Just thinking, apropos-of-nothing, of specific health break-points to think about in LoR. Meta's still in flux, of course, but there are enough trends emerging that we can think of:
1 - Vile Feast
2 - Mystic Shot, Fleetfeather Tracker, Laurent Protege
3 - Black Spear, Grasp, Fiora
[3] - Culling Strike; Power not health
4+ - Ehhh...?
8 - Major Ledros breakpoint - >8 health means four plays required to kill you, guaranteeing you two attack rounds
Obviously I'm not being in any way comprehensive here, and am mostly trying to stick to the main meta points (e.g. Get Excited isn't on there because Jinx is basically absent from the meta so far)... but I'm still confident I'm missing stuff. Thoughts?

Wtf is up with that? It's totally not worth.
Takes 20-30 games to generate as much exp as a single daily quest?!?!

HUGE patch notes today; so I didn't even notice this little nugget until I was rereading for the 2nd time:
Additionally, we plan to approach balance with a seasonal mindset, adjusting our methods as the meta goes through different stages between sets of new cards. Once we’re out of beta and get into our regular cadence of releasing new sets, it should look something like this:
- New set of cards released.
- First balance patch: mostly “medium”-sized number changes based on our early sense of outliers.
- Second balance patch: Significant updates to underutilized cards, and the main patch where you can expect any major champion updates.
- Third balance patch: Limited number changes to stabilize any meta issues.
- Next set of cards released.
Since they've previously announced that they want to do balance patches exactly every 4th Tuesday, I believe we can make some reasonable inferences:
Additionally, if we look a few patch notes prior to when they announced ranked mode, we can see they put that in context of "Seasons" too, so we can also hypothesize:
And finally, if you REALLY want to go out on limb, you could look at how they've been describing this open beta as a "Beta Season" and wildly speculate:
Obviously I've made a lot of assumptions in all of these points and even if I'm right that this is their unannounced plan of record its still subject to change (e.g., they find some critical bug they need to solve before releasing, or they get delayed releasing the mobile version to iTunes and decide its worth it to postpone just to have a consolidated launch, or they decide they want more overlap between their season schedule and HS's expansion schedule). Regardless, its got me very excited so I thought I'd share.

We have prepared our changes to the current reward system and invite you to become participants in our research. You will have the opportunity to evaluate the effectiveness of our idea. Perhaps together we can change the economy of the game, or vice versa, the results of our experiment could confirm the effectiveness of the current monetization system.
VIDEO VERSION
Hearthstone is an important source of income for Blizzard. We respect that. But on the other hand, a crisis has ripened in the economy of the game. According to the results of our survey, only 2 percent of players are completely satisfied with the game economy and don't want any changes. More than half of players are convinced that change is necessary.

Our main goal is to try to offer a system that will not only allow Blizzard to maintain a high profit, but possibly even increase it, while also making the game economy more loyal to players. This would expand the audience of the game and allow completing a collection of cards for free. Subsequently, developers will gain the respect that they deserve.
As you know, we constantly monitor the number of rewards players recieve. Under the current economy during the 4 months between expansions, players have had the opportunity to receive rewards equivalent to approximately 110 packs (sometimes this amount is more, sometimes less). We propose to increase the number of free resources by almost two times, to 200 packs (as you know, you need to purchase approximately 250 packs to get the entire card collection). In addition, we propose introducing a generous reward for a complete collection.
CHANGES
Let's start with the our changes to the quest system. A daily quest should most often award you a pack from the current expansion.Sometimes you will be able to get a classic pack or 80 gold as a reward for completing a quest with a friend. If you refresh the quest you are guaranteed to receive a random quest for 60 gold, or in very rare cases, 100 gold. Thus, you can always choose between a current pack and a smaller amount of gold.

We also want to increase rewards for ranked play. If you manage to reach the tenth rank, you will receive an additional 3 packs. For the fifth rank you will receive 5 packs. If you have reached the legend rank you will receive 10 packs.

In addition, we propose to create weekly special quests with tasks that you can perform in solo mode. As a reward, you will also receive the current card pack. Events should occur every month, as a reward you will receive packs from past expansions and cards. Within 4 months, the reward will be equivalent to 40 old packs.

Thus, you will receive a reward that is equivalent to a minimum of 200 packs if you took part in all events, made 6 victories per day and reached rank 5 each month for 4 months. Most players spend much less time in the game.In this case, if you achieve 3 wins per day and also reach rank 10, your reward will be equivalent to 180 packs. And finally, if you managed to achieve the legend rank every month and won 9 times a day, you will earn at least 230 packs.

In other words, in the long run, players will have all the cards from past sets, regardless of whether they spent money or not. Creating a deck will be easier, and players will be able to use more classes and strategies. Moreover, players will not have to get rid of cards after rotation, since they will have enough resources. In turn, this will allow players to play in wild mode.
Another very important innovation is a special award for the full collection of cards for every new expansion. We offer a very valuable reward. First of all, you will get a golden pack. Secondly, you will receive a special set of golden cards from the current expansion. Let's look at this with the example of Descent of Dragons.

