They should just unnerf and HoF everything. I'm not salty about Big Priest, but you can't deny that it's powerful. Unnerfed anything would be no more powerful than how Big Priest already is and enable people to play some of their favorite decks from the past. A lot of these cards are literally seeing no play since their nerfs, so they serve no purpose sitting around in standard
I wrote a guide on how to buy from Mexico on HP. I haven't used it this expansion, but has worked for me and most users for previous ones. Hope it helps
Select your old google wallet with your home country. Scroll to the bottom of the settings menu to delete it
Add your card to the Mexico wallet. Make sure to put your real billing address, not a fake one
Open HS on your android or android emulator, such as Nox
Your system may still display the wrong/old price but tap to buy a bundle anyway. Don't worry, you won't actually buy anything until after a few more confirmation screens
HS will connect to google play for payment. It should display the cost for Mexico, but sometimes converted to a different currency. From here, make your purchase normally
If you get the error "your payment cannot be completed", contact Google and your bank to let them know your accounts haven't been commandeered by a Russian hacker
If Google tells you there is a "currency missmatch" and your bank tells you there are no charges, wait to contact Google again later and hope for a more lax representative. There have been several instances where people have run into this situation and resolved it by simply hitting different Google reps
Profit. Also enjoy cheaper prices on everything else in the play store too!
The "A"s of FAQ
No VPN or spoofing required at any time. Using these may actually cause problems
Does not work with PayPal or iOS
Does work with emulators. In fact, if the above guide doesn't work, I recommend doing the steps again from 6 onwards with Nox
Does not work with Argentina because they are region-locked. Mexico and Russia have been confirmed to work, the others are untested. Feel free to try the rest of them
Tested on all servers except China
If you don't have a google wallet account, just skip the delete your profile part
If you already have a google account, making a new one (rather than a new google wallet) has been reported to interfere with the payment process
You can delete your Mexican google wallet after this is done and make yourself your old account back. Personally, I'm keeping it Mexican for the better play store deals though
You can potentially get two drustvar horrors, each of which can cast their double spells twice. There are some spell combinations that can just autowin the game, like [token generator] + The Storm Bringer, and now you get two rolls for it, not to mention two rolls on the horror itself. If you can afford to pay 9 mana for a 5/5 then Swamp Queen + quest will probably win the game.
Dude, Hagatha the 7 mana 5/5 is too slow to play in any competitive shaman right now, including control ones. Make it cost +2 with the hero power and it's even worse
What deck is going to let you pass a 9 mana turn? Control warrior? They can just brawl your storm bringer board while you draw bombs
This is the equivalent of saying Tak Nozwhisker is broken with Academic Espionage. You can spend your entire turn getting insane value but it doesn't really matter when even the slowest of opponents is going to punish your for it
Yeah, it's nuts until you realize you can only have one hero power at once LUL
I don't know about this one. Unlike the other two revealed, this one is very easy to finish (lackey generators are 2 procs) but the reward seems useless in the current meta. What are you going to do? Clear the path face for 4 like a rogue does? You don't have the tempo tools to get in early chip damage like they do. You don't have value oriented battlecries like they do
Unless they print some insane battlecries, Hagatha is just better and unlike this quest is actually an important synergy with shudderwok
IMO, it's not that hard to tell between a useless card and a card that is currently unplayed but has potential
Any card that is currently seeing play, or historically saw play shouldn't be dusted, even if you don't like the deck it's in (Leeroy, Harrison, Dr Boom, Scargil). There's a couple reasons for this
Powerful cards are more likely to get hall of famed or nerfed
Cards powerful enough to see play in one deck at some point are likely to be powerful enough to show up in other decks (eg. Leeroy was historically in a few combo decks and also renolock)
Any unplayed card with unique but synergistic or conditional effects should be kept (Hadronox, Raza, Krag'wa, Hir'eek, Commander Rhyssa, Kangor's army). If cards are printed that facilitate those conditions and synergies, it can become playable
