  • Feels like a lot of ppl kinda forgot for their card to actually make sense in Darkmoon Faire setting. Proper watermark for the keyword is good and all, but a lot of cards dont seem to have any ties to DMF at all. Small oversight?

Maybe I should make a new thread for this question, but are you planning on making big competitions (expansions/classes) like the ones which used to happen on HearthPwn? Of course I do not want to rush if you want to prepare for this as best as you can, maybe you would have to make them in a different format than the usual weekly competitions.

We do plan to have bigger competitions, but we dont have a system for it in place yet. So, yeah.

  • The Shaman deck is pretty funny when it works, definitely give it a go, its not even that expensive.

  • Im at 20 playing mostly Battlegrounds, bit or arena and ranked just for the weekly quest. One thing is nice, that it does seem like playing whatever mode has you gain similar progress as others playing a different mode. Part about the time it takes to get there or the rewards is a different topic.

Opened 39 packs, 1 legendary. Looks like I'm off to Battlegrounds this expansion.

In at most 11 more, you should get another one :)

  • I played Link's (i think?) variation of Menagerie Highlander Druid and it was pretty fun and actually worked often times enough :) I wonder how much does Yogg improve the win (lose?:D) rate.

  • Yeah, that is also a big annoyance.

  • Already woven into the first levels of the Reward Track, I'm affraid :( Or they might surprise us ...

  • Where is the Vote Manipulation Police when one needs it?! :kappa:

  • Neon will have a time to shine again, eh?:D (huh, pun not intended, but i'll take it :D)

  • No you cant, the 2500xp quest is in a separate quest pool. You always get that one, plus two 1750xp from the other pool.

Maybe they will add new quests to the 2500xp pool in the future tho. I really hope so, cause winning 7 ranked games per week can feel like a chore for someone who does not play ranked regularly.

  • Not the biggest issue, but I just wanted to say what I don't like about the achievements is they spoil the outcome of some games. For example, I go into a match in Battlegrounds and I get an achievement before the match even starts and I already know I lost/won. That completely takes away the excitement.

  • That is the point tho, we dont know much, the communication from Blizzard is the biggest problem, always has been. They can do better in this department and no one can say otherwise.

I calculated for myself, who plays minimally but passes all the quests, I get less gold, but with other rewards I get almost the same value (albeit still less than before).

That would be okay for me, if for all of this I didn't have to more than double my play time. The key here are weekly quests, which are specific and/or require winning, which is much more demanding than before. You don't want to play that BG weekly? You can switch! Oh look, another BG quest.. And you'll find yourself entering the game every day just so you can switch those, which creates pressure, at least for me. Also, there will be times when luck fails you and those 7 ranked wins will be painful.

If you truly want the same reward fot the same time as they promised, you have to count out all xp from weekly quests, and the majority of xp from achievements (plus, xp from passive gameplay is much lower than they have stated in their calculations). See where that amount will get you on the reward track. All this without mentioning the lame old packs on later levels and the upcoming miniset. They openly lied and the backlash is deserved.

Yeah, that is my biggest gripe with the system as well, lot of those Quests are WIN not PLAY, which can actually mean dozen or tens of dozen of hours a difference during the expansion cycle spend playing, if you lose a lot.

I get it, they try to incentivize playing Ranked and make ppl buy the new packs, i cant say if being more pro-community friendly and getting better PR wouldnt help the sales more while making the players happy overall, guess we will never know.

I do hope they change it to PLAY eventually. Not to mention that they disallowed for some reason to complete certain quests (play X class) in Tavern Brawl (havent really checked them in other game modes), which just sounds stupid.

  • Rager is back in the Rager category, all's right with the world. Not really, but you know ...

  • I agree it would be nice to see them somewhere, the new Journal could be a place for it, or when you enter the Game Modes "lobby".

Then again, not that big of a deal, or is it? Only situation where i could see it being useful is if you dont know if you have any tickets and are unsure if checking one mode would spend it, but if you are going to play that mode, does it matter? Again, not against having it displayed somewhere, but dont think its that much of a problem.

  • This feels like we got the Prep back, kinda :)

  • Now this card is interesting, can it revive Totem Shaman? Copy and profit! :D

  • beep beep beep beep beep, that's all i have to say about this card :X

  • This with Knife Vendor is a LOT of burn potential between just 4 card. Tho i would imagine that aggro decks would probably go the Vendor route, since it does not have requirement.

I do like this card for one simple reason, it might help get my control rogue on the board, if i dont end up corrupting the card in a wrong time :)) But i mean you can always play it first, right? Potentially copying, shuffling, bouncing the Corrupted version for bunch of "deal 4" looks like something i might want to try as well.