You will get 5 golden legendary Galakrond cards as well as 2 golden copies of Devoted Maniac and Shield of Galakrond. These will be promotional cards that you cannot disenchant. If you already had these golden copies, they will be automatically disenchanted from your collection for the full cost of crafting. And the main reward. A special new golden legendary card that will not affect the balance of the game, but will give a lot of fun to the players. It could be a card that looks like Whizbang the Wonderful or Elite Tauren Chieftain. Maybe it could be a card that will make your deck into random legendary cards. Why not? We are convinced that the developers and the community have a lot of interesting ideas.
The main source of income for Blizzard is still pre-orders. We suggest keeping the current pricing system for the bundles that were introduced in Descent of Dragons. 60 packs and a golden legendary card for $ 50; and 100 packs and a golden legendary card for $ 80. But in addition, we decided to add a new bundle. We called it the "Thank You" Bundle. In other words, by making this purchase you say thanks to the developers. The money received for the purchase will be spent on improving the game, experimenting with modes and new features. For just $ 10 you get 20 packs. This is a great opportunity for Free-2-play players to support developers.

Unfortunately, pre-orders are still too expensive. We tried to find a way to reduce the cost of packs, but this, in turn, inevitably entails a significant reduction in company revenue. Blizzard has created an ingenious monetization system that allows them to get the maximum possible profit. The company will definitely not give up on this approach.
DISADVANTAGE
Here are a few words about the main disadvantage of this system. About a third of players use a rational strategy for collecting resources. They collect gold for 3 to 4 months. This approach allows you to significantly save money and get the maximum possible number of new packs for free on the release day of a new expansion.
The main source of gold is daily quests. In our system, quests will almost always offer you a pack of cards as a reward. You can always update your daily quest
and choose gold instead of the pack, but it will not be as profitable. Thus, collecting resources over the course of 4 months will be a meaningless exercise, since all players are guaranteed to receive much more cards after the expansion release. They will only need to wait a bit.
We understand that our concept is not perfect, but at the same time, we believe, it solves many problems.
THE MAIN QUESTION
Dear friends, here is the main question. If this monetization system appears in Hearthstone, will you have a desire to regularly pre-order? And how much money will you be willing to spend? Are you ready to thank the developers for their hard work and generosity? Please, think carefully and be honest with everything.

Aggro Hunter is a decent budget deck, but I have some questions about some inclusions.
Many versions run Spellzerker, and maybe I'm using this card wrong, but it seems pretty pointless to me. Wouldn't Knife Juggler be a better card? It has synergy with the Leper Gnomes from the sidequest, Unleash the Hounds and Snake Trap.
Is Wolfrider ever worth it over Animal Companion? Sure overall the later is better, but it's a 1 in 3 to get the one you want (on average). And SMOrc'ing for 3 seems more consistent, albeit sometimes weaker.
Timber Wolf seems a bit weak to run 2 copies off. It's fine with Unleash and to activate Kill Command but pretty weak without that. Could Secretkeeper be a viable option, and running 6 secrets (2x Explosive Trap, 2x Snake Trap, 2x Freezing Trap)? This could even make Sunreaver Spy viable for the 2-mana spot.
Why do some people run Bomb Toss? You can't activate the bombs, unless the opponents uses and Aoe.

So I really wanted to play this game, but since I am unfortunately an owner of a Mac I had to install Windows through Boot Camp. Sometimes while I'm playing the game, the display will just freeze and I have to restart. So far I have never met anyone else who plays through Boot Camp and the support team said they couldn't help me either. So if anyone knows somethings I can try to fix this problem I'd appreciate it. Thanks in advanced.

So I was playing a Braum deck against a SI/Noxus aggro spiders and falling behind fast. They played a Frenzied Skitterer, I figure: OK, sure they got buffed but my Braum went from 0/5 to 0/5 so no big deal. I want to take some power off the board so on my turn I challenge the weakest spider, a 3/1, and I play Radiant Strike--except Braum only becomes a 0/6, so the spider lives. :-( Apparently, even though it said 0 attack, it appreciated that it should have been at -1 from the Skitterer so the attack portion of my buff cancelled out. Quickly got overrun by fearsomes a few rounds later.

