  • Yeah, can confirm that I haven't gotten more packs after having gotten 2 from the 1st week. Dont think it'lll come too, its been 3 days after all.

Must be a typo, or they made a mistake on week 2. Can't imagine blizz getting too generous on purpose.

  • Theres only three classes that generally play Kazakusan; druid, priest and warrior.

Druid has been straying away from it nowadays, because old gods are simply just more consistent in terms of finishing the opponent, since locusts are gone from the pool. And you get to play more anti aggro, of which a kazakusan deck simply cannot do.

Priest and warrior have it but you might as well just forget about it, because they're rarely ever seen and generally the game's over way before they ever get to play kazakusan anyway.

Of course it also depends what you're playing. If you're running aggro decks, then obviously you'll never ever see that dragon out.

  • Ive made only one real comparison, which is storytelling, a general enough point that can be related to most if not all games. Some games have more story than gameplay, but its not entirely invalid to make a comparisons of an attempt at story between two unrelated genres.

The only possible other would be my statement that Ive been playing more elden ring than hearthstone as of late, mostly because I think the meta's a little stale. Hardly an unfair statement.

Hey, I just linked my account and am looking for drops for the first time. When should I expect my packs?

You should get them nearly immediately after fulfilling the required watching hours.

Just make sure while watching that you've not muted youtube and keep it active, which means not having it in a tab while youre doing something else.

Ah, thanks for the info. I was kind of watching off and on while doing other stuff. I mean, listening to the casters talk between matches doesn't interest me as much as the matches themselves. Guess I'll take a little longer to rak up the time.

Just have it run on an active window and mute the internet tab, not youtube. That way you can do whatever you're doing and still fulfill the requirements for the packs. You dont have to watch it if you dont want to to get those 2 packs.

  • Lots of good stories in Elden ring. Guess that paycheck to George RR Martin was worth it, because there's plenty of storylines there that actually have decent payoffs that makes me care.

Something which team5 should pay attention to. Because they had a good one in the merc storyline and then proceed to completely fked it up. That latest one was a particular head scratcher. The last one to wrap it all up gotta really be pulling all stops to save this from complete disaster.

  • Hearthstone has been overshadowed a bit by elden ring for me, still on my first character after 70 hours, its amazing.

Just waiting until the next expansion announcement, because so far hearthstone is a little more stale than usual. You're either 5 mana ahead of your opponent or your opponent plays an Irondeep Trogg turn 1 and you've just lost the game. I swear that rotation can't come any sooner.

  • I cant account for last week because I legit thought it wouldn't grant any more packs if you got it from the first week, but in general, make sure;

    - Your battlenet account is connected with your youtube account

    - You allow the youtube window to be 'active', which means you can't just let it run on a tab. Just open another window if you need to do something else.

    - You don't mute youtube. Just mute the entire tab instead

You'll usually get the packs instantly after fulfilling the hours requirement. Usually. Otherwise, be prepared to wait at least a day or two.

  • Probably more fitting as a tavern brawl to be honest.

Even if they implement something like this, there's a high likelihood of a chance that all you'll be facing is that same control class, because control or not, there's always one class that does it better than everyone else. Take control priest for example, what odds are the chances it, or any other class, ever beating warrior in an attrition based control game, who can generate 2 health every turn and is not bound by the health cap.

And really, if such a mode exist, there's a fair chance it wont even be about control because I'll just be queuing deathrattle decks or the greediest decks available, which as we have seen in barrens meta, counters control easily. So control gets sidelined in the very mode its created for.

So essentially this solves nothing, brings in more complains, and is unlikely to ever be popular enough so even the queue timer would be 10 minutes long on average.

  • The question would now be whos going to be the face of hearthstone now that Dean has been promoted to game director. Let's be honest here, Ben Lee hasn't exactly been making his presence known to the public, though assuredly he's working hard in the background. So Dean taking his role means no more usual Q&As from him now?

  • I think its a term for decks that mainly play cards that increases your opponent's card cost, like Nerub'ar Weblord and Far Watch Post. Admitably this is a rather fun archetype in duels, where paladin can just keep reviving these stuff out.

Honestly, if nerubar weblord, loatheb, and mindbreaker was in standard you'd legit have a paladin that does nothing but prevent your opponent from playing.

  • Its kinda insane that it must have been at least 4 years since we last heard of that disaster PR response.

Dont know what is holding back the release, but I think blizz just believed its tainted from birth and subsequently removed most of its devs at work and the end result being that we waited 4 years for a game no one asked for or wanted.

  • Mobile Warcraft game?

Probably just another WoW on mobile. Or one of those inane mobile games where you're building stuff with options of purchasing gems to speed up.

