  • Does what the card says. Meh.

In a world where there's tradeable cards, the only reason you'd play this is to double your chance to draw the quite excellent Canal Slogger. Otherwise, just swap this for a tradeable card, any tradeable card.

  • I dont need to review this. It speaks for itself.

If you dont think this will be in every shaman deck until the next expansion, I'd be worried about you more than anything else.

  • Too slow, and too cumbersome. There no chance you're saving up overload cards just so this card can shine, and even if you manage it its only spawning 2/3s.

The only god play this card has is a turn 4 Lightning Bloom into two more overload cards. Even still the tokens have a mere 2 attack which means it doesn't necessarily take value trades all that easily. And you've just emptied your hand for this.

  • Too much competition is why this card will never see play. At the moment, its literally only Whack-A-Gnoll Hammer and Doomhammer. Anything not named those two things just never get included.

Maybe it sees something in control shaman with bolner + ysharaaj end game. Then this card has some reason to exist because it literally allows you to finish the game 2 turns earlier. But my take is that its simply not worth the bother.

  • Watched Kibler's stream and every time I see this its insane. The real power of this card is that its discover, not just randomly selecting a minion, which means its nearly always good for the situation.

Plus, if you're running a heavy overload deck, is there any reason not to play this?

  • Probably not good. Any dedicated elemental deck would be a midrange deck which means this card have to intrinsically let you play big elementals early and at the moment there's simply no really good ones.

Unless you can literally build an entire deck that plays nothing but elementals, complete with an end game like kalimos there's just no reason not to just equip Doomhammer instead and win.

  • The spy gizmos are incredible, which means its worth your while to build around this quest.

But it really does suffer from a few issues. Firstly, rogues cant heal, so if this doesn't win them the game it's basically asking for you to die. Second, the SI cards are decent at best, and none of them have taunt. Is it worth it to both skip one turn and draw one less? Aggro decks basically eat this quest alive.

It can certainly get better, because rogue can easily just shadowstep scabbs to perpetually have reload in hand. Its just the healing issue they need to resolve.

Either way, for being one of the few quests that can actually be completed without breaking a neck, and that the reward is decent, its definitely a cut above the others.

  • Its SI fodder. Not good, but not bad neither.

The stealth is useful for something like Cold Blood, or triggering Greyheart Sage. Rogue can do better in the 3 mana range, but if youre pushing for quest this one is handily what you may need.

  • Its just unfortunately trash, unless rogue has some combo in the works this is just never worth it.

First you give your opponent a coin, then he silences/transform this minion and suddenly your behind. Sketchy information gives you two coins straight in exchange for playing a 3 mana nothing, and since rogues cant heal you'd lose tempo and will never regain it.

Had the original malygos still be in standard then I can see why'd you be hoarding coins, but as it stands your best bet is some kind of scabbs win condition with Potion of Illusion and new alex. What other use will there be to have two coins in hand? Ramp rogue? More like a joke to me.

Oh, and hoarding coins means you get rekt by illucia, very hard.

  • Its not good. Not because the minion is trash, but because rogue literally never needs something like this. 2 cards are required before this becomes even remotely decent, but even as a 4 mana 5/5, what reason is there for rogue to ever need to play something like this?

Not to mention that this card makes kazakus unplayable, and that alone dooms this to obscurity.

  • Its just a good card to be honest, tradeable or no. In fact there's no real reason for rogue to ever trade this out, its simply cheap efficient removal. Brain Freeze does better by being able to freeze but this card requires no combo conditions, which is partially why its only real home is an SI deck.

  • Its mostly going to cost around 4 by the time you reach turn 5, so its literally just a cheaper Vilespine Slayer, but it can only fit an SI deck realistically.

Honestly, its practically the only thing rogue has against paladin right now, outside of a gamble with the SI devices from the quest. It gets high praise from me because if you wanted a midrange rogue that doesn't do miracle, this card is a near mandatory requirement to build around.

  • It wouldn't be long before everyone figures out how to play around the possible rogue strats with this card. Its primary function now would be to fake out your opponent into making a wrong mulligan choice. But honestly, rogue can rarely ever take advantage of it. Unless its literally big minion meta, there's just no way people don't just mull for their early cards against any class in general.

Fun, but you're giving up a card slot for that fun. Would it be worth it? Initially yes, but gradually I suspect this is just never a real option.

  • This is straight up insane. I don't know what possessed team5 to think that this is okay as a 1 mana card because its yet another option from Wandmaker thats literally going to drawing a card for 1 mana or ruin your opponent's day and board.

Just when you think deathrattles are going to wreck priest here comes the one card that can literally come out of nowhere.

Silences may not be as good as it once was, but is this card even remotely fair?

  • It'll be drawing one most of the time its out. Too bad its never a curve minion along with the value, unless you manage to stick a 1 drop.

All in all, its just doing what priest needed to do. There's no chance this doesn't see play.

  • It does face damage. And its a shadow spell. Yes, that pretty much wraps up a review.

  • It stops at 11am gmt+8 if Im not mistaken.

Either that or twitch froze, or did something you weren't aware of. Its a rather long stream so checking once a while might be a better plan than turn on and forget.

  • I don't really know how to evaluate this. You're never playing this on curve, and certainly no aggro deck would need this because a minion on curve is better and priest still cant draw decently enough for this to be consistently good.

Does control priest need this? Maybe not. Most shadow spells aren't cheap except for Raise Dead, and there's so many good shadow spells that you can never get full value of this card  by playing it early in anticipation of destroying a board.

  • Its decent, just adds more to priest's aggro potential.

There's really not many shadow spells to OTK straight, and there's always the issue that this can easily just kill you if you don't sweep the opponent off the first turn you have this.

It gets you close to lethal. That might be good enough even if this procts only once.

  • If you're playing shadow aggro priest this card is amazing. Basically aggro decks can afford to ignore damage to their face, while their opponents certainy can't.

Unfortunately it'll almost never live past turns where it'll be relevant, and in aggro mirrors its not helpful especially mindful that priest has very little burst compared to actual aggro classes like hunter.
