Hello everyone, I'm back again with another concept. This one will not be as long as all of my other ones and should make for a quick read.
This one is pretty straight forward and again, if there is anything that you'd like to add or are confused about, please don't hesitate to leave a comment.

If you've played physical Magic: The Gathering, then you probably know exactly where I'm going with this.
Magic: The Gathering has something that fans like to call "Full art cards".
And I thought why not try not to find a way to introduce it into hearthstone?

Please forgive the fact that the cards don't have an Attack or Health indicator, Hearthcards.net can only do so much.

So now we must ask the question, how are these obtainable?

I suggest for free, but not without effort!
But before we get into how we obtain these, let me just clear a few things up real quick.

In the collection manager these cards will stand out on their own after their "Vanilla" copies.
These are intended to be a long term investment, similar to the 500 and 1000 win portraits.
Each Full Art card will have it's own unique or semi-unique requirement in order to obtain it.

These cannot be opened in packs nor can they be crafted or disenchanted, please ignore said buttons pictured.

In order to obtain these cards you must complete the card's requirement
As above states, draw 1000 cards with Acolyte of Pain's ability and you will obtain both copies of the full art version.
Some requirements SHOULD be harder than others.
There will also be Golden versions that require more of the same requirement.

Not every card deserves a full art version, I think doing it for more notable cards would be best.
Here's a few examples of some Full Art Cards.

Embiggen: Play 1000 minions affected by this spell.
Ysera Unleashed: Draw 1000 Dragons Portals.

Archmage Antonidas: Cast 1000 Fireballs created by this minion.
Khadgar: Summon 1000 extra copies of minions with this minion's ability.

Shirvalla, the Tiger: Play this minion for 0 mana 1000 times.

Activate the Obelisk: Win 500 games after you've completed this quest.
Northshire Cleric; Draw 500 cards with this minion's ability.

Edwin VanCleef: Play this minion with it's combo activated 1000 times.
Pogo-Hopper: Trigger this minion’s battlecry enough to obtain +1000/+1000 in total.

Hagatha the Witch: Play 1000 cards generated from this card's Hero Power.

Armorsmith: Gain 1000 armor from this minion's ability.
Clockwork Goblin: Force your opponent to draw 500 bombs from this minion's Battlecry.
Dr. Boom, Mad Genius: Use this cards hero power 1000 times.

Hellfire: Deal 1000 damage with this spell.
Twisting Nether: Destroy 1000 minions with this spell.

Hakkar, the Soulflayer: Force your opponent to draw 1000 Corrupted Bloods.
Genn Greymane: Win 1000 games with this minions ability active.
Sylvanas Windrunner: Steal 1000 enemy minions with this minion's Deathrattle.

Some of those numbers seem high and I'm sure some of them are and maybe some of them aren't high enough.
The point was to illustrate what kind of requirements cards could have.

This is what it would look like with these cards in game.
You've played them enough to know what they do so they will be textless in hand.
When on the battlefield, your opponent will see the "Vanilla" version of it to prevent confusion.

You need to cut the bullshit out with the shuffler algorithm.  Every single card game is dogshit now because you guys all rig the shuffler algorithm and think you're doing a good thing by auto organizing starting hand as well.  If you were to make a Runeterra trading card game, there isnt going to be someone organizing your hand and rigging the shuffler algorithm for you.  If you dont want your card game to be on the level of dogshit that MTG Arena and Hearthstone have fallen to, avoid the special ed approach. 

I just lost a match after my Yasuo didn't level up when I expected him to. I've always been under the impression that you can mix and match stuns and recalls to achieve his level-up requirement (e.g. recall 3 allies and stun 2 enemies).

However, this match points to the contrary. My deck had a lot of recalls and a few stuns. When my opponent attacked, my Yasuo was at 4/5. I set him to block and then queued the "Stun an attacking unit" spell. However, when battle commenced, my stun spell resolved properly (and Yasuo struck the enemy as he should), but Yasuo didn't level up (and consequently died). The next round, I played another recall effect, and suddenly Yasuo jumped to 5/5 (as I could tell by clicking on my deck).

So I'm wondering: Is it intentional that you have to apply either 5 recalls or 5 stuns? Or was my stun spell not being counted a bug that I should report?

