  • Pogo Hopper Deck Idea/Help

Hey all, I'm in the middle of brainstorming an idea for a new deck, specifically for the Buffs that are dropping today. I love the idea of a Pogo Hopper Deck, but I don't know if there's enough card that synergize with it to build a whole deck around it. I've got the ground work created, but I'm open to any/all suggestions! Thank you!

  • Bomb warrior mirror match

    Quote From zzAMBIENzz

From my experience, Warrior mirror matches (bomb or control) often come down to when each player gets Dr.Boom on board, RNG of his Hero Power, and best use of Drone Delivery.

I have tried using different techniques of when to load my opponent up on bombs, but, to be honest, I'm not 100% sure it matters. Playing that way just gives them more time to build armor, and even if I stick them with every possible bomb, they just eat them.

I have also seen a lot more bomb warriors running Elysiana with the rise of control warrior, and the outcome again seems to fall on Dr. Boom. (and Ely's cards).

Yeah that was the one conclusion I was hoping I wouldn't have to draw from this. Bomb warrior seems like a fun deck to me but to have 14% of my games be decided on nothing more but the amount of times I get delivery drone and how good my Elysiana cards are versus my opponent's doesn't tickle my fancy.

  • I changed my mind on MTG Arena

I have posted in the past that MTG Arena is in a pale comparison to the table top version, which is still true, but I played it much much more and started to like it much more at the moment. Of course when I get home I'm going to go back to playing Hearthstone with the new buffs to cards but I have grown to love both games quite a bit now.

At first I found MTG Arena to be really expensive, and it still is, but the game really awards you much more than Hearthstone for playing more. Hearthstone only gets you 1 quest per day but MTG Arena can give you many rewards in one day. I have grown to really enjoy the constant wave of free packs from just playing the game. However it is extremely needed due to decks needing 4 copies of the same card and having no disenchant system in place.

I do wonder how they will handle the system when there is a new rotation of cards. Hopefully they implement a similar system to allow everyone access to certain cards for free and let people unlock new decks to add card their new collection.  Either way the new player experience on MTG Arena is a great experience and gives you a great number of cards to start you off. Hearthstone in comparison has a horrible new player experience. There is almost no way to actually make any somewhat viable deck with the tools they give you compared to Magic Arena.

After heavy use of both I have to give it to MTG Arena for new players. I've been giving an extremely biased position to Hearthstone and my endless resources and collection I have. I can honestly see Hearthstone going into a really bad place if they don't change the new player experience compared to the competition.

However MTG Arena has a horrible meta at the moment compared to Hearthstone. Hearthstone at the current moment has the best meta compared to Duel links and MTG Arena. Once a rotation happens this might all change.

  • What is wrong with people?

Are we still discussing accepting friend requests from randoms in 2019?

  • What is wrong with people?

Sadly, and looking at the language used and syntax etc, this dude was English. That makes me sad. And embarrassed. But mostly sad...

    Predictions:

    1) Buffs and new card have little effect on the meta after 2 weeks of experimentation.

    2) Snip-Snap best in Warrior.

    3) Most improved deck Holy Wrath paladin. Seen a lot in Grandmasters. Still seen very infrequently on ladder.

It's the Golden Version! It's advertised as the golden version on the official site.

    • If I draw the exact same card I was going to play or an equaly good option, I will always play that card to see if I can tilt my opponent.
    • Same here.

    • I try to discover lethal / hit good rng on missiles etc. even though I still have 100% ensured lethal in hand.
    • I once or twice roped my opponent every single turn of the game in a Tavern Brawl since I didn't have cards to construct a playable deck, but wanted the free pack.
    • I don't care about netdecking - I play decks that I enjoy whether they are T1 aggro face decks or my own trash brews. Sometimes I want to mess around with Espionage or Rafaam and other times I have the same amount of joy from just playing Bomb Warrior or Cyclone mage.

Totally went past me that Blizzard buffs cards haha. Interesting.

