For that same reason i don't think you could ever print a Sargeras card. It'd have to read something like: "Battlecry: You win the game. Delete your opponent's battlenet account."

Well that's one way to make people play the card.

I think players would be underwhelmed if Archimonde and Kil'jaeden were printed as just big minions with some powerful battlecry.

People were already underwhelmed when Khadgar was printed as a 2 mana 2/2.

First thing's first, when you do find a piece of artwork you use, always save it into your computer. This way you don't need to re-find the image if you need to make a change to a card.

Typically, I just Google Images. Typing "______ fantasy art" you usually does the trick. Sites like Artstation, Deviantart, or Pinterest can provide good artwork to use. In the case of Artstation and Deviantart, you may end saving the name of an artist somewhere so you can use their artwork later. For artworks that more resemble Blizzard creations, blizz-art.com is a good source.

In the event that you find a good piece of artwork you like but you're not ready to use just yet, you can save it in advance so you can use it later.

Personally, I used to have my own argument that Medivh being a hero and a card was not a sign that heroes can be cards because they're both alternate versions of the character and the only thing they have in common is the name, and this same thing would apply to the DK Heroes as well... although now that Khadgar exists as both a card and character that use the same form, pretty much anything is possible at this point. Personally, I really wouldn't want to see any playable heroes make any appearances as cards because it would be really weird for Gul'dan to be playing... Gul'dan, and Team 5 themselves acknowledged this at one point (although since Khadgar, it seems they don't care about this any more), and if they did this, I would prefer they take an approach like the DK Heroes where they are alternate versions of the character.

By the way, I will also put one out for Kael'thas. Therazane is still missing after the other 3 were available for so long, so I'll give one to her as well. I'd love to see a Caverns of Time expansion, although the Taverns of Time seems to put a damper on that ever happening.

I hope this isn't just me

It isn't just you. It's me too. The competitions were basically the only reason I stayed on HearthPwn, as well as reveal season.

Competitions here will be a thing, but the mod team is making sure the essentials are there and running first.

My username here is the same username I use on HearthPwn. I used it for another site, and when I joined HearthPwn, I was too lazy to try to think of a different username, so I just used the same one. I think I might have been trying to be too edgy or something.

I thought demons are cool (this is before I started playing Hearthstone), and the letters x and z are cool letters, and I like the number 95, and that somehow comes together. There really isn't much significance to it at all. 1995 isn't even my birth year, you're off by 4 years.

Although since this is here, there actually IS something I wanted to test, since I noticed the amount of text per line on this site is a little bit longer than on HearthPwn.

On HearthPwn, one line could only hold 3 cards at a size of 200 x 272 (which is slightly different for Legendary cards). This site looks like it can fit 4.

EDIT: It does fit 4! Do you guys have any idea how huge this is? This is amazing.

Would this have support for custom classes too? What about support for custom classes/sets outside of your own?

Hi everyone! Been playing Hearthstone since Naxx, been reading Hearthpwn almost as long. Never made an account before, but figured this was a good time to jump in! Was hoping to do my first post in the Pepper Thread, but can't figure out how to add a screenshot. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

One of the buttons in the post interface has a button that reads "Insert/edit image". Upload your image to an image sharing site (Imgur would probably be the best one), and copy the URL. Click the aforementioned "Insert/edit image" button and paste the URL into the box that reads "Source". You'll know you did it right when the Dimensions numbers come up.

Once you have that done, click the "Ok" button.

I haven't been on Hearthstone so I can't verify, but other people appear to be reporting this bug too.

Does that mean Muck Hunter is now viable? Or The Beast? Or anything that provides tokens to your opponent.

Wisp is not a Mech, but Target Dummy.

    Card with a HearthPwn rank.

It's funny because a few days ago, I was thinking about how an MTG TV series would turn out.

EDIT: I'm not surprised that it's animated seeing as all other TCG-based TV series are all animated, but it would be pretty cool had it been live action.

Agreed. I'm loving this site so far, although there are still a few things they need to add, like Spoilers.

But I know they will add them eventually.

You had to go, did you?

    Not judging. Just sayin'.

I'm tempted to say Crazed Geomancer looks like it could be an Elemental. I also think Gravelpatcher, Slab Cracker, Earthen Stoneshaper, and Crystal Bowrunner could possibly also be Elementals.

As for the economy, or the F2P experience - I don't know, I feel like the game is fairly generous, in that they just give you full decks to play right away, and you earn 3 packs a week for wins, and a number of free random cards every day. I have a whole pile of wild cards that I can use to make any cards I like (always a hoarder) and they have various free events to play for cosmetics or alternate card art. Other events (drafts and such) have to be bought into with gems, which cost money, so I haven't really done anything there (spent $5 on the welcome bundle), so if that's your preferred style or play, or if you only like crafting the top tier decks, maybe it's harder, I don't really know. I can only say I've never felt like I was locked out of anything, or playing at some unfair disadvantage. I play how I like, I experiment, and I'm learning new things all the time.

From my time playing Hearthstone, I've kinda stopped caring about ranks too much. In my early days, I just wanted to rank up as much as I could and when I couldn't do that, it was annoying. Now though, I just learned to stop caring too much about it and just enjoy playing the game. Obviously, ranking up would be nice and I do want to win games, but I've reached the point where I just want to enjoy the game.

How friendly is it to people who aren't very familiar with Magic? I have some knowledge and I know all of the basic rules, but to say I know everything is far from the truth.

At first it looked very complicated, but I've gotten a better hang of it from playing it a little bit, although I still have quite a bit to learn. I have thought of getting MTG:A for myself, although I'm unsure given how mixed the F2P experience feedback has been.

One thing that is slightly annoying is getting land-screwed in both directions, but what can you do? After playing Hearthstone a lot where players don't interact on other player's turns at all (barring Secrets and a few select cards such as Loatheb), I will most likely be slightly thrown off by a lot of Instants. I'm definitely less familiar with MTG than I am with Hearthstone and Yu-Gi-Oh (which I'm starting to lose familiarity there too because of the new Link Summoning mechanic), but it looks like a really neat card game that I'm willing to get more into.