In my opinion yes if I were in charge I would make every disenchant cost equal to its crafting cost becase 400 dust for a legendary when it costs 1600 dust to craft ? No Thanks! 

it should be that if you disenchant a legendary you can craft a legendary (ect. ect.)

This weekend starts a new Gauntlet event for TESL.

We’re shaking the Field Lane up once again in The Elder Scrolls: Legends’ latest event! Get ready for the Mage Tower Gauntlet!

Mage Tower Gauntlet: February 21 – February 24

For this event, the standard Field Lane has been transformed into the Mage Tower Lane! Whenever you play an action, a random creature of the same cost will be summoned into the Mage Tower Lane. What sort of allies will you summon? Only one way to find out!

Each time players complete a run of this weekend’s event, they will also receive a premium alternate copy of Imperial Reinforcements!

Each run through the Mage Tower Gauntlet costs three Event Tickets or 500 Gold for each run, up to three maximum runs allowed. Players will also rank up on the leaderboards with each run - if you wind up a top-ranking player, you could receive bonus rewards!

The Mage Tower Gauntlet begins Friday, February 21 at 12pm ET and closes at 12pm ET on Monday, February 24. Events in The Elder Scrolls: Legends change regularly, so check in often to see what new challenges await!

 i almost reaching 10 tousand shards sould i spend some to not hit the cap? how much is the cap anyway? thanks in advance.

Inspired by Riot's stated philosophy that every single card should have a home, I thought it might be fun and useful to look at some of the cards we rarely see in the meta, and maybe help them find their way.

Chosen completely arbitrarily, my first pick is Emerald Awakener!

I don't believe I have seen this one at all in constructed, apart from one intrepid deckbuilder who seemed to be leaning heavily into heals. (Turns out he didn't have enough offense to actually be any kind of threat.) In Expeditions, I've never selected it, and it always seems a little sad when my opponent has to play it.

A 3-mana 2/2 with Lifesteal isn't terrible, but it's definitely not good. A 3-mana 6/6 with Lifesteal is decent, but it doesn't seem like the kind of play you want to be making in the late game -- unless you can drop it with a few other big units for a massive push.

Would you say this is meant for a Karma deck? That would explain its scarcity, as we seldom see Karma, either. Would one or both of these cards need a buff before that archetype is viable? Is there some other Ionia control deck that maintains a big hand size where this would be a good fit?

If you've experimented with this card, please describe the deck(s) you used it in and how things turned out.

i know that might sound weird to many of you but since the nerfs to elusives and SI in general we got to a point where aggro decks hardly ever win a game against Ezreal/heimerdinger control decks that are using frostbite.

Right now the whole ladder that i experience consists of ezreal decks and its not likely to change anytime soon. 

The fact that frostbite makes it way too easy to shut down the board while a transformed ezreal is basically a game over if you aren't out of cards -what is not likely at all- breaks the philosophy of legends of runeterra that the board matters and that creatures are the way to go to win. 

What can we do to fix that problem? I think the best way is to change the frostbite mechanic.

My version would be: frostbitten units deal their damage after the enemies fighting with them ( basically give them slow attack) and lose elusive until the end of the turn instead of reducing the current attack to 0. 

It might not look like a big deal but it forces frostbite decks to run more creatures and not play 20 frostbite cards + 6 winconditons and removal for the rest. 

Maybe you have a different point of view but thats what i experience on high diamond right now

• Fixed an issue where spoiler markup would fail to render.
• Cookies that keep track of the last part of the site you were on (for browser-side cosmetics) no longer expire when you close your browser, retaining theme.

Hearthstone

• Fixed debug info showing up in Fan Creations "my votes" section.
• Fixed a typo causing a server-side error when visiting the competition list. (This was hotfixed on Feb 18 after the first error was triggered)

Dev Notes

We're paying attention to all the feedback that has been brought forth for the new Fan Creations Card Design Competition system. We won't be making any major changes for the first competition but we are currently considering exactly what we'll change. So far we're happy with the positive response we've seen from the launch of the system and we're looking forward to a healthy competitive environment for Hearthstone card design that simply isn't being offered elsewhere.

Hello Guys

Well that might be kinda ranting but not too much ...

