B) The game is built on UI that is counter intuitive. Picture this: You just finished an elite fight and you got 3 awesome treasures you can choose from. You want to make a meaningful choice based on the remaining fights on your run, the treasures that you already got and the info about other mercs on your squad (race, equipment, stats etc.). Well, you can't access any of those things because choosing a treasure uses a discover-a-card like mechanic that is not minimizable, forcing you to choose right there and now based only on things you can remember. I found myself in this kind of situation 3-4 times already. Even worse, the choice didn't even matter much in the end (point A) but if eventually the choice does matter we should be able to access all that information.
This point has been bothering me too. I'd find myself pick a treasure, then go look at my merc comp to find the treasure didn't really synergize well. Also, there's certain treasures like "Give you Horde/Alliance characters x/y", if you don't follow WoW lore, or are a new player, you'll have no idea whose who.
And one last thing; the games quite unimpressive in terms of aesthetics. A small nitpick to be sure, but it is what it is.
So from a design perspective, this game was designed purely for mobile phones and not for desktop. There's a lot of unused space during battles with the board very bare and non-interactive compared to the traditional game boards we used to.
Come to think of it though, the Stormwind game board itself is the least interactive board we've got, so maybe blizzard isn't bothered with aesthetics anymore 😢
Yea, definitely esports or even live stream reveal rewards. Blizzard wouldn't give certain players packs for bugs that affect them. If they did this, they'd make an announce about it.
And the reason they let us know about these issues now is coz they couldn't add the fixes into this patch or they are still busy fixing the issues but couldn't delay mercs again. I'm happy they announce the known issues to the public but it's also to help their support teams so they not overrun with support tickets due to these bugs.
These OoC duels competitions are quite cool. I might participate in this one as I enjoy deathrattle synergies and Deathwing, Dragonlord has such a wicked deathrattle. (I'm just biased ofc 😁)
I'll be that person though: We are grateful for the generous on site gold rewards, but we can't spend it 😢
ultrarotom suggests to pick Golden Kobold in case you get Disks of Legend: while we haven't tried it ourselves, we can definitely see why!
Yes I can confirm, 2 6/6 taunts on turn 3 is bonkers, and the resulting hand of legendary minions for following turns just wins games on the spot. I got 2 Kobolds in my last warrior run and got 12 wins. Thanks to Avalon for the deck as well 😁
We even had some example Stormwind heroes like @Kripparrian the Stormwind Guard.
I think we're all in agreement that we absolutely need this now that it's mentioned. It's such a cool idea, as it supports the streamers and could even highlight smaller streamers as well if it becomes popular.
Another idea could be streamer cosmetics? Like imagine Slyssa Xyrella or Kripp Millhouse cosmetics. I'd totally buy those
That seems much more flavorful seeing as the reward is infinite spell damage +3 and we'd need to play 3 spell damage minions. I'd change the wording though, coz you'd need to play the minion, not cast it like a spell
That Discover warrior is super odd. The Netherspite Historian and Primalfin Lookout only benefit from the passive treasure, so if you don't find the treasure or any dragons/murlocs during your run, they're useless
Edit: I didn't read the cards, so regardless, if you don't have a dragon in hand or a murloc on board, the discover won't trigger at all anyway. I'd prob find better discover cards to replace those 2. Actually 3 coz Entrapped Sorceress wouldn't proc either
I'd imagine we'd get profession tools for a different class, if it were Alchemy related, I'd say Druid or Shaman would best fit that thematically. We might get a rogue mount, coz Scabbs was riding a robotic chicken in the trailer. Also a couple more Tradeable cards would be obvious.
I'm hoping we get a quest disruption tool. Something along the lines of a minion with text that reads "Battlecry: Players cannot complete questlines till the start of your next turn."
Not a single quest deck in sight. This makes me both happy and sad at the same time, seeing as 4 out of the 5 decks listed are similar to Barrens meta decks.