Any unplayed card with unique/powerful effects but is currently in a dead class/archetype should be kept (Fel Lord Betrug, Arch-Villain Rafaam). Controlock just needs to stop sucking, in these cases
Any unplayed card with basic, replaceable effects and no synergy is an easy dust (Griftah, Gral, Illidan, Toki)... unless you never dust legendaries so you don't open them again, of course
I think it's super underrated. It's literally just pre-nerfed Yogg since he's always killing himself anyway. The only thing holding it back is the fact that it's a mage spell. Yogg was classically played in druid because Yogg cleared complex boards pretty consistently and druids can't do that. Mages can clear boards reasonably well, so there's no reason to run this... unless they print some synergy
Of course, that won't stop this card from winning games in tournament settings because of random generation. Maybe it'll see a nerf due to people getting upset over that
I don't know about that. Regular beast hunter is more or less a control deck already, able to fatigue out warriors with dire frenzy (in that matchup, warrior is the aggressor, trying to kill you with bombs)
Unlike beast hunter, this can't run call of the wild, which is a key card. Having your hero card in a timely manner is key in any control deck and efficient draw helps with that. It also fetches your scalehides for your dire frenzys (or dire frenzied scalehides). We're sacrificing call for ... half a missile launcher package and some mediocre healing? Why not just have scalehide more consistently and heal through those? Why not clear through buffed lynx and rhinos? They are not so bad
All things considered, I suspect this deck might be worse at controling as hunter than beast hunter
In any case, I don't have Zul'jin, so I can't test it out, but if I were to make changes without turning it into beast hunter...
Thalnos isn't convenient with marked shot and while arcane shot + Thalnos is nice vs rogue, it has little targets outside of rogue, and arcane shot without Thalnos doesn't line up well in the current meta (mages aren't tempoing out their key cards against a hunter). The 1 mana deal 1 twinspell is a consideration, but like I said dealing 2 isn't good in the meta. Wing blast is also a consideration, but we're not good a killing 1 thing to activate
Missile launcher + venomizer should be 2 ofs (either that or 0 ofs because consistency). We're sacrificing a lot for them, so we better make use of them
Nine lives looks very mediocre because we're not running deathrattles worth 3 mana. Maybe cut 9 lives, or replace deadly shots and hunter's mark with spider bombs?
Dump applebaum because it's weak and we already have healing
Add houndmaster shaw because he's OP
Animal companion and secret plan are good cards with the hero that I'd love to run, but can't find space for
This is all assuming missile launcher + venomizer combo isn't too slow (it's 8 mana!). The strength of the combo in mech hunter comes from the fact that you can set it up preemptively by magnetizing half the combo on a sticky mech or discounting them with galvinizer
If the above is the case, maybe this mech/beast hybrid concept is better as a faster tempo deck rather than a control/value deck
Edit: watching the video now and holy shit, I knew controlock was bad but I didn't know it was that bad!
As far as the overall concept; it's China. China has a VERY different culture from the West and now the big money comes from them instead of us. Expect this to be a normal thing to expect now.
I'm Chinese and believe me, this has nothing to do with our culture. Chinese players aren't getting offended, it's Winnie the Pooh and the Chinese government who are babyRaging about the art
I see here some debate over whether people were "offended" by overly sexualized artwork, but I think that misses the point. There is way too much sexualization and objectification of women in art and culture today, and video games are (I'm pretty sure) among the worst offenders. Since these games are played by a lot of young people, and certainly more males than females, they can't help but feed toxic masculinity with this type of art. It's not about what statement it makes, it's just about having these images be commonplace and acceptable. I applaud Blizzard for making these adjustments. As others have noted, there are many more potential candidates (Aviana, etc.).
If you're upset about content changes (a Felstalker and a Succubus are not the same thing), I agree with you. However, ask yourself how important these details are compared to everything else that makes the game great.
I think the bloodshed argument is more straightforward. Are many of us okay with or even fond of the graphic detail in some of the art? Sure. Do we need this to enjoy the game? Certainly not.