I got the update today and since then im having problems with the game.

it just shuts down during playing and that is a real issue because it just happens that the game doesnt even disconect, no it just crashes

So i had a REALLY strong Ashe tryn Deck wich destroyed everything so far with the exeption of a good drawing elusive deck which was sad but fine

so im on my "wildcard" and when i got back to the in the game ofc. i lost.

So then the game crashes again and now it just checks for updates ...

anyone else got something like that? (the crashing part not the lost game part)

I recently came up with an idea for a Rogue deck that revolves around getting 0-mana copies of kronx and then decimating my enemies. 

It works pretty well all in all, but it is kind of streaky, sometimes the key cards are just burried in the bottom. 

I was hoping that maybe some of you have some suggestions how to make it a little more consistent.

I played expedition mode this week and I tried a new archtype I forgot existed in the game: yetis I didn't do too well in the expedition (got 3 wins) but I got inspired to try and make a working deck for yetis, at first I tried a mono freljord deck but then I realized I should try to include another region.

I tried noxus, also removed some yeti cards which seemed too slow and ended up with 8 yeti cards in the deck in the end.. added elnuks cause elnuks are strong and also fit the theme and the draw engine of the deck (the Trifarian Assessor) with only one buff elnuks will have 5 attack.

Played 2 games.. it felt strong but it might need more tweaking to be truly competitive.. here is what I have so far:

And I am aware nunu is not yet in the game, can we safetly assume he will be added soon though? since there are already many synergies for him (nunu will definitely have the yeti tag)

So I finally gave battle scars a go, and I've been EXTREMELY surprised how successful it is.  And my deck list is not even refined...   Maybe I've just gotten lucky; maybe the archetype is so alien to everyone that their misplaying.  Regardless, I thought I'd share.

How's everyone else doing post-patch?  Any off-meta decks you've been pleasantly surprised by?

Remember this motherfucker? Skelesaurus Hex was a boss in the original LoE adventure from 2015. Its heroic Hero Power is "Add a random card to your hand. It costs (0)". Yes, you read that right. IT COSTS FUCKING 0. LoE in general had a lot of bullshit bosses (Scarvash, Slitherspear, ...) but this motherfucker is by far the worst.

You thought the Reno fight from the new adventure was bad because of the RNG. Wait until your get a FUCKING Kalecgos casting a FUCKING Power of Creation into Sunwalkers on TURN FUCKING 1. It took me several years to beat some bullshit adventure bosses, but those bosses generally become less bullshit over time thanks to new cards (I only recently beat Slitherspear with the Launcher+Venomizer combo).

But this motherfucker Skelesaurus Hex is different. Because of power creep, he becomes LESS doable over time because his Hero Power becomes more and more powerful. And that's the thing. The boss is not fun because, unlike all other bosses, there is no strategy against him. You just have to click Restart until you finally hit the 1/1000 case when he only gets useless crap from his Hero Power. Thas was even worse in 2015 because there wasn't even a Restart option for solo content.

I cleared all seemingly undoable bosses from Galakrond's Awakening (Reno, Lazul, Galakrond itself, etc...) with the Juggler+Test Subject infinite damage combo. It took a few tries to get the combo, it obviously took even more time to execute it, but at the end of the day I cleared everything.

I tried this combo with with this mofo for several hours and guess what? I could never survive until I get the full combo. Just when you think you can finally execute it, he pulls an Obsidian Statue out of his ass which obviously ruins everything because every minion needs to survive until the end and the Statue will inevitably kill one. Most of the time he kills me before turn 5 though.

Blizzard please. Delete this fucking boss from the game and give me my LoE Heroic card back I've been working for for 5 fucking years.

For this first competition, we'd like to see you create a card which utilises one of the keywords or mechanics introduced in the Year of the Dragon.

To celebrate coming back after so long away, we want to see cards all about what we went through in that time - the Year of the Dragon.

How To Enter

Once you've decided upon your design, it's time to enter! You can find the main competition page by clicking the banner above.

There, you'll find a section entitled 'Submit Entry'. This will take you to a form to fill out with the details of your card, along with a place to upload an image of it - use Hearthcards to create a great looking image!

Make sure you check your entry over, because once you've submitted you won't be able to change it.

