Yesterday I was playing a game and had three Leviathans on board and won. So I didn't think to much into it until today when I was messing around with the deck and saw something odd. The deck only has two Leviathans and no way to get a third. So how exactly did I pull into a third Leviathan? O_o

I really like the monkey idol. It goes with the idea I had some time ago to add a bit more personal flavor into Freljord. One of the Freljord cards mentions making an enemy into a fine totem. So I was thinking of having a few totem like cards for Freljord that acts like the monkey idol. They can't attack or block but take damage every turn but provide some kind of area of effect buff for you or your unites.

Like Totem of Spirit: As long as this totem is in play your Nexus can't be targeted by spells or abilities. Totem of Might: As long as this totem is in play your unites have Overwhelm. Totem of Endurance. As long as this totem is in play your Nexus has Tough.

Stuff like that and since they take up a unite slot and can't attack or block it's probably best to limit your deck to having only one totem. The one that best fits what your deck is trying to do.

The times they are a changing boys.

Assumptions made by streamers and pro players prior to the release of the patch have been proven false.

The sooner you accept this, the better you will do on ranked ladder.

So which regions were the big winners.

Tier 1 - Frejord

 Yup from meme to dream, slow rolling is how the game is played now and this region is the best at that style of play

It turns out that early game pressure doesn't exist to keep this faction in check anymore

You can pair it with Noxious, or Shadow or Ionia or Bilge

It honestly doesn't really matter, you can even go pure allegiance

Expect to see an obnoxious amount of Sejuani over the next month

Tier 2 - Bilgewater

This faction is just a card advantage control machine and in a meta where healing doesn't matter this is very very strong

You can run any champions that generate additional value but TF is the best at this.

What else is there to say plunder effects are very good right now

Tier 3 - Shadow Isles

Healing's decreased importance see's Shadow drop down a bit but the sheer flexibility of the faction means it's still very strong.

Run keg control, run ephemerals for fun, probably not spiders anymore, but sea monsters and they who endure are fine.

Tier 4 - Ionia

Stun effects, will of ionia, counter spells these things are naturally good in a slower meta

But we can't pretend that this faction wasn't nerfed decently hard

Ironically, enlightened decks with Fejord are okay now, again no early game pressure

Stun decks with mr samurai were designed to deal with aggro and midrange and they don't exist anymore

Tier 5 - P And Z

The burn nerfs hit harder than anyone else predicted and Temo is not a good sub for rearguard

He is too R And G and he doesn't interact well with transfusion

Ezreal is fine, but P and Z struggles to deal with huge creatures, 3 thermos will only get you so far

Heim has similar issues where his turrets don't deal with overwhelm

Tier 6 - Noxious

The aggro noxious identity isn't really a thing now, but the Vlad list is so strong that it almost makes up for it

Swain is a little worse by proxy, in a game where you can't bring the nexus health down to 0 by turn 6

Tier 7 - Demacia

Oh how the mighty have fallen bannerman are nowhere to be seen, or missfortunes scouts, or Fiora thanks to the stand alone nerf

That really just leaves Lux, who again 4 damage removal  is less valuable when every list has unlimited card advantage and huge dudes

I look forward to all of the angry trolls in the comments and the silent confirmation that this list is accurate in the next two weeks.

I'm not a fan at all of stealing, I hated it in hearthstone. But it is already in game so I have to accept it. BUT what is a huge problem that we don't know what card was stolen. I just lost a game cause guy stole 2 will of ionias and put karma then radiant in my hand. But if u can see what cards where stolen u can play around. But like that it's just sucks and feels very unfair. So I suggest that change. And also the interface should show us which spells where made by Karma so u can know, that it's your opponent s original deny or will, or its a spell made by Karma.

Interface has to improve, pilfered goods MUST CHANGE!

 Anyway, welcome to the first custom Legends of Runeterra Expansion! Like on here and Reddit. Me, with help from KANSAS, are leading the charge to make more custom LoR cards on this site. If you want to help more with this project, like making a region's cards or just singles, PM me! Anyone is welcome.  No new regions or keywords this time,  just the cards. There are custom champions here to showcase the sins, not any in LoL. Feedback is very much appreciated. It is my first time and I want to improve it.

The story here is Ezreal, the master of activating traps due to relics. accidently released the 7 mortal sins onto Runeterra.  Well, 5 at least. They now have rooted themselves to a region that fits them. They corrupt them with their evil. They first take human-like garbs to best fit it, but as they get more powerful, they reveal their true forms. Hope you enjoy this, it is been fun to make.

