Happy birthday! So glad to be part of this amazing team and project!
I know you’ve mentioned me as part of the Yu-Gi-Oh side of the site, but I probably wouldn’t be here without Mythgard. Hopefully that game makes a nice comeback in the near future. Also looking forward to the OutOfGames side of things, and well as the merch store with the- Whoops! Almost slipped!
They're pretty fun! And can splashed in a bunch of stuff. Fun fact, the discard effect isn't once per turn, and most people don't know that, so they waste Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring on it, and you can just retry the discard immediately after. It's really funny!
They're also in the same Secret Pack as the Kaijus.
Probably for balancing reasons. Dragons are one of the best Types in the game, so they probably don't want that support to leak into certain archetypes.
Thanks! Yeah, Dark Magician is iconic, but consider: Dragons!
I also think Joey and Kaiba are more fun characters. Don't get me wrong, Yugi and Atem are great, but they're up against someone crazy enough to play a luck based deck (and who usually wins with it) and mr. "If there are aliens out there, let's teach them how to duel".
Followed the feedback and came up with this guy. Keeping the Sunken effect, but the Colossal effect has been replace with a "minions that cost 7+" one. The only colossal that can't be summoned is Crabatoa. Also made it Epic, see how it's received.

BasilAnguis: I like it, simple, but effective design. Great if you can kill it the turn it's summoned, like with a Rancor, or in a Warlock deck.
Wailor: Yogg'Siren simply because of the name. The others aren't bad either.
ChickyChick: So Grotesmal would give you 5 options for dredge? Not sure how the UI would work if you have more than 2 tentacles. Either way, I like the Herald the most.
Alfi: The shuffle effect is basically meaningless unless you Dredged, or you played Lorekeeper Polkelt before, Ambassador Faelin, or Sir Finley, Sea Guide, in all the cases the card being anti-synergistic (except for maybe Finley). Also, you can't really interact with the game after the turn ends.
The unofficial re-release aside, I was really hoping someone would pick up this style of game. Aside from PvP, I could see this working as a roguelike deckbuilder, a co-op game, or a sort of 8-player king of the hill game.
I just noticed this is the 4th Herald in the mini-set, and they're all Nagas. Wondering what they're heralding. HMMM...
Big Paladin is gonna love that spell!

I guess it could be pretty nuts with Dun Baldar Bridge. Or it's just garbage :P
Glad to hear it! They're a bit of a pain to set up, but if makes things easier to digest, it's well worth the effort.
Should be, yeah. The expansion comes out on Wednesday, so tomorrow we'll likely get patch notes.
It has turns, you just take them at the same time as your opponent. Watch the Walkthrough, it explains it very well.
People tended to make Illaoi a Deep card when making custom cards. But no, let's add ANOTHER keyword, LoR doesn't really have enough!
Don't know how Amass performed, but it might be decent in LoR. We'll have to see.
Shhhh! You saw nothing! (but thanks for pointing it out)
Yeah, between this and
, the archetype is getting some neat healing back.
It's a really interesting idea, but I feel they could've done something while the voting happened. Still, looking forward to see them refine the idea.
Glad to be of service! Hopefully Konami listens to what people write in there.

Let's get ready to ruuuuuuumble!

Well, there is Duel Masters Play... If you can read Japanese.
I, too, wish DM would make a return. If this article does well, it's one of the games I wish to cover like I did here with Chronicle.
First of all, they're Japanese, not Chinese. BIG difference.
Second, if you're going to concede before you even see if your opponent will make you go first or second, it only seems fair that it counts as a loss.