HUGE patch notes today; so I didn't even notice this little nugget until I was rereading for the 2nd time:

Additionally, we plan to approach balance with a seasonal mindset, adjusting our methods as the meta goes through different stages between sets of new cards. Once we’re out of beta and get into our regular cadence of releasing new sets, it should look something like this:

1. New set of cards released.
2. First balance patch: mostly “medium”-sized number changes based on our early sense of outliers.
3. Second balance patch: Significant updates to underutilized cards, and the main patch where you can expect any major champion updates.
4. Third balance patch: Limited number changes to stabilize any meta issues.
5. Next set of cards released.

Since they've previously announced that they want to do balance patches exactly every 4th Tuesday, I believe we can make some reasonable inferences:

• New cards will be released in batches called "seasons", comparable to expansions in HS and MtG
• Each season will last 16 weeks (i.e., every ~4 months or ~3 per year)

Additionally, if we look a few patch notes prior to when they announced ranked mode, we can see they put that in context of "Seasons" too, so we can also hypothesize:

• Each Ranked Season will be exactly aligned with new card set releases.  (Contrast with HS, where each season is a calendar month its completely asynchronous to when card sets are released.)
• There will be some type of recognition / reward at the end of each 16 week period based on how high of tier you have on ladder.  So far they only thing they have officially announced is a cosmetic (a "beta-exclusive icon"), but I'd be really surprised if this didn't also include some form of in-game resources.
• Once the new season starts (i.e., when the next batch of new cards is released), there will be some type of ladder reset / loss of rank--again: I haven't seen any official announcements, but it makes sense that just because you hit Master once you wouldn't be guaranteed for life.   You'll then have 16 weeks with the new base of cards to re-climb and earn your rank for that season.

And finally, if you REALLY want to go out on limb, you could look at how they've been describing this open beta as a "Beta Season" and wildly speculate:

• The beta will have just 2 more rounds of balance patches, March 17th & April 14
• Riot's unofficial / internal / soft-target for closing beta and formally launching Legends of Runeterra is Tuesday, May 12
• The first expansion / new set of cards will release 16 weeks afterwards--i.e., Tuesday, September 1st

Obviously I've made a lot of assumptions in all of these points and even if I'm right that this is their unannounced plan of record its still subject to change (e.g., they find some critical bug they need to solve before releasing, or they get delayed releasing the mobile version to iTunes and decide its worth it to postpone just to have a consolidated launch, or they decide they want more overlap between their season schedule and HS's expansion schedule).  Regardless, its got me very excited so I thought I'd share.

Just thinking, apropos-of-nothing, of specific health break-points to think about in LoR. Meta's still in flux, of course, but there are enough trends emerging that we can think of:

1 - Vile Feast

2 - Mystic Shot, Fleetfeather Tracker, Laurent Protege

3 - Black Spear, Grasp, Fiora

[3] - Culling Strike; Power not health

4+ - Ehhh...?

8 - Major Ledros breakpoint - >8 health means four plays required to kill you, guaranteeing you two attack rounds

Obviously I'm not being in any way comprehensive here, and am mostly trying to stick to the main meta points (e.g. Get Excited isn't on there because Jinx is basically absent from the meta so far)... but I'm still confident I'm missing stuff. Thoughts?

what is the meaning of "ready your attack" ? tks

So, I'm curious how you guys feel about this. When you Shadowshift a unit that's currently in battle, the Living Shadow will battle the enemy unit instead. However, if you Shadowshift one of your units that's currently targeted by a spell, e.g. Mystic Shot, the spell fizzles out after Shadowshift resolves.

I feel this is inconsistent and the spell should hit the Living Shadow. The phrasing "in its place" suggests to me that, for all intents and purposes, the shadow should completely replace the recalled unit.

This is also (sort of) backed by a somewhat similar question asked about Stand United in this thread. Stand United uses the term "swap," which has the same gist, and apparently in its case, the spell hits the swapped-in unit instead of fizzling (I haven't tested it, myself, but this seems be true based in the thread replies).

Look, I could probably build a deck to get this done a lot faster. But isn't this just a LITTLE bit insane?

With how they recently reworked daily quests to be a lot easier, for the most part, why in the world sneak this one in?

I'm not saying it's impossible, far for it, but for only 50g, this is a REALLY tedious quest, and something you really have to go out of your way to build a deck around. I really think we could cut the number down on this one to something a lot more reasonable, like... even 30, I could accept.
