It really should be instant nowadays, as soon as you log into the game on any region once the 2 hours mark has been passed. It's important to follow all those steps listed in the official blog and make sure your account is properly "connected" (with the text and the diamond icon showing). Also the "live" icon on YouTube video should remain red - if it has turned gray at any point, that means you are out of sync/offline and it's not counting your watchtime towards any packs (ideally you can turn volume off for your system or that browser tab, but don't mute the YT video itself).
We've been making thorough updates to the article, so everything about the ongoing Chi-Ji event should be fully up to date. By now many players have been able to complete all the tasks, so there is more live server data to go by.
Also added a couple more segments and clarifications, especially dealing with the following new information from the Hearthstone team:
Fixes a bug with two of the special Chi-Ji Event Tasks (Tasks 4 and 8) that caused them to not count when completed if the player selected certain non-fight nodes during the Bounty.
Confirmed with dev that it's intended for this first one. Maybe design can speak more on "why," but my guess is the intent was this goal of "shaking up" how Toki works by replacing her with this alternative.
That said, we've heard the feedback on some rough edges with this event and the team is specifically looking to incorporate feedback to improve future events (maybe not a ton of changes for the next one, since it is very far along at this point, but going forward).

Technically don't prevent completion, as there are players who have already completed the whole thing. Ironically with some of these bugs making it way more challenging. But it can be a frustrating experience for somebody far less determined to do repeats and find out what the hell causes problems.
Hmm, Subjugation can be premium. Saronite Armor treasure can help on the squishy ones (not taking critical damage). Focusing the middle boss seems important. But I heard of people doing it with just Nature and Shadow (Tamsin and Guff can both offer taunts, Cookie can give extra Health plus boosted bleed, etc.). Frost is another angle that worked for others, as summons apparently don't bug the encounter. So Varden's Ice Wall treasure and freeze deathrattle can buy a lot of time, so can Jaina's elementals.
As far as we know, it should be just that you enter the boss fight with 3 Beasts alive. If one has died to normal encounters during your climb there, that's why it wouldn't have triggered.
Updated the original article based on the new information we got from the live servers so far: now the event is live in all regions, all 10 Tasks seem to be available from the get go (the patch notes didn't tell us the whole truth, or the live implementation missed the mark).
As players make their way through these Tasks, we also find out about potential bugs and workarounds. As noted in the text now, Task 4: Invokers of Hope gives people trouble. It still got to be full Casters team, but you shouldn't pick up any Class Boons or Bombs along the way (Chi-Ji does NOT have to be a part of the team, apparently).
Can confirm this seems to be the workaround, will update the text accordingly. Do not pick any class boons, and if you stumble onto a bomb, you might as well restart too. Chi-Ji does not seem to be necessary to have in the team.

I believe only the missing achievements are scheduled for Patch 22.6, the rest is meant to be hotfixed this week and the next. The quest issues should absolutely be of the utmost priority, otherwise they will need to deal with a lot of angry people and likely have to figure out some kind of compensation.

We do not, although Avalon has reached out to the team trying to find out. We'll see if they feel like sharing.
Not intentional, they messed up. I've updated the achievement section with a small note about it (it's now listed in their Known Issues forum thread).
Also updated Arena rotation segment and mentioned the ongoing reports about Kazakusan issues in Duels.
There is a Core set in there, not sure if they've added it to the patch notes at a later date as an afterthought or perhaps Sinti took it for granted.