You know what's really offensive? The fact that women are apparently not allowed to wear anything "revealing" in modern society anymore. The only statement I'm getting from these changes is that women should watch what they wear, lest they arouse or corrupt random men. Meanwhile, men can wear whatever the fuck they like
What women wear shouldn't be about nor dictated by what men think. Women looking gorgeous should be about themselves; it's a celebration of the female body (just like how all the sculpted bare abs are a celebration of the male body), yet here we are being told it's not acceptable
Deck is has quite a few small minions (and not even vital ones) which leads me to believe prismatic lens might not be the main focus of the deck. On the other hand "mountseller paladin" isn't a defining enough theme to build around by itself, so I'm just going to go with the lens theme. Filling the board with a mountseller isn't very good anyway; those boards are answered by the same things that answer a mage's giant board, and those are popular right now. Removed mountseller. Removed Sea Giants because the deck doesn't go wide
Far too many secrets in the deck. Some of them have negative synergy with one another. Removed a bunch of them. Added Repentance because mage. Removed Sunreaver Spy because those don't even see play in normal secret paladin. Also messes with the lens. Bellringer dudes stay because they're decent and draw cards
Added Duel! as an experiment... we're playing big minions anyway. May as well double dip the same build-around restrictions. Hopefully I don't run into many mages lol
This deck has little early development options and is extremely inconsistent in the early game. Blessing of might and ring the bells goes in decks that have board consistently. Since making the early game consistent is impossible with the lens synergy, I've removed the buffs. Put blessing of might back because of synergy with Zilliax, royal guards and eggs
Result
This is something that can output constant, sticky, threatening boards in the lategame but I'm still having a lot of issues surviving to that point. Paladin spells really suck as control tools without small minions like wild pyromancer in the mix. Paladin isn't warrior or priest, whose spells are good enough to keep you alive without the help of minions ... nor is it hunter or druid, who can summon minions through spells
Duel! is pretty cool, but it turns out it's not so good because literally everyone is better at cleaning up a single big thing than you. Robosaur highrolls are getting cleaned up without much consequence but I'm stuck dealing with anything that doesn't die to a duel
I've added too many big spells to get the lens highroll off consistently. Having no answer to giants in the current meta sounds like a bad idea though. I don't know how to slim down the spells without making the deck worse against such things and aggro
Moving forward
removing duels enable us to play things that would suck to get from lens, but won't lose us the game if dueled
-duel!; +wild pyromancers, +equality
Could revamp the big things package with cards like big bad archmage and ysera instead of mechs or oondasta and bears
IMO, this would work a lot better on decks that Firebat didn't select. I feel like that even if I didn't look at the video, I would make a lot of the same changes as he did on my own because they are just good changes. It's hard to come up with stuff that's both good but not done already
Maybe look at the submission tweet and pick something you like from there instead?
I only crafted golden Archbishop Benedictus, though it had less to do with really fucking loving Hemet Razakus priest but more to do with happening to need a copy of Benedictus and the fact that shuffling 20+ golden cards into my deck was pretty good value
I haven't made one because I like a card or deck yet. I mean, if I like a deck, I should have a plain copy already and crafting a new copy feels bad. Most good legendaries spend their time in hand and don't generate more golden cards either
No need to overthink it. Historically, non-zoo warlocks have been unplayable whenever there is not enough good healing options available in rotation (the last time this happened was Un'Goro). Zilliax is not enough and the other healing cards are too weak. Face damage is inevitable because the point is to tap yourself down. This weakness is compounded by the amount of burn-based decks in the meta right now such as bomb hunter and bomb warrior
Lack of healing and presence of burst is also what's making Jaraxxus bad. 15 health is 3 bombs. Or 2 bombs and a few weapon swings. Or 1 bomb and not keeping the board completely clear at all times.
Still, warlock isn't lacking in threats. At minimum, warlocks will always have mountain giant, twilight drake and the occasional ancient watcher package. It's not as OP as mage highrolls right now, but the hero power would ensure a more consistent steam of threats and board refills after answers
The board clear situation is 3.6 roentgen, not great but not terrible either. Defile spoiled us. We shouldn't compare our board clears with one of the best clears ever printed. Lord Godfrey still exists. Shriek and Hellfire are pretty bad right now because, again, there is no good healing in rotation (Hellfire deals 3 to face and Shriek is something like "1 mana, deal 2 to minions and your face", since it "costs" a tap)
I think, yeah, the bundle is worth the money. If I were you, I would definitely buy it. 56 packs for 35$ sounds like a good deal.
