So I just got a 3 cost [Hearthstone Card (Shirvallah the Tiger) Not Found] with this, in arena.
Also got that new druid dragon in Arena on turn 5, pulling a couple free dragons in the turns after. In arena this card is pretty sweet.
Is this some kind of joke? No way this will see ANY competetive play. Why would you ever put this into your deck when you can use an actual card you want to play? Only excuse are fun and YOLO decks.
in rise of shadow i like to play pinata shaman and it good addition to it but anyway it fun deck
So I can finally use 2 shudderwocks in my shaman deck
Yes
Also, love the effect, I wonder if it will get in the battlegrounds
It is decent, but not like over the top powerful, because of inherent randomness... But I suppose if you don't have negative effect (like Millhouse Manastorm) it is at least just a 5/5
Battlecry shaman, playing this just for fun.
Played Shudderwock last turn.
Get Banderswock this turn.
Profit.
(PS.: There will be at least one troll doing exactly that, and probably would backfire more than anything but... I'm gonna try it if I get this little a-hole)
Comparable to Shifter Zerus but as we all know those cards are too random to be consistent. Just a bad card for Shaman although greater consistency than Zerus due to the card pool being limited to legendary.
Versatile card that can generate some good value. Unsure on whether it will see play in any shaman deck or not though.
Total meme card, could be fun for trolden clips, but definitely not competitive.
Meme card, but as I love RNG I hope I get it golden haha
Rng card. In the right spot can be so strong, but you can't build a deck around this card.
So...funny but probably not competitive
I think the fact that you don't HAVE to build a deck around it is what makes it strong. As long as it doesn't interfere with your gameplan you can just jam it into any deck and if just play it if you roll something good enough (or if you just need some tempo)
alright, so I'm just gonna compile all the (currently) possible outcomes in Standard based on quality:
Terrible: Wardruid Loti, Duskfallen Aviana, Millhouse Manastorm, King Mukla, Griftah, Harbinger Celestia, The Beast, Deathwing, Deathwing, Mad Aspect,
Pointless: Keeper Stalladris, Oblivitron, Jan'alai, the Dragonhawk, Commander Rhyssa, Chameleos, Captain Hooktusk, Tak Nozwhisker, Tess Greymane, Blastmaster Boom, Zayle, Shadow Cloak, Subject 9, Whizbang the Wonderful, Nozdormu, Mecha'thun, Bandersmosh,
Decent: Lucentbark, Splintergraft, King Krush, Khadgar, Archmage Arugal, Toki, Time-Tinker, High Priest Thekal, The Glass Knight, Prince Liam, High Priest Amet, Face Collector, Electra Stormsurge, Scargil, Vessina, High Priestess Jeklik, Fel Lord Betrug, Armagedillo, Bloodmage Thalnos, Nat Pagle, Brightwing, SN1P-SN4P, Dollmaster Dorian, Oondasta, Nithogg, Zzeraku the Warped,
Great: Cenarius, Houndmaster Shaw, Halazzi, the Lynx, Boommaster Flark, Vereesa Windrunner, Emeriss, Stargazer Luna, Archmage Antonidas, Hex Lord Malacrass, Kalecgos, Crystalsmith Kangor, Tirion Fordring, Shirvallah, the Tiger, Madame Lazul, Bwonsamdi, the Dead, Prophet Velen, Catrina Muerte, Edwin VanCleef, Gral, the Shark, Heistbaron Togwaggle, Myra Rotspring, Swampqueen Hagatha, Al'Akir the Windlord, Shudderwock, Dark Pharaoh Tekahn, Glinda Crowskin, Hir'eek, the Bat, Darius Crowley, Akali, the Rhino, Grommash Hellscream, Zilliax, Cairne Bloodhoof, Barista Lynchen, Hogger, Illidan Stormrage, Countess Ashmore, High Inquisitor Whitemane, Siamat, Gruul, Alexstrasza, Malygos, Onyxia, Ysera, Colossus of the Moon, Ysera, Unleashed, Veranus, Dragonbane, Flik Skyshiv, Waxadred, Valdris Felgorge, Sathrovarr, Dragonqueen Alexstrasza, Shu'ma,
Situational: Flobbidinous Floop, Elise the Enlightened, Gonk, the Raptor, Dinotamer Brann, Reno the Relicologist, Sir Finley of the Sands, Nozari, Lady in White, Zerek, Master Cloner, Princess Talanji, Anka, the Buried, Zentimo, Krag'wa, the Frog, Dr. Morrigan, Arch-Villain Rafaam, Lord Jaraxxus, War Master Voone, Blackhowl Gunspire, The Boom Reaver, Lorewalker Cho, Zephrys the Great, Tinkmaster Overspark, Archmage Vargoth, Captain Greenskin, Harrison Jones, Leeroy Jenkins, Mojomaster Zihi, The Black Knight, Azalina Soulthief, Baron Geddon, Lord Godfrey, Chef Nomi, Da Undatakah, Jepetto Joybuzz, Octosari, Archivist Elysiana, Hakkar, the Soulflayer, King Phaoris, Malygos, Aspect of Magic, Nozdormu the Timeless, Dragonrider Talritha, Kronx Dragonhoof, Frizz Kindleroost
as you can see, the results will rarely be unplayable, sometimes pointless and more often either great or situational (which usually ranges from pointless to great depending on the current situation).
Wow thank you! Great analysis. This made me way more sure of this card
Thanks for compiling, man! I agree with most of your choices. Loti might be better than terrible, and OG Deathwing should be considered situational. Dragonqueen Alexstrasza should be situational too, since you may have dupes in the deck.
OG deathwing is only considered terrible because he's just strictly inferior to regular Deathwing (5-mana doesn't matter if you discard your hand) and Loti is terrible because she transforms into her poorly statted forms, but still costs 5-mana, which makes her useful in only a handful of specific situations (in which you will most likely lose anyways)
The classification is a bit wonky, since technically any outcome is dependant on whether you can affor to play it in the current situation. In reality I would have to make a seperate list for each Shaman archetype.
I mainly based this on the average situation you'd find yourself in on average (which is why Togwaggle is rated "great" since I assumed in most cases one would be using a deck that has access to lots of lackeys)
Dang, forgot about how Loti would not keep the 5/5 stats. Yeah, you're right there. I still think DW could be useful if you're desperate for a clear. Not exactly an ideal situation and certainly not a good way to clear, though.
if chamelion was good, this seems even better
Oh, if only it was like muckmorpher for legendary minions...
Obviously has potential, but seems to need a slow meta, We'll see.
