If you already have a full set of standard commons and rares, then you might consider saving this warrior pack for the mini-expac launch which should save you buying 1 DMF pack.
My Uni courses were over a few decades ago so not surprised it's called something else now :)
I think most would agree the quality of the product has gone down over the last few years. Some of that could perhaps be explained by more frequent updates, and an increasingly complexity of the game. But my feeling is there are less resources dedicated to proper testing in terms of people and time.
We released a rather large patch today, and we’ve had a few bugs pop up as a result.
During my programming courses at University, I was always taught to have a test plan. That is, you go through a predetermined checklist to test the functionality of your program before publishing it looking for bugs. I appreciate there are some complex interactions within Hearthstone, and it's not feasible to test everything but surely playing some games on each game mode with a variety of decks/mechanics would be standard in such a test plan.
And checking out achievements and its pages are working correctly.
If it's not, then they aren't doing it properly. Over the last 18 months or so it's started to feel like we're playing on a PTR and doing the testing for them.
Yes I agree voting on decks is different than voting on comments.
I usually find myself upvoting dapperdog because I almost agree with what you said and the way you expressed it.
There do seem to be waves of downvoting mass comments in a news item - often without much obvious reasoning behind them. Perhaps that's just the way it seems and not reflected in the database behind the site.
The system is good and I simply try not to take it personally. Automated measures to detect and deter abuse in the future sounds good.
Though they have introduced 3 mini-expacs a year. At a time when most of us would normally be conserving/saving our gold for the upcoming new expansion.
Sitting on current expac packs earned through end of season rewards etc can mitigate that a bit, though you need self discipline and doesn't feel fun :) Remains to be seen how many epics/legendaries will be added to the set.
It's a 19.2% saving in XP up to level 50.
Also you are forced to win ranked games every week even if you are already Legend and would otherwise take a break or you just play other game modes. Before you could just win or lose 3/6 games in casual every few days. Given the promise of "play Hearthstone your way" I hope this weekly will be changed to be any game mode at some point.
Definitely improved though with the changes for some quests completable in brawls or battlegrounds though. Step in the right direction.
Here's a table based on 50,000 XP increments to judge your current progress, and the system as a whole.
Remember to account for achievements XP you may have gotten but won't for the rest of the expac cycle. Also we likely have more time on this track than what will normally be the case.
Gold per 1000 XP averages are based on the XP for that actual level, not what's in the table which is just the nearest level to the 50K XP milestone.
Following the 8 Dec 2020 announcement by Blizzard with upcoming changes to the rewards track, I've made a new graph to give an indication of how much Gold 1000 XP is worth based on where you finish. I think one of the main problems we've had is de-obfuscating XP into gold.
This contrasts with the previous graph (level 100 is same as level 200 above):
So whereas level old level 100 would equal 31.1 gold per 1000 XP
the equivalent level 200 in the new system is 34.7 gold per 1000 XP
I'm posting this without trying to infer the system is good or bad. Just the data for you to decide for yourself.
Notes:
- I've reduced the XP requirements by 19.2 % approx (1-(37000/192200)) for levels 1-50. And added the 50 gold to levels 27 and 30. Changed the 50+ levels by splitting each level into 3.
- They will have more even numbers than I used in new graph, but won't make much meaningful difference to this graph, and no difference at all if you are looking past level 50.
- Non-gold rewards are subjective and not factored in to this gold only graph. It's for you to decide their worth to you.
- if they keep the same slightly lower XP requirements for current level 50-60 I'll need to make a new graph, it won't make much difference to the takeaway average though (total 7200 XP).
- Kept the same max scale at 80g per 1000 XP even though it cuts the top off. I'm a crazy rebel
I've oft advised people to watch out for my balls lest a collision occurs.
Duck 'n cover!!!!
Loved them writing in this. They must be using awesome form of shorthand lol!!
I actually quite enjoyed the tone of this article. Well done Flux :P
Thanks - worked first time :)

Open this one first before DMF packs.

Just speculation on my part though.

Turn it off before doing that if you don't want to be eating soup for the rest of your life :P

Wait for patch to go live tomorrow and reroll :)
Ramming Speed STILL not nerfed. It's going to rotate soon so they better get on it with.
Nerf to Raza Priest yay!
I don't own the card for dust refund boo!
Consider saving these packs in preparation for the upcoming mini expansion release.
I've never bought a smartphone and the last 2 I've had were from family who updated to a newer one.
Luckily just meet the minimum specs for playing afking battlegrounds when I'm near a new level (the only time I do it).
I'm f2p with a fpff.
f2p = free 2 play
fpff = free phone from family

There's a table here to lookup your XP based on your level. https://outof.cards/hearthstone/2200-the-rewards-track-how-long-to-get-to-level-50-644000-experience-required-to-get-to-level-150
TL;DR
old level 100 is 31.1 gold per 1000 XP
new level 200 is 34.7 gold per 1000 XP

uh oh - in that case I've been protesting since day 1 of playing the game.
