  • If you haven't noticed yet. For SOME REASON when you die to new c'thun from full health because your rogue opponent is a lucky piece of human trash. You can't concede. You are forced to watch the entire animation, from start to finish before the game lets you leave.

I don't remember this being the case for old C'thun but it sure is a bad feeling when you're stuck there with the slow animation plinking you down from full health. ESPECIALLY after watching your opponent get lucky all game as had happened to me.

This card alone will destroy any chance to see some controls decks.

    I hope so!

And when it`s viable against Reno-Priest I should main "Ticklock", because fu** Priest!

I agree with fuck priest, and if this was released only into wild i wouldn't be as upset about it, but in standard this card is disgusting and not a control tool against control matchups. You could be player lackey gala warlock all game never playing anything that cost more than 3 mana against a control deck, and instawin because this is in your deck because it was your day one legendary. That's bullshit. Control in standard is a joke as it is, and this obviously shows just how much the devs don't care about the archetype. You can like tickatus against reno priest or big priest. Hey, me too. But it's obvious what this card it. Another flashy card with no way to play around it, that screws you over when it's played against you. It's just like puzzlebox of yogg in standard, poison seeds. spreading plague in wild or original yogg itself.  Or even the resurrection mechanic. It's an effect your opponent has no control over that wins them the game unless your opponent is lucky or has planned for being screwed over all game(which you can do in wild. i do it all the time when i play there but you can't in standard.) turn 9 Created by another card and i lose https://hsreplay.net/replay/XjwGKasnsU9upYjmMqd8oY

    Fun and interactive.

I tried the deck, and if you don't happen to find any drawing card soon against tempo decks it's almost impossible to win.

I agree, aggro is VERY hard to win against and if you have a card like scrap golem in your starting hand it is essentially worthless against an opponent who just plays cards without thinking about anything. But that is not the fault of this deck its the state of non agro in in standard.

I'm sorry you lost. I hope you didn't craft anything to make this deck, and if you did i hope you try it again at least until you win.

  • zeddy was right, they did this on purpose. This was obviously a marketting tactic. they tipped their toe out the door to see how much they could get away with and now they're going to release what they were going to release anyway.

He was also right about people forgiving blizzard for doing this, like they didn't just do this on purpose.

Everything about this situation feels like a calculated move on Blizzard's part. Even the thematic choice of the expansion is starting to feel like a way to mitigate backlash. The original Old Gods are arguably the most iconic cards in the game's history and their reintroduction will certainly help distract people from this whole fiasco.

It's a magic trick. They wave the old gods in front of you, and behind their back they're giving you the finger

Well, we know option 1 is impossible. If I can come and go without losing any value, there's really just no longer any reason to really care or commit to hearthstone to any degree since it can be taken and dropped almost at whim. As such the playerbase numbers will fluctuate wildly, sometimes because the expansion is boring (like during the meta after Ungoro-Kobolds have rotated) or because blizz is being an arse (like the Blitzchung issue)

Changing dust value is perhaps the easiest option here, and I think it has been mooted when the survey was first leaked, since it was universally acknowledged then that such a system would have repercussions on the game's economy.

I personally think the best way is to incrementally reduce the cost of each expansion's dust crafting requirement, so a legendary from, say, AoO would be a lot cheaper than it would be during its cycle. Not only will it maintain the economy at an advantage to blizz during the expansion's cycle, it will still significantly make the game more approachable to new players, especially those wanting to have a go at wild.

Call me old fashioned but i think games shouldn't be skinner boxes, they should be fun to play and that's why people should keep playing them. If hearthstone gets a subscription based model it will do one thing. Make people take the game less seriously. If you think the current model that forces people to be good at arena, rush down ladder with the most cancerous aggro deck and spend tons of money. is the way to go for the game's future then i don't think i should be having this conversation. F2ps worry about this game like it's their rent and they just got fired from their job. Focusing every day on how much they get and wondering if it'll last the month. That shouldn't be in the game. if you're F2p it's play aggro or GTFO. Because you ain't crafting those 8 legendaries you need to play that control deck homie.

I have made a strawpoll to see what people think would be able to change hearthstone if blizzard decides on not changing the model for the battlepass. The options include:

The optional monthly membership that gives you access to the entire collection

This option has been passed around for a long time, mostly because blizzard is a company well known for a subscription based game in world of warcraft, and an argument i have genuinely not heard a strong argument against outside of the sunk cost fallacy for the putting the option into the game so late.