Light rant incoming.
The first week of the open beta, I barely had anything so I threw together my versions of the 3 starter decks (including exchanging Ionia/Zed for Noxus/Darius in the Jinx deck). Lots of mismatched odds & ends that just happen to be around the right mana cost/function, right? Ugly, but they win games--let's say 50-50. And I'm not really one for fiddling with decks, so I just leave them. So this week, I decide after my vault I'm going to go and revisit them and finally spend a few wildcards crafting a few essentials for my favorite, the Jinx deck. I take out Darius and some of the 3-cost stuff and focus on discard-synergy, nexus damage, and cards that are easier to cycle for rockets--we can debate whether that's a good deck building strategy, but at least its *a* strategy, right? And I go something like 1:5 that night. So I figure maybe I'm just off or maybe its some unfavorable matchups; I try again this evening and again go like 0:3. Then I swap back to my oddball Jinx deck and its like 2:1, and then I go to my oddball Braum/Garen deck and it goes like 2:1.
It's like the harder I try in building the deck, the worse my games go. My rationale brain realizes the aforementioned is very poor sample size and that there was an inherent trade-off building so heavily around Jinx--all the same, though, my emotional brain is saying that to just forgot about deck building and keep playing the crappy oddball decks until they break entirely. :-P

Scuttlegeist
It sure looks like one. It even synergizes with Spider synergy (chump tokens that die so you can play a 5/5 on the cheap). So why isn't it? Is it because it's a Ghost Spider? I know this sounds like another Ghostly Charger debate but this one actually seems significant, I can understand if it's just a gameplay balance thing because this card would actually be significantly better as a Spider (whereas for Ghostly Charger, it really doesn't matter either way, Beast Tag does nothing for Paladin) but in that case, couldn't they just replace the art with something blatantly less spidery? It just seems to cause a lot of confusion.

Do you think it's viable in the higher ranks, I'm trying to reach rank 5.

Just considering the cards from this past year getting unnerfed I again thought about why T5 hasn't unnerfed this deck in today's HS.
There are and have been more consistent and easier OTK setups that have stuck around and big taunts (warlock) exist in today's HS when they didn't then, as well as Reno to go with the Ice Blocks in mage. Not to mention the much higher prevalence of hyper aggressive decks and massive armor gains that didn't exist in the same form of the Grim Patron meta.
Simply put, the deck would not perform the same as it did years ago so why keep the deck broken?

This has been in my mind lately. And I hope there are no similar thread like this. So here goes.
Vanilla body means, it's a minion with no effects written on the card.
What would be the premium vanilla stats of a 1 mana (Class & Neutral Cards) would be? 2 mana? 3 mana? etc.
We did have an example like Boulderfist Ogre being a 6 mana having 6/7 body. that means (n/n)+1 random stat would be the formula, but that does not work with Dire Mole being 1 mana having 1/3 body. this means (n/n)+2 random stats. and this is just neutral cards.
If class cards, we have an example of Enchanted Raven being 1 mana having 2/2 body that the formula above is correct, but this means, Neutral and Class cards is the same regarding 1 mana cost. Tag doesn't matter too, since Dire Mole is beast too.
or Northshire Cleric with 1/1/3 plus an effect would make a 1/2/3 or 1/1/4 vanilla class cards.
Why do I create this thread, well, I need to analyze what makes Zilliax a 5 mana, had so much effects with a 3/2 body. Being a neutral card is too much I think.
Discuss away..

Simply put. I have a quest today to play 3 Champions from Demacia or Noxus. I played 3 games vs AI and played a total of 5 champions from said regions. It still only said 1/3. So I switched to a PvP game and played another 1 or 2 champions, only for it to STILL say 1/3.
I tried logging out and then back in. Still the same. I don't want to reroll it because it's an easy quest. This is frustrating as it seems to happen to me quite often.
Thoughts? Ideas to remedy this?

I think im a little upset right now...
i played a game of expidition with a quite good Garen Darius Elite Deck on round 5
my Opponent basicly crafted a probably very solid Aniva Ashe frostburn deck
the point where it went strange was the following
he has a lvld Anivia on his side
I have a 6/3 (after he took 2 dmg) fearsome guy and a full board on my attack round he on 4 life me on 5
i attack imedeatly so he cant play anything.
so far so good he blocks with anivia the 6/3 and i should have done MORE then enough dmg to kill him trice with my other minions.
What happens? Anivia dies, all of my other minions are frostburned wihtout him playing a card (i looked in the list... nothign happend, he didnt play a spell at all) and he is able to play a few minions and kill me the next round
pls party people what happend here?

Hi guys (and girls)
Being a F2P player, it is sometime takes a desperate measure to get a free packs, by any means necessary (but not with shady activity).
I had, login from Samsung Mobile, to Apple IPhone, and Tablet, just to get those nifty free packs.
And I've just realized that there is one more way to get more free packs, recruit a player (up to four free packs). But the cons is, not just any recruit can do. It has to be lower than 20 in total level (not Ranks Level).
To anyone who kind enough to be my recruit, pass those lv.20, and let me have those precious packs, I would be so grateful.
In addition, you get 1 free pack (if you haven't got to lv.20). So it's a win-win.
So, here's my link.

Thanks in advance.
