Azure Drake minus the spell damage in exchange for +1/+1 in stats. Plus it’s a dragon. Probably an unspectacular but solid card for all dragon decks.

Probably bad. People are heralding this as the death of Control Warrior or slow Druids but think about it. If you are playing an aggro deck, you want to be attacking every turn so the Warrior/Druid shouldn’t be accumulating armor in the first place. If you are playing a slower deck, the armor might build up, but you won’t be hitting the health “underneath”. The only deck that will really want this card (maybe) is a combo deck that has a large but finite amount of damage that it wants to use to chunk a Warrior/Druid to death in one go. Otherwise you’re running a 5 mana 5/5 with no synergies that is useless against 7 of 9 classes. This is looking to be another tech card to “futureproof” any armor shenanigans that emerge in later expansions.

No seriously, how is “Evasive” not a keyword yet? Blizzard is literally using it to describe multiple cards this expansion.

Doomsayer-lite. Possibly valuable since it can come out a turn earlier.

Kinda awkward as it falls into the category of 2-drop that you don’t really want to play as a 2-drop and very low tempo if you try to get greedy with it by targeting an 8- or 9-cost dragon. Probably better in the midgame on a medium sized “workhorse” dragon.

I’m sure people will tech this card in trying to disable highlander style effects but unless you run two of them, you draw both, play both and they both die, you probably won’t be able to reliably disable those cards.

It’s a Pirate with all the synergies that brings. It equips you a weapon for free. It’s a fantastic card for any Pirate deck and absolute trash for anyone else.

Accounting for the three 1-cost minions it summons, this is probably closer to a 4 mana 3/6 or 3/5 in terms of stats. Probably too weak to use as a straight-up taunt and too risky to use as a defensive tool against aggro or token decks. Looks to be a very niche tech card for Priest’s resurrection effects.

A fantastic card that will trade favorably or evenly with most of the dragons in the game. Assuming dragons become popular, you’ll see a lot of this card.

There’s quite a few new 1-cost spells, including all the Sidequests. Rogue and Mage stand out though, with Rogue being able to make Legendary minions from Dragon’s Hoard and Mage having access to Chenvaala.

A very strong card. Fits into token or aggro decks that want to blow through a taunt. Can even fit into midrange or control decks by converting an already damaged minion into a useless Rush attacker.

Does too little for its cost just as a draw. Needs to hit a Dragon to be worthwhile. Doubt it will see play.

Yet another bizarrely specific tech card, this time to defuse Bombs and Bloods that get shuffled into your deck. You could also convert all your Neutral minions into random class cards but why would you put those Neutral cards into your deck if not to play them?

A very silly card. Possibly amusing with Plot Twist to get a bunch of Legendary minions at once. Probably not worth running at all because of how expensive and clunky your draws will become.

Like Blowtorch Saboteur, this seems like a hyper-specific tech card. Not sure why it was printed. Maybe some funny cheese strats for a future Adventure or Tavern Brawl?

Awful card. Not sure why this was printed unless it was meant to be a hedge against Galakrond’s hero power. If that was the intention then it is still awful.

Meme-worthy card. Obvious synergy with anything that shuffles more copies into your deck like Dire Frenzy or generates copies on board. Probably too hard to pull off consistently but someone will do it.

Way too expensive for way too delayed of a payoff. It’s understandable why it is costed the way it is though since the high-roll potential is strong. Occupies that awkward space of “too expensive to be good, but any cheaper and it would be OP”.

An interesting pseudo-anti-aggro card. Play this and draw an expensive AoE, set its cost to 2 or 1 mana because it switched costs with your opponent’s small minion’s cost. Or if you are playing a slower, greedier deck, get a meaningful discount to win back tempo later. Probably ultimately too inconsistent to see play in the long run.

Probably too weak to use, even as a tech card. If your opponent is running weapons, then the probably have multiple weapons and won’t mind losing one to Stickyfinger. Maybe you can try to steal a Kingsbane or an Aluneth but that’s probably too optimistic.
