3 mana Conjurer's Calling is a stupid card that shouldn't exist.

On top of that with twinspell. What were they even thinking when they printed it

That there needs to be more counters to Dr. Boom. Mage is one of the only consistent counters

So can anyone confirm that it was just the rogue quest that was changed and not Sonya? If it was the later I'm going to have to see if my Spectral Pillager deck was broken by changing the interaction (again).

Still "repetitive" is not an argument.

You not agreeing with the argument doesn't make it not an argument. If you want to make *that* case you have to actually substantively address the argument and point out where it's fallacious. The devs have stated ad nauseam that their goal isn't just to keep the game balanced, but also "fresh" "fun" "not stale", etc. By most people's standards that excludes high levels of repetitiveness.

The degree to which T5 feels that the game needs to be fresh vs stale is not something we have inside knowledge of. If the goal was to make it so that wild never has major predictable or stale cards/plays you'd have to either be constantly nerfing past expansion class staples or introducing major power creep that makes the old powerful staples way less desirable compared to new cards. That is not realistic in the slightest.

Again I go back to my Bloodreaver Gul'Dan argument. Unless you're playing an extremely low curve zoolock build, heavily emphasizing low to midrange curved plays and not building for a late game back up plan then there is not a single warlock deck worth its weight that would ever not include the DK. Be it midrange, control, combo, or straight up OTK the DK will always be extremely good as it creates a pseudo-infinite removal system via the hero power, creates value out of thin air and empty boards, and completely strips the drawback of the warlock hero power/self-damaging theme away due to guaranteed healing each turn. And there are plenty more examples, although much less overblown than DKs, that emphasize that removing Genn/Baku for the sake of making the game fresh is laughable because there are already dozens of cards that are so good that they are not going away without being nerfed or deleted.

Lul didn't take that format to fail hard. Not like any of us saw it for the disaster that it was.

T5 there's good reason why many of the most popular streamers with the most views were so successful. They played a variety of decks instead of only hardcoring the single most played deck out there.

    Variety makes or breaks games.

Keep in mind the secret is 0 mana so until a new 0 mana secret is released the secret will never be, well, secret to your opponent. Still decent anti-aggro tool though.

An actual awesome rogue spell? What world is this? I'm actually already beginning to theorycraft various wild meme OTKs with this card!

The one sad thing is that rogue can't have good things and I'm just waiting for this to eventually get nerfed down the road because hey why not rogues aren't allowed to do rogue things.

When the silence is actually a transform effect that more or less destroys the minion you buffed, and doing so for only half the mana? And that Plague of Murlocs is going to be an auto-include for any Control Shaman lists? Yep, i'll say it is bad.

Or I could bring up Sap, which costs even less mana and is run in 2s with every standard rogue list out there worth its weight.

It's cool to get hyped but let's not be blinded by hype for overhyping yet another card.

I'm a wild main, but frequently watch various favorite streamers play in wild, watch tournaments, and hear about other people's experiences. While keeping cards around for *only* 2 years can be good to end the burnout of things like DKs, Tunnel Trogg, Defile, Reno, Aluneth and the like over the years it does make it so that the pool of cards is kept comparatively small, and in that small card pool random effects become less random with mechanics like discover or CCing a minion that barely has any minions in that mana slot.

For example, pretty much every standard player is familiar with the meme of warriors discovering their 7th Omega Devastator or 5th Dyn-o-Matic. Other players have listed mages' ability to very consistently spawn big taunts with almost every CC. Even going back further in the life of standard HS when Ice Block was not HoFed yet it was very common for mages to discover a 'random' 3rd or even 4th Ice Block because again the standard spell pool was so small.

So back to the title, do you feel standard's card pool size does it more harm than good? If you feel it does harm to the format how would you change it?

Honestly, 0 gold since I've moved to a paying player I'm probably just going to buy the $80 bundle next pay check. Although I do have a bit over 8k dust that I don't know what I want to do with yet.

One thing that highly motivates me to deck build are lesser known combos. For me it's much more refreshing to play decks that aren't being played by a large portion of the playerbase already and that most people can't predict will happen in most cases. Also, if I can make a couple of completely different strategies come together, even if it isn't a high win rate tier deck, you can bet I'll often try to do so.

N'Zoth is my favorite old god and was since WotOG first came out. So naturally I love putting it in plenty of decks (most often OTKs). There's just something very satisfying with dropping N'Zoth and spawning a wall of Sludge Belchers & Rotten Applebaums to stall for your big otk finish, especially in classes that generally have poor survivability (like rogue). I usually like start with the skeleton of a deck and then strip away what I'd rather see in it instead. Although, I'll occasionally make something memey and unique to me (such as my N'Zoth Deathrattle / Menagerie Warden OTK Druid).

Tech cards are typically something I play in the few control decks I use, but for the rest of my OTK/combo decks I generally only auto lose to Ice Block so I don't feel too concerned with teching against just one out of the nine classes when I could just roll with more stall/survivability.

I still wish I had done a few ranked games back in the day to get this card back. Jumped into ranked one season too late.

The number of epics and legendaries have not really increased with recent expansions and just because a card is epic or legendary doesn't mean it will be used in any working consistent deck that compels someone to craft it for a smooth ladder climb.

Even the bundles, which actually have increased in price, does not automatically equate to you having to buy them due to the content not being gated behind the paywall.