  • Post-buff Pogo-Hopper Rogue

Thanks again for your great ideas! I likeEVIL Cable Rat, that would be good for our early game. Serrated Tooth hasn't convinced me yet, but I might give that a try, too.

Pandas are too clunky in my opinion, I rely on [Hearthstone Card (shadow step) Not Found] and shuffle so many bunnies that I inevitably have to draw them. Arsene is right, it's quite an overkill but then I don't want to rot those legendary cards to dust (haha) in my collection. Augmented Elekk would even further push that feeling of overdoing it and I made the experience with bomb warrior that it oftentimes doesn't survive if you play it on curve.

Finally, where are your lists? I really appreciate your feedback, but I'm a complete rogue noob and I would love to see your takes on the archetype!

Really looking forward to this! Murloc Shaman with Overload and Pogo Rogue will be the decks I am trying out. Maybe some deathrattle hunter later.

Also got golden Experimenter in my May reward chest! Thanks for 1600 dust, it will be used to craft some great murlocs!

  • Arena locking before rotation only punishes the arena players

    You can:

    • Play until 2 losses and then stop and get a free ticket
    • Play until you have 12 wins or 3 losses

You have exactly the same choices as the other players. No one is punished in any way.

  • Star Aligner Priest

That looks fun. Any ideas on how to convert to wild?

  • Confess!

    • I netdeck and I dont care for making my own decks. Just dont find it fun. At the start of an expansion I will try things for sure, but other than that idc

    Quote From Imper

    Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone else has a "hearthstone persona" or "gaming persona" that you wouldn't ever tell your Friends and Family About!

no, there is not, I would be okay telling any of my friends or family about any of my bad mannerism in hearthstone.

  • Ending play sessions of HS on a high note

Honestly it was the first time I tried it. Reaching legend will probably be a one-time achievement for me and now I'm just having fun and collecting wins for the golden heros. To answer your question: of course it gets harder the higher you climb, but all in all I had a lot more short sessions than those mentioned 2 hour grinds. On one or two days I settled with one gained win or even just the point where I started. You simply have to accept those days and can compensate on a better day when you netted your two wins easily and have plenty of time and a good feeling. The rule should not becoma a dogma, it's an orientation to help you stay focused while at the same time keeping the game enjoyable. (And it could be any number of wins per day for you, it completely depends of your personal situation)

  • Ending play sessions of HS on a high note

I have never had a problem with tilting. I am not saying that I never tilted, anyone who tells you that is probably lying, but it was never a problem. I don't like to grind, so my play sessions don't really last that long, and that does help against tilting. I also like to listen to music, or reading on hearthpwn/Out of Cards, or both, and that also helps to fight against tilt because your focusing less on how bad your doing in the game.

  • Arena locking before rotation only punishes the arena players

Every time there's a rotation in arena, the arena gets locked down way in advance. Presumably to prevent people from 'abusing' the compensation mechanism.

I have a pretty good run going, currently at 8/1. I want to keep playing, but it might be that afterwards the arena will be locked and I won't get the free ticket/pack. I feel that I am unjustly punished for actually playing arena.

People who play no arena can leave a run open for several days, they don't care. Still they get their free ticket+pack. This compensation mechanism is rigged towards the abusers.

  • Ending play sessions of HS on a high note

I hardly close a day with a loss, even less so with a loss streak.

I'd rather lose more until i win one, than closing the game while already tilted.

That would sound like a declaration of defeat to me, which is unacceptable to my ego.

Instead, winning one last time, even just in Casual, is the minimum sign of hope i need before calling it a day.

  • What is wrong with people?

I don't understand why of all the nasty names you can call people, he settled on 'virgin'.

  • What is wrong with people?

Tbh, "well played" on every win is meaningless. Hence it is potentially tilting.

*Well* played should indeed mean your opponent made remarkable plays. Not just average plays until he lost.

Meaningless politeness can be perceived as rudeness, because the lack of actual meaning is the basis for sarcasm.

Surely his reaction is wrong, no matter what.
