Most of my games against them comes all the way to the end of my deck. A little more value wouldn't hurt, especially for libram pally. Plus, that means you can just go face with your spells since this one essentially gives it back to you.
Ultimately, its still a 3/4 for 3 so even if its not somewhat countering priest, its still decent against aggro.
Its just a nice, flexible removal card that can also make a big minion under right circumstances. Basically this is more beneficial towards druid, where having something that can act as removal would be most useful, and druid has plenty of big spells to work this with.
In most cases however, I see this as more of a card like Siamat, and there's lot of reasons to believe that siamat is just the better card. But I can see this as an inclusion into most druid decks, even spell or quest. Its just flexible enough to make the cut in my opinion.
Looks powerful, but its mostly going into rogue. Maybe highlander mage can use it to get another Malygos, Aspect of Magic but that's basically it.
There's plenty of stuff you can do with this in rogue, especially given that galakrond and togwaggle gives out 0-1 mana cards to take advantage of it. But at the moment, it might just be too expensive and too gimmicky to fit into either class.
Does help out with cards like Jandice Barov, for a massive 10 mana play.
Its all fun and games until Shadow Madness gets it and then all just went to shit.
Mostly viable in rogue, mage, priest, maybe even paladin.
Its a long shot, but this one card can be the bane of every galakrond priest it comes across. Obviously there needs to be way to kill it yourself in such games. Very interesting card, like its other elekk brothers in wild now.
Its actually a viable card to include into most paladin decks at the moment for a decent minion on board that will likely value trade at least once.
Unspectacular at first glance, but this can easily be a 2 mana big minion to help with gaining tempo. Easily dealt with with spells but then again so is nearly all paladin's stuff. If only this had rush it would have been completely broken.
Deal 3 for 2, yes that's very good. Soul frag synergy as well? Well, what else is there to say?
Its just a card thats playable on its own. That it enables busted cards like Soulshard Lapidary means there's little to no reason why this card wouldn't be a vital inclusion in a tier 2 or tier 1 deck.
That's fair. I will hold on to my opinion until I see all the reveal cards. Rapid Fire and Arcane Shot is just not enough in my opinion to make this card good, or even barely playable.
As an additional bonus, this one will never clear the board with Explosive Trap, while Veranus makes it at least a feasible try.
I don't really think this is the ultimate pay off to the soul frags, and to compare this to Blastmaster Boom is to miss the forest for the trees. Blastmaster boom was a card that can finish games on it own, and its not a card used to clear boards. This card however, can do nothing but, and that's probably just not good enough.
But the real kicker is that the other soul frag synergy cards are just too good not to play whenever possible, and since they consume those cards, its somewhat actually negatively affecting this card's effectiveness. There is just no situations I can think of that I would hold on to those better cards just so I can play this card on 7.
A decent 4 damage weapon that curves into Glaivebound Adept. Yes, this is strong even without soul frag synergy.
In fact, ever since warglaives got nerfed, there have been some talk that glaivebound adept is straight up unplayable. This card will deny that possible reality anytime.
Probably just a decent highlander card, where losing early tempo isn't exactly uncommon, so this card can bring it back to you with a minion on board to boot.
3 damage is good. Had this been 2 damage instead it would straight up be unplayable.
Why the hell wouldn't this be playable would be an unsolvable riddle. It does a stupefying 5 damage, leaves a 5/5 on board and all it takes is but soul fragments, which Spirit Jailer and Soul Shear would easily provide, being strong cards on their own right.
Its basically Firelands Portal came early, and on an aggressive class as well. If you could imagine a better Glaivebound Adept, and this would be it.
It has taunt, and its a big demon very reminiscent of Hooked Reaver, and that card was for the most part considered to be a strong inclusion. This one has 1 more health, and tied to a condition that is easily enough to be satisfied. Even if its not a 7/8 its still a decent taunt on 5, which warlock can appreciate.
If soul fragments is the deck, then I can't see why this wouldn't make the inclusion.
The only card that curves into this nicely would be Spirit Jailer and Soul Shear, both very good cards in their own right. Its very strong, but without the effect its basically just another 3/4, which warlock generally does not need.
Will see play because cards like Blackwing Corruptor have in the past prove that 3 damage is nothing to be snuffed at. On the other hand, since you're not likely to cramp all these soul fragment cards into one deck, whether this is good will depend highly on the meta. But I still personally think this is the better of the other lot.
Its yet another AoE for warlock. Cheaper than Hellfire, but doing less damage. Whether this can make it will depend highly on whether the additional soul fragments are worth it, and whether its actually a better meta card than either Dark Skies or crazed [Hearthstone Card (netherwing) Not Found].
Its flexible, can be used early and still be useful late game.
In other words, its nearly auto include into all shaman decks. Marshspawn saw plenty of play, and that card came with a pretty tricky condition. This one comes with no condition and is strictly just better than Marshspawn and Vulpera Scoundrel.
On top of that, this can easily just be a finisher on its own. What more can be found wanting of this card?
its not really that good for hunter. I've always been skeptical about hunter cards that need something else to work, and when the end result is not really that great, I can't see any future for it.
The only place for this currently is in face hunter, which already plays many of the cheap spells to go with this.
Our only hope is that there's some crazy cheap AoE spell for hunter thats not revealed yet. Its rare for team5 to design legendaries without something that will at least make it viable.
If there isn't, then this is just strictly a worse Veranus, which despite the higher cost, is a dragon and allows minion trading for the effect, and minion generation is about the best thing hunter has anyway.
Its very similar to Toxmonger, a card with lots of potential at face value, but ultimately never saw much play in standard.

Might be better to leave this question until we actually see all the cards. Team5 usually leave the best for the final reveal.
Its a 1/3 for 1. That's already good enough in my eyes. Soul frag synergy as well, this card is just too good.
What else is there to comment on? I guess the artwork's a bit weird. That demon looks like a hammer fell on his toe as the camera snapped.

If there was ever a safe craft, this one would be it.
I can't see why any shaman deck wouldn't just play this in their deck. Its basically a more flexible Marshspawn, and already sick card.
Yes, this can't discover Lightning Bloom or any of the totem buffs, but these are only but minor issues, easily dismissed.
Its flexible, can be used early and still be useful late game.

Such is this card, unfortunately.
The only place for this currently is in face hunter, which already plays many of the cheap spells to go with this.
