this just an expansion of recycled mechanics?
If it didn't work back then I don't see why it would now...but I guess it has some synergies with Rush decks maybe

This will be one of those cards everyone tries to make a combo with. Not strong at all on it's own, makes you get creative.

Looks good, will be a nice addition to thief decks. Glad they are sticking with cars from another class.

Three cards for three mana is a very good deal, even if they're random. Cabalist's Tome was acceptable and almost doubled the cost of this card.