Warning! The first-legendary-in-the-first-10-packs rule DOESN'T apply, if you already have opened some packs from a specific set. Since you started playing since Naxx, you would have probably purchased GvG, TGT and/or WotoG/MSoG with gold and thus you won't get a guaranteed legendary in those 8 packs. I don't know when you stopped playing hs, but if there are some wild sets, which you haven't purchased yet, you would get a legendary 80% of the time there.
This is not true. The 10 packs rule does apply as long as you have not bought these wild packs after the rule was implemented. Opening packs before the rule does not trigger the timer. I've purchased 15 packs from each rotated set after the 10 packs rule was announced and had legendaries within the first 10 packs each time. I believe there is a pack opening thread on HP for people doing the same but I'm too lazy to dig it up. It was something to the tune of "post your 10 pack legendaries from each wild expansion". I was so hyped to play with my new Blingtron :P
Of course 8 is less than 10, so the point might be moot anyway. Maybe all your legendaries will be in the 9th and 10th packs

You can't rat, you can't giest, can't saboteur, can't dead man's hand, can't hecklebot so you auto lose to any infinite value, mill or OTK decks
Big priest is big priest. Even the fast decks have tons of big threats like giants that you won't have enough removal for because you can't play execute or omega devastator
The odd hero power was good when it was standard because it counters burn based decks, which don't really exist in wild right now. IMO, you're just sacrificing your chances to win against real meta decks in order to better your matchup against things that don't exist. Non-odd control warrior is better and I've had modest success with it last season
This is just plain wrong. The meta is currently extremely aggressive with odd paladin, odd rogue and even shaman being the top decks. Mostly because people hate losing against big priest (and I definitely can't blame them). Odd warrior absolutely thrives in such a meta, even more so if big priest wasn't a thing but that can be teched against.
You don't need combo disruptors when combo decks aren't a thing. They get absolutely blown away by aggro decks.
You also don't need execute or omega devastator. With Shield Slam, Supercollider and all the armor in the world to tank the hits big threats aren't much of an issue.
The only problem is jade druid. But I'd gladly take one tough matchup (which is quite rare because jade druid stands little to no chance against big priest) while winning against all the top decks out there.
Odd paladin and even shaman aren't aggressive decks. They're just midrange board decks and they don't hurt you if you keep the board clean enough, which you can do much easier with a full card pool, they're not a threat
Like I said, the hero power is good against burn-based decks and they're not a thing in wild. Odd rogue is the only exception, and a very good deck, but it's also very rare for some reason. Maybe people don't want to re-craft Patches
Combo druids are reasonably common where I'm at currently (R4 EU) and unlike Jade druid, they have the potential for a good matchup vs Big Priest because they can proactively win the game at some point, making the poison seeds and naturalize stall actually useful
Funny side-note. I've gone to the site a few times to compare forum activity and Out of Cards on multiple occasions has had more recent discussion. You'll see the most recent 4 threads on Pwn be made within the past 3 hours where Out of Cards had 5 posts within an hour.
Deck discussion is definitely a bit more active there than here, but we're just getting things started so I think its okay.
Our activity in the forums is higher but their decklists have more views by order of magnitudes when compared to lists on this site with similar age
Makes a lot of sense, since people who mostly used the HP forums would have heard the news while those who use the site as a decklist host won't care/know about the change
You can't rat, you can't giest, can't saboteur, can't dead man's hand, can't hecklebot so you auto lose to any infinite value, mill or OTK decks

But if you really must play odd warrior, I wouldn't recommend teching any cards against fatigue. The best you can do is add in 10 or so bad cards but any good deck that will let you hit fatigue in the first place will have the ability to add a lot more than just 10 (or just kill you), meaning you still lose. Better to accept the auto loss to such decks and save card slots for more winnable matchups. Control warlock is super rare and not work teching for. They can get lucky and pull your tech card anyway
It's brawl only for sure. Maybe the reports were unclear, but this bug only occurs when you make an invalid brawl deck and try to play with it. It isn't a bug with the "autocomplete" deck function that's implemented in the game
For example, you save a brawl deck with 10/30 cards and push play. The game will automatically add the remaining 20 cards for you and it won't follow the rules
