Having your entire deck revolve around 1 expensive card had been historically bad

Not only from a winrate perspective but from a tournament perspective as well.

So we have 45% pro deck

We have a 49% ambush deck

And we have a 51% nekko meme deck

Thats not really impressive so much as it is absolutely terrible failing 3 times in a row

See the thing is this deck can't out aggro fizz Samara it can't out aggro midrange LeBlanc so what exactly is it doing? Beside meme tutoring elusive neco sometimes but not all the time?

Like really this is the elite tutor deck it tutors jarvan, it tutors garen, and it tutors neko and then it rallies. Everything else it does doesn't matter.

So we have another case of deny or bust deck building with 0 counter play options.

It's not like Ionia got massively buffed in this patch or anything so relying on a 9 mana card or a 6 mana challenger is bad

Every pre-release list is bad and has a sub 50% winrate don't use them

Use my ambush list in standard it's generally superior or run poro king in eternal where you have braum support troll chant etc

I even got standard poros figured out

3 yumis, 3 purifying flame, 3 hush let's you guarantee elusive dmg and let's you react to all in strategies

Yeah most effective standard decks right now are just beater decks

Now if you go all in on one body like that you're basically praying no hard removal which is why I stay away from the format generally speaking

You cant pull that garbage on eternal ladder, but there are no standard control decks right now

Natalie is a standard terror, she generates free lazers like lux and is easy to level and can provide massive overwhelm dmg with buffs

But not only that she synergies well with vulnerable in her own kit while in quick attack mode, you factor in the ease and flexibility of maining 3 creature denies and you've got the makings of an absolute terror for this limited format

Poro king is gonna be great in eternal but can be flex swapped for standard playability. In eternal you run braum, troll chant, spirits unleashed and in standard its pale cascade, yumi, and purifying flames.

Either way leaning heavy into elusive poro, and overwhelm poro is the way to go and sled is gonna be your big beef, with lots of little dudes and chaff to trade off

So there ya go two very competitive standard and eternal decks day 1 by the master memer aka the eternal king aka nifty the forgotten

Don't Natalie unless you can turbo her level up and with poro king it's kind of thr opposite

His level up doesn't really matter, like I know the first theory crafted list was like run alllll the poro 1 drops to turbo king but it's like great you got a 1 mana reduction in snacks....who cares just take normal snacks generation it's fine and play a better value version

Now if poro kings text read all your snax become special snax that might be worth the turbo. You aurora porialis for 6 and it's boom 2 special snax because you leveled poro king even on his death but just 1 special snax each turn? Seems kinda win more idk or don't win at all because both you and your opponent are 6 creatures deep on board.

I think there might be a valid argument that standard is starting to get power crept a little

For me that's fine makes the format worth playing for me personally

But if all you wanted to do was jam cost efficient followers at that 4-5 mana range

Standard may have already started moving past that

Turn 3 concede on my ambush deck all because I made the dreaded bush into 2/2 3/1 play. To be honest tho that is nuts it's like do you have a 3/2 to block? No then lose game cuz mystic shot doesn't exist rofl!!!

I am speaking of pakaa cub, so basically because it costs two to summon Bush and paka has a ambush cost of 1 paka isnt 3 mana he's two and a half mana because spell mana counts for half.

That with his swing potential of 5/3 stats on two across two bodies makes him a nightmare