Just reached Level 140. I finally managed to complete some achievements: the Xyrella deathrattle ones, summoning X number of dread imps, and the Kurtrus, Demon-Render one. I'm frustrated that I've yet to complete the one for triggering honorable kills; it's a pretty difficult mechanic to pull off.

I expect to be at Level 150+ by the end of the week.

Honor kills you can easily farm with Keen Reflex and our old reliable, Mad Summoner. It'll still take quite some time, but at very least its substantially easier than before this card was introduced.

Kazakusan basically has ruined the meta, either you play him or you beat him, there's no inbetween. I'd be shocked if he doesn't get nerfed again post-rotation.

Is the problem Kazakusan, or is the problem Lightning Bloom and Overgrowth? Those are the two that are turboing Kazakusan out. There have been plenty of games where I put on enough pressure so that the Druid can't spend 8 mana doing nothing. It's just you can't do that when their 8 mana is on turn 4.

Its fairly obvious the problem is mainly druid ramp, not Kazakusan itself, even with the locusts still in. We are in a time where druid ramps upwards to 5 mana above yours by turn 6 and right after playing kazakusan you're in for a Solar Eclipse embers of rag treat. And all that while you're struggling to get even a decent minion out that doesn't just die to Scale of Onyxia, which isnt a good card on its own, but out on turn 4 is just a straight killer because you can't even ignore it since Arbor Up is handily threatening lethal on its own.

That team5 decided to nerf kazakusan instead of addressing the absurd ramp in druid leads me to believe that the next rotation would probably feature yet another crazy ramp engine since Overgrowth and Lightning Bloom is obviously going away. I'd just like team5 to understand that there are ways of making druid fun to play, whilst not shitting into everyone's lunch. Ramp should give advantages, not outright determine winners and losers.

  • Librams is pratically the only thing keeping paladin relevant. It would be interesting to see where team5 would steer the class now, since nearly everything they've given to paladin pales in comparison with the broken shit they give to every other class. Even the secrets is getting a massive power level down with the rotation of Oh My Yogg! which was by far the best secret paladin has, more or less an indication at how shitty the secrets paladin has in general, and how board-less the game has gone since the start of stormwind.

I am strugling with The General in BRM. Watched videos and tried different setups but no luck so far.
Losing mercs before i am even there as well.
I have the idea i need more maxed out mercenaries for this to get it done.

Am i right in this or what do you suggest to get it done?

Just curious, what team are you running in BRM anyway? The enemies there aren't usually too bad, definitely not as bad as winterspring.

I tried with Xyrella, Malfurion, Brukan, King Mukla, Cairne and Samuro

Then replace Cairne and Samuro for Anduin and Velen.
I can remember I had Gruul in there before, no idea why i took it out....scratches head

Anyway thanks guys/girls for advice, I will keep on trying.

You really should just get liferoot staff on Malfurion and go full nature bros, Malfurion/Guff/Brukan. Absolutely absurd damage from guff just destroys red bosses.

Xyrella is a good choice, because she deals well with many of BRM's DOT enemies like core hound. I'd personally have Xyrella/Gruul/Brightwing as my secondary. Or if you dont have brightwing, you can just go either cariel/mutanus for taunt or Chi-ji for heal.

The recent removal of locusts changes alot, and honestly kazakusan is only truly OP in druid, where ramp can reach an absurd 5 mana advantage around turn 7-8.

In most other decks, its a decent pay off but its still 8 mana do nothing, making it hard to play and not fall behind or outright die. Plus, despite what it feels like, there's definitely more than a small chance of kazakusan giving you utterly shit treasures and basically bottom up your game.

  • Unfortunately, that's what we usually get whenever there's a combo meta...or a druid meta. Perhaps its the same thing, because thus far the only druid deck that actually plays the same way other decks do is taunt aggro druid.

Its not even that difficult to see why. Combo and druid decks tend to die off very easily to hyper aggro and that in turn in chomped away by control decks. And it gets worse, because not many decks can outvalue control or a ramped up druid deck while trying to dodge hyper aggro decks as well. Basically if you're wanting a balanced deck that has a chance against most others, its quest rogue or burn shaman, and then pray hard you don't meet control warrior, the only bad matchup.

  • Very likely one of the most impactful expansion in the last 2 years. Every class has something special, and unusually there's alot of useful neutral cards in this set.

Its actually interesting to see what team5 would do in the next rotation, because cards like Cult Neophyte and Animated Broomstick have such broad applications that you can't really just print another one of these at a different mana slot. And yet this two cards are practically some of the more important tech cards available that makes board based, midrange decks work against the backdrop of bs from the usualn classes like mage, druid and rogue.

But the one card that I'll gladly buy its ticket out of standard would be Lightning Bloom, which can consider itself incredibly lucky to never get a nerf because in both classes it was incredibly tilting to suffer through.
