The prevailing idea (dont ask me about source, I read about this long ago in a reddit thread) is that start of game effects will trigger according to how the cards are shuffled in the deck. So if Benedictus is ahead of cthun in the deck at the start of the game, then benedictus will trigger first followed by cthun (which means you get the shadowform). But if cthun is ahead then this will trigger first (which means you dont get shadowform)
Its not possible to control this, you just have to get lucky. You can already try this by slotting cthun into an even deck.
If Im not mistaken you dont get refunded for duels even after the rotation. Got burned last time I did this, not that I wasn't having fun. Got a whole hoard of these tickets anyway.
Only for arena, so for all those that havent yet, just make an arena deck and wait for the rotation to get a free pack.
Most companies would rather that the payment enter in en masse rather than slowly trickling in. It has an impact in the financial statements as these things are made on a quarterly basis. The bonuses, or discounts if you will, provided in a preorder is to entice customers towards that goal. By having this available throughout the expansion, there would not be any reason then to offer discounts or bonuses.
Also, unless you're really gunning for the extra skins and cardbacks, you're almost always better off just waiting for the usual 20 bucks bundle because up until now they've always been 20 packs + 2 legendaries of the current expansion, which in my opinion is more bang for buck.
The quests in stormwind is slow, like really slow. To offset this, team5 have properly made it so the different tiers gives out some rewards to compensate but after looking at the theorycraft stream I think its safe to say that:
- Very frequently you'll win/lose before you get the full quest reward done. In my view this problem is currently plaguing priest and mage the most. Quest priest decks are in fact midrange decks which stupidly enough actually looks like it can win the game without even relying on the final reward. Mage on the other hand, well, let's be honest it'll be a spell mage deck and with cards like Ignite and Hot Streak I've no doubt the game will end way before you get to play the reward at all.
- Some decks will just play the quest because they can, not because the quest actually wins the game. Druid for example will be playing plenty of the quest but don't expect Guff to ever win you the game. Cenarion Ward, Arbor Up and Glowfly Swarm will be doing the actual winning here. Its somewhat amazing, but I really think druid's quest is probably the better of the lot.
- Overall, in my opinion the quests will be fully completed by around turn 6-7, with the exception of druid and paladin. Will be interested to see how many times I will actually be playing those 5 mana rewards without getting my teeth kicked in.
- I think we'll be seeing some good archetypes off from stormwind. The sad thing is that I don't think they'll be quest decks. Shadow priest, control corrupt shaman, a new spell mage, and strangely boar rogue may actually come out good from this set.
You missed out on dhunter, shaman and hunter in your list. Watch dekkster's stream for hunter, I think he played a good deal of that yesterday. It may not be tier 1, but its certainly a fun deck that can win.
You get the same amount of dust it takes to craft them anyway. In short, its always makes sense to dust them. You can craft them back if the itch is there, when the time comes.
To be honest, the idea of removing xp once the expansion rotates is a decision made straight from the fourth circle in hell. I mean, what reason can there really be for this decision?
If it gives out taunts that's already a niche some decks would want like handlock.
But its been a long time since a 1/3 on 1 is a cause for celebration. If it had a taunt itself, then itd be OP, but it doesn't so its decent even at best.
Unless you're really jamming that quest rogue with every SI card you see, this is just a no most of the time.
Problem being its statline, and the fact that a card discount is very rarely going to grab an advantage worth the card's inclusion. There's simply better cards than this most of the time.
I wouldn't say this is trash. The pool is so small there's just a decent chance to get what you want. Even the most useless Annoy-o-Tron can truly be god like in the right circumstances.
The only way this sees any play at all is in handlock. And I suspect handlock wouldn't need it because they'd much rather have a stronger turn 4 than turn 3.
That's pretty much it honestly. No deck can realistically collect 8 cards, not even dhunters, just so this card can work.
Spellbreaker died so it can live again as a librarian.
Honestly, this is the one card some midrange decks really need. There's always a target for it, from the ubiquitous Taelan Fordring, to the annoying Lightshower Elemental
Trade it away if its against an irrelevant deck/class. Its just too good.
1 star for the 2+ spell damage. 4 stars because its tradeable.
Maybe in miracle rogue, then you can get out more damage out of your [Hearthstone Card (stab (rank 2)) Not Found]. But mostly you'll just be cycling this along for 1 card.

After the theorycraft stream, my opinion is thus;
Druid, mage, warrior quest are good.
Rogue, hunter , paladin quest are fun but not top tier.
Priest, warlock, dhunter quest are bad. Basically your deck will work better without them.
If its any help just use playhearthstone's deck creator: https://playhearthstone.com/en-us/deckbuilder
The interface is more or less the same. Just copy paste the import code and keep it until the expansion comes out. Its not much, but its something.
If it gives out taunts that's already a niche some decks would want like handlock.

To me its kinda bad.
But if someone were to tell me that its not, I wouldn't be surprised because getting cheaper cards in druid or shaman is literally game winning.
This can be a genuine lol moment because in the pool there's literally Clockwork Giant, Explosive Sheep and Darkmoon Dirigible.
I wouldn't say this is trash. The pool is so small there's just a decent chance to get what you want. Even the most useless Annoy-o-Tron can truly be god like in the right circumstances.
Maybe in rogue? I kinda like it to be honest.
If it didn't have tradeable it'll be hot trash rolling down a hill.
nuff said.
Its for your boars. In nearly every other scenario there's a better card somewhere.
Unless tickatus is literally everywhere there's no reason this card even gets a passing glance.

Its not really good. Dhunters need deathrattles with rush preferably, or they'd just play something like Devouring Ectoplasm instead.
But perhaps, just perhaps we'd see this in rogue. But it's a certain sign of desperation to me.
Spellbreaker died so it can live again as a librarian.

Its not good. One turn later than Defender of Argus. The only niche is that it has taunt so its never a dead card in hand.
But really. Most decks that care about a +1+1 would probably just run defender of argus instead.
