Thijs' reveal was supposed to be about an hour and 45 minutes before this article went up. However, instead of revealing it, he said something along the lines of "we'll show this card after the first round of the tournament" (this all happened on his Twitch rivals stream) and just didn't show the card at all. He even teased us with the envelope containing the card. And like I said in the comment, there was a 30 minute gap where the card could've easily been revealed.
HUGE display of unprofessionalism from Thijs over here. Making people wait an hour and 40 minutes for the card just so that they'd watch his e-sports event. And it's not like there was no better spot to put this in, there was a 30 minute gap before when the card was supposed to be revealed and when the first game started. I sincerely hope Blizzard won't give him another card to reveal after that stunt, but I'm not holding my breath.
That said, the card is pretty neat, but it's gonna be a real annoyance to play against.
Google Lens translates it as "In each turn, for every three minions you play, the third minion costs (0) mana.", which is a roundabout way of saying the effect we wrote on the card. We'll just have to wait and see.
Ooo, look at mr. Altimor here, with his own special pets! Are regular Animal Companions not good enough for you, YE PRICK?! (I may have been watching too much Zero Punctuation)
Card looks great flavor-wise, but I feel the Infuse cost is a little high, especially if you don't get the card early.
Ok, I disliked the location borders because of how hard it is to tell what card it belongs to, but REALLY HATE the Golden version. Hopefully it's a temporary thing.
All good points. Honestly, I glossed over most of their explanations (why doesn't this word have an 'i' in the first half?), because there were sooooo many cards, and I started writing the article pretty late my time, so I wanted to be quick about it. I also don't play play the game at all, most of my exposure to it is trough Mogwai, so I wouldn't know how any QoL changes affect the game, but I probably should've mentioned them.
I moved some cards to "sidegrades" if they had changes that went in both directions, even if it leaned in one more than the other. The only one I made a buff is Chief Nakotak, since its effect is far more important than its stats.
Agree about the gameplay changes. Even if they make some cards stronger or weaker, they should've had their own section in hindsight.
We don't usually cover bug fixes in these articles, so I kinda ignored them. Same for Path of Champions. If you're talking about the new cosmetic stuff, stay tuned!
Flux has been busy with managerial stuff lately, and he's the one usually doing the patch notes. I'm the one who's covered notes previously (like once, lol), but I was also otherwise occupied with things when the patch dropped.
Yeah, that’s a fair point. I’ve watched a few youtubers play with him, and I usually forget he’s in the deck. Once your hero takes damage, you don’t even register the higher-than-normal health. The only exception is if the hero goes below 10 Health, I think “You’d/I’d be dead right now if it wasn’t for Ren”.
BasilAnguis: Cauterize and Blazing Speed are my favorites, in that order, though I'm not sure if the latter breaks the rules. Probably not, since it doesn't destroy it itself.
BloodMefist: I like Discolock support, and Burn Bright is an interesting one. You pretty much need a good top-deck to make the use of discard synergies. Magic Candle is illegal, no Mage or Shaman cards.
Been a while since I took part in a comp! Here's my first idea:
A way for Weapon Warrior to have better consistency and survivability, while also giving Rogue some 'healing'. There's a normal version a Studies version.

Wailor: Not 100% on the flavor. Is the campfire in your hand?
Demonxz95: Enchantment is pretty scary, Rogue can play a lot of cards in a turn. Tame the Flame and Deep Burn are interesting, I think I like the former better.
linkblade91: I think I like the Snowball better. Don't think it needs Taunt, since it has immediate impact with Rush as is. The wording on the first version is better either way.
BasilAnguis: I think I like Heating Up! the most out of the bunch. Makes cards like Fireball more control-centric instead of smorcers. Too bad it's forbidden, sorry.

RANT TIME!

On the one hand, the board space is gonna be an issue. On the other, minions tend to be more high-impact than spells, especially legendary ones.

Fun fact: I actually got a 1-to-1 translation of this card before we found an English version. Pretty proud of myself.
Not much for this card to synergize with in standard, aside from Jeklik. Someone give Gul'dan a Hand.
Why did Blizzard print this? Priest is already the most hated class, it didn't need this to go lower.

It likely upgrades the cost, because A) It says "two" instead of having a number and B) it's similar to Skull of Gul'dan.
Maybe, if there's a card that says "Silence a location". All Silence cards so far specify minions.

Otherwise, the set looks like it'll be fun!

Redid the card according to feedback.

Wailor: Ok, I can see the flavor. Balance seems good too, especially when compared to Grumble, Worldshaker.

AeroJulwin: Neat card, great flavor.
No, no, Jackman. Got lost on his way to SNAP.
They just released the beta in the Philippines a few days ago
No N'Zoth in the miniset? Huh. That's surprising.
I just noticed this is the 4th Herald in the mini-set, and they're all Nagas. Wondering what they're heralding. HMMM...