Freljord is my fav. Not because I win with it most of the time. I actually don't. I just like the cards interactions and their lore. I like the whole bit with one person (Ashe) trying to bring about peace and another (Sejoani) who is hard headed and stuck in the old ways who thinks peace breeds weakness and war makes them strong. Which to be fair, she's not wrong, but war does more harm than good in the long run and Ashe sees this where she doesn't.

Until his release, the card was debated between skepticals and those who saw potential in this card.

Turns out the card's main weakness is how early you can draw and play it: you need to play the upgraded HP at least a few times, in order to get value from the card.

Which is a bummer, comparing it to the other Highlander cards.

So why not buffing the guy?

A) There are many ways, but an easy one to me is just giving the Aldor Attendant treatment and buff Sir Finley of the Sands to a 1/3 for (1). This would give two benefits:

1. It could be tutored much more easily: Call to Adventure, Crystology.
2. It could curve out much better, with an upgraded HP slapped directly on t2.
3. It would still be bound to card draw RNG AND Discover RNG (so you can never deckbuild with soecific HP synergies).

B) Another option would be to turn his effect into a Start of the Game. It would reduce the adaptability of the choice, since you still don't know your opponent besides their class, but I think it would still be a great improvement, and smart players would still be able to predict correctly the best choice, or at least the beneficial jack-of-all-trades choice. This would remove the card draw RNG, leaving the Discover RNG only.

Given the Discover nature of the card (3 random options of 10) I am fairly sure there is hardly any way to make the card suddenly broken (you can never build the deck around specific HP anyway), so any buff would be pretty safe, and it would give Highlander Paladin a chance to shine a bit more, at least as an offmeta deck, and we all know Highlander is always a favored archetype for many, so making it better viable on more classes would be a really smart move.

Finally, The fact Paladin may benefit more from other cards has nothing to do with buffing Finley. It's a false conflict (and not an argument here).

I finally hit legend! I've been playing mostly Standard since 2017, so it's kind of funny that I reached Wild legend first lol. 

It wasn't that stressful of a climb, with the only obstacles being the three straight Secret Mages I lost to whenever I was just one win away (I swear, the Mage class exists just to make my life miserable lol). I was piloting Odd Demon Hunter, an absolutely overpowered deck that I feel a little guilty for reaching legend with it. But hey, legend is legend!

Time to kick back and enjoy being a legend player for one day, since it's gonna be a new season tomorrow. Just wanted to share, and good luck to everyone else on their climb!

If you got to masters by using some meta net deck that someone else made did you actually achieve anything? Be honest. Can you honestly refer to yourself as a Master player?

I have been playing this game since September 2014 but I have never reached legend until this month. I am so grateful for this website, hsreplay, and tempostorm. I love the community here. I enjoy the info on hsreplay, and the free information on top decks for Wild as provided by tempostorm. I wanted to share my achievement with you guys.

every card game has an arena game type that people with good skills and want to get all cards witchout spending thousands of dollars can play to grind there way up there. in most of these games you can get the currency that you spent on the arena run and start profiting is after about 65% of the run being won. in legends of runeterra you only get back the currency that you spent after fully winning the expedition!!!! and you dont get a sinhle extra green essense you litterly end up with 2000. and if you finiah with 6 oit of 7 wins you only get 1000 essense wich means you lose half of it. that it self ia extremly greedy since it will be hard to grind the expedition. but we can argue that it is much easier to get a perfect run in runeterra than other card games. but then you have a LIMITED AMOUNT OF EXPEDITIONS PER WEEK. that is the most greedy and bullshitty thing i have ever seen in a cardgame. seriously riot proved it self more greedy that blizzard with that cheap move. they blocked all our ways of grinding up the full collection of cards and is forcing us to either grind for many weeks or to pay alot of money to get the cards. honestly this is a game breaking experiense for me and i dont think i will take this game seriously anymore since it is such a money trap.

I wanted to know if this was happening to anyone else. I have had a couple games where the game had decided that I don’t want to defend, at key moments where defense is a necessity. It’s led to several losses, even in ranked. It’s not that the game times out. It just skips my defense step entirely. Again, I just wanted to know if this is happening to anyone else and if they are looking into it.

Do something about Unyielding Spirit already! That card is BS and people are finding even more BS ways to use it.

There has always been pros and cons of live card balancing in games when compared to the hands off approach of mtg.

For one, you can unintentionally ruin what has made you game fun by listening to your fans, Gwent being a great example with it's gold update.