    Doubling dust refunds

This option i feel has been needed in hearthstone for a loooooooooooong time. It feels terrible being free to play barely being able to play two classes out of the now ten and getting some shitty legendary that was already fringe but now that you have it it is completely worthless. You sell it in the shop and you get 1/4th of what it should be worth. This option would give dusting cards half their value instead of what we have now, legendaries would reward 800, epics 200, etc etc. and i think it has been needed for a long time in hearthstone just because it feels TERRIBLE uncrafting literally ANYTHING. And since there is no opportunity for getting the legendary you want other than crafting for dust. You will probably get more junk legendaries from packs before getting the ones you want, not counting the fact you might just get the same shitty ones you have been dusting over and over to get something good.(i got two Bwonsamdi, the Dead in rastakahn during the expansion, a card you could argue is still useless to this day.)

These are the two i have thought of as the best solutions, but if you have a better answer to it, feel free to pick the third option and reply below.

  • Might want to capitalize Ilgynoth as well, i thought i was looking for two i's haha

  • I actually like this better than Evasive Wyrm, i have played A LOT of dragon decks and i have played a lot of the wyrm and i gotta say, the amount of times i'd have 5 damage in have but needed six is too damn high.

  • If [Hearthstone Card (wicked wispers) Not Found] works the same way Shriek if you discarded a card like Boneweb Egg would summon 2 3/2s for 1 mana. that's a pretty big swing.

    [Good point]

There's a point where it's not a coincidence anymore and we've reached that i believe. There was a reason it took them so long to show EXACTLY how much experience we would be getting and how that equates to rewards. And i don't think it's fair comparing hearthstone to other card games in model because there is no resell value. When blizzard decides the game is over it's over. You get nothing. You lose. Good day sir. And unlike "WoW expansions played as they were then" there won't be a huge community backlash that blizzard will ignore for years before suing the pants off community members that recreated their game before they bring it back, they won't bring it back at all. Even artifact had a resell system. Where you got rewards in game that lead to the ability to get in game currency to buy packs and sell cards on the steam market. Wish hearthstone you get the dust system. Unpack a legendary for a class you don't like playing or will never see play? Guess what you can dust it for 1/4th of what it was originally worth. Tough luck buddy get 3 more lorewalker chos and you'll get something good. In yugioh or MTG or even pokemon cards you can buy a pack from a store for cheap and have the chance of selling what's inside for more based on the card's competitive value(anyone who's watched any maxmoefoe video will tell you that) but in hearthstone you get nothing, it's a closed loop system. And the returns are diminishing based on how much you put into it. In hearthstone you keep cards not because you want to use them but because you hope they get nerfed so blizzard finally gives you an excuse to get a good dust conversion for them. And lately they've even been finding ways to weasel out of that.

Its still too soon to see if they would double down on this. I'm fairly certainly they will eventually tweak the rewards, maybe before the release of Darkmoon, or somewhere around 2 weeks to a month.

I highly doubt that Blizzard would try to change the new system that they just released. The earliest time they would probably change the system is probably the next expansion after Darkmoon Faire, and I think that by itself is already an optimistic prediction. They took a while to implement the tavern pass system in the first place and if they are probably going to change it drastically, it's probably going to take a lot of effort and that's something they probably don't have anymore.

Probably not. Its all speculation obviously, but one good thing from this entire bs of a system is that its easily tweaked, from simply granting more xp on games to increasing the gold gained, maybe from 100 to 150.

Given all the fire and brimstone hanging around, if they still hope to sell even a small bundle out without causing a major backlash, then a quick fix would seem the sensible solution.

They know the whales don't care. They know the content creators with large followings won't speak out about it, they know reddit will forgot about it in a week just like before, they know nothing will happen. So why should they change anything.

Content creators are coming out making fun of people for trying to get them to spread awareness for this. Even leaving in the bit where someone mentions why they won't bring up these issues because they'll lose sponsorship from blizzard.

  • The immune is just there as a joke, they're going to be hitting you in the face with this 100% of the time.

  • Too fringe to be played, no one's comboing a Restless Mummy with this just the same as the other rush synergy cards.

  • lorewalker stats for a legendary, would be better if it buffed all totems including itself, but i think it's still good if you draw it early enough.

  • Good effect you can play around. nice secret to discover early for the "new spellstone"

  • This will be very annoying to fight as is class identity.

  • This is just the lackey but better and for a fair cost.. I still don't know why people think it's in flavor for shamans to be duelists.
