Is it weird that the thing I got most out of this was the fact that rare WoW tcg mounts are being made even less exclusive?

Nothing like grinding out millions of gold (pre Garrison farm abuse) to get cool rare mounts just for them to be purchasable via points from other Blizzard games down the road. I mean I stopped playing but with hindsight it is a semi slap in the face to serious collectors who ground out gold for months getting these rare items.

    Just my 2 cents.

I use SS in a Mech Mage build of mine. As was already mentioned cutting out small spells isn't really that big of a deal since the deck is minion based anyway. The spells I use for SS are just burst spells (1 Pyro, 2 Fireland Portals, & 2 Fireballs, which is your only low roll).

These expansions are not enough anymore, we need more content, balance, features, anything.
I was also bored at release day and still am.

Quests are unplayable garbage, people still playing their beloved T1 netdeck with zero new cards included.

Everything can't be playable/viable. You'd have to nerf so many cards to kill decks from expansions that are not part of the new expansion, or nerf a ton of them to knock them down 1+ tier levels and something tells me that you do that sales will take a hit because nobody wants a third to half of their collection that they bought with real money to be nerfed (let alone to allow new cards that they are supposed to spend more real money on can replace their previously bought cards)

Played WoW for over 10 years with no breaks in between (outside of the occasional computer dying & needing to be replaced). I was a major mount/title/ach/transmog collector with close to or a little over 300 mounts by the time I quit in early WoD (with almost all tcg mounts, rbg, mounts, many 1% raid and dungeon drop mounts, etc).

    Good times :)

If zilliax is a must i dont see why Siamat isnt

Siamat is 2 mana more than Zilliax, making it more appropriate to answer 1-2 midrange threats as opposed to spending so much mana to clear 1-2 hyper aggressive threats (especially against wide/token-based boards). Zilliax also addresses direct healing against burn decks/finishers, particularly when used by decks without ample amounts of healing/armor. Zilliax always also left a taunt behind (albeit a small one), which Siamat doesn't do if used aggressively like Zilliax.

Against midrange decks that start snowballing between turns 5-9 Siamat is great. For aggro decks that snowball between turns 1-5 Siamat is a pretty meh neutral version of Godfrey that doesn't even clear that much of the board.

Honestly it sounds like you are burnt out on the game and you need a break. I saw this plenty of times during over 10 years of playing WoW and that game had much more content than Hearthstone. When you reach a point where you are burnt out most other ideas to fix it that do not include a temporary break just delays getting burnt out on the game yet again. Switch to a different game or just break from video games in general and come back at a later time. Sometimes time away is just what you need.

It was a seriously bad choice before Anka was a thing and it hasn't changed since then. Played against another rogue player who used it and all you accomplish is performing a double-edged hack slash to your own win condition as well. Unless you, by some miracle, draw only cheap spells (That aren't cycle spells) then you conceded the game by making it so that you have to spend all of those other cards while taking fatigue before you can win.

Not every player gets the bundle or saves up gold for every expansion guys. Day one decks are not for everyone.

I can understand players not buying the bundles (I used to be f2p for years before transitioning to a paying customer), but not saving up gold? That's just lazy and on the fault of the players who don't save and/or complete their dailies

I've actually posted about this before recently. Yes Blizzard did do a stealth hotfix that wasn't announced during any patch notes. For years Emperor would reduce the cost of minions in the hand and if you played Summoning Portal later on a 3 mana minion (reduced to 2 mana in your hand) would then go from 2 mana to 0 mana. The cards always interacted like this, but in the last few weeks they hotfixed it without any news so that now that same discounted minion will only go down to 1 mana in your hand now.

I'm going to be rolling with Reno Rogue since I've already been using it, but the double Zephrys the Great due to Valeera the Hollow's effect sounds pretty sweet as well. Reno Hunter has been pretty fun in the past, but some form of Reno Warrior might be interesting as well.

big priest dodges the nerf hammer one more time.

no reason to play hearthstone anymore.

how the fuck do you guys not want to put a gun to your head constantly after play hearthstone??

its just utterly insane how well everyone else draws vs me.

Plague of Murlocs is actually a massive nerf to the deck and I'm really excited for all of the highlights or salt posts from Big Priest players due to that card alone. However, T5 did allegedly say that would look at the deck again (Barnes particularly) sometime post SOU launch if needed (which should still be taken as a salty grain of salt).

Can I say that I strangely look forward to the variety of salt posts that will come as a result of Zephrys the Great? The crusade against HS rng will never have been greater since pre-nerf Yogg. I'm quite excited! :D

Love the flavor of the deck and work you clearly put into both it and the guide. Keep it up, I'll definitely have to try it later!

Thank you for the deck highlight! I also love seeing what everyone else has been experimenting with too.

Also, shout out to MalcomReynolds for catching that my warlock deck actually doesn't need the Summoning Portal anymore. I honestly didn't notice it wasn't needed anymore after making changing post Summoning Portal stealth hotfix.

Btw, in lieu of Plague of Murlocs incoming soon I have to smile to also see non-shaman decks popping up to curbstomp Big Priest ;)

Good catch! It was an oversight by me, my bad. Prior to Summoning Portal getting stealth nerfed a few weeks ago I only used Emperor Thaurissan and not the Drakkari Enchanter, but after the nerf even having a tick of Emperor on every combo piece was no longer enough so that was when I added Drakkari.

You are absolutely right though about not needing the portal. Must have been on auto pilot and not doing my basic head math right when adding the Drakkari in the later version xD

I will replace the portal and update the guide later today or tomorrow when I get the time :)

Why does creating my own unlisted event never work? Like with all of the other pre-launch pack openings before I've tried to create my own unlisted event, following the time restrictions & filling out an address, marking it as unlisted, etc and yet again get greeted with a 404 error after submitting the event.

Plague of Murlocs alone makes me happy at the thought of grown women/men raging after getting their Big Priest decks steamrolled by that one card.

Bit concerning that, despite being effectively nerfed, no dust refund is given for The Caverns Below

Second time they pulled the "Oh, it's not a nerf, it's a fix, which makes this entirely different!" schpiel.

I strongly agree. I find it quite concerning that the big man upstairs is doing their best to fix (break) cards and phrase it in such a way that they don't even have to offer 'free' dust by axing the card. I think that this is setting the precedent for how they are going to approach cards/decks in the future.

"Oh, such and such card was never intended to interact like that to begin with so we really aren't nerfing anything we're just fixing an interaction we coyly side glanced at and later on decided to nerf while also not giving players dust to potentially swap the card for a similar card of the same rarity. Giving out free dust destroys our profit and business model afterall."