Similarly, with it's limited card pool and emphasis on champions,  Legends of Runterra has to be cautious not to make too many archetypes unplayable.

So what changes did we see and what are the meta implications...

1. Stand alone no longer works with Zed, this list want never top tier so why did Riot want to kill this champion

2. Elise is worse because she can't flood the board with brood swarm - again not on the tier list so this nerf doesn't make sense

3. Legion rearguard was an aggro card not a burn card per say, so now Darius and Katarina are worse

4. Badger bear was showing up in control decks, but they nerfed the damage not the toughness, so they made it worse at aggro but still good in control

5. Unyielding spirit still exists so Fiora is fine, even though she was the nerf target

6. Boomcrew nerf was needed and well implemented

7. Grizzles ranger got double nerfed and is now unplayable

Unintended meta consequences

control variants are the only archetypes worth playing mid range and aggro are dead

So no bannerman, no noxious anything that isn't swain

Region diversity will appear healthy, but deck archetypes will all be very slow

Fun for some, absolutely awful for the majority of players 2/3

I have some ideas for what rule sets Riot could implement for Gauntlets and Labs, let me know what you think of them!

1. A max of 3 Regions

2. A max of 6 unique champions (so you could have up to 18 total champions in a deck)

3. At the start of each round, players who had the attack token last round and didn't use it create a Fleeting Relentless Pursuit in hand 

4. 25 Nexus Health 

5. Players start with 1 Spell Mana and a 0/1 in play

6. The Power and Health of all units is swapped

7. The cost of units can be payed for with up to 1 Spell Mana. 

These were just some off the top of my head, but I think they help show how amazing Labs and Gauntlets could be for Runeterra! 

Question is in the title: have you purchased a cosmetic, and/or do you plan to buy one? Are there any particular cosmetics you want to see in the game? I'm just curious if anyone has bothered; I have yet to see something new in my Runeterra games.

I want to buy a board or two, but I haven't done it yet. Looking up the music on YouTube has led me to believe I will eventually buy the Iceborn Peak board, and possibly the Slaughter Docks board as well. As for everything else:

• I don't see the value in the guardians, but if they ever hand one out I'll take a Silverwing, thank you.
• My favorite card backs currently are the ones you earn (namely Freljord, Bilgewater, and Demacia).
• I don't need new emotes because I'm fine with just the Hello-Braum and the GG-Shen.

My hope/dream is that eventually we'll see a cool Leona vs Diana board when Mt. Targon comes out, and then I'll just use that one forever. I would also insta-buy a Lissandra board, but that would probably overlap too much with Iceborn Peak.

I would like better Sound cues's for when my Time is about to Run Out it's fairly easy to think about whom i use witch spell tu use on or who i use to defend and lose sight of the timer

I have been a proud member since the beggining  supporting via Patreon for a while. I noticed that the listing of subscription months is missing some of the early months in my profile.

My first concern is that OoC got the money from patreon. (I have the receipts if needed).

Second, not sure if it matters for things like badges, points, etc...

We are not talking a lot of money here, but I just want to make sure.

So as usual (As of now) Blizzard will probably replace Leeroy Jenkins, Acolyte of Pain, Mind Control Tech, Spellbreaker and Mountain Giant with other cards whenever they will be bad (like last time) or decent.. we don't know they made better balance decisions lately so maybe they will make those cards more niche.

Well the main point of this thread is some kind of advice: if you are a long time player and your classic collection is full/almost full, don't open classic packs! , I realize it only 3 weeks ago.. sadly..

Since if you wait until those replacements are introduced, you will get new cards rather than duplicates thanks to the new duplicate rule. also there should be some DH cards this year that will go to the classic set probably at the end of the year so if you have DH cards you didn't get this year and they go to classic you will get them on those unopened packs!

If your classic collection is quite small this probably doesn't apply to you but, with the new rule I guess most players can get a full set of classic common/rares within 3 months or so of playing. so you also might want to wait until you open more of those classic packs you get via quests or tavern brawls.

I don't think there are any top tier decks that rely heavily on the klepto cards (like Pilfered Goods, but playing against those cards is so goddamn frustrating.

Assuming you can activate the plunder effects with reasonable consistency, they're highly efficient card draw (in game where most card draw from your own deck is fairly inefficient) and they can significantly disrupt your opponent. It just seems like a very unfun design paradigm.

Any idea how to add the guy u are playing with? i cant figure out the region they belong to. And i need to insult the bitches using gay decks. Thanks
