Arena Hearthstone is an absolute clown fiesta right now with random generation determining who wins the match, people keeping their decks are the least of our worries right now.
Fixed it for you.
Wasnt always the case but yes, nowadays it is mostly about RNG and it sucks.
I think casual mode, similar to Duels, for Arena could be cool and could possibly get more ppl to play it. Then again, the heavy RNG aspect makes things a bit different than it used to. The skill cap and acquiring said skill, which could be done mostly by just playing the game mode, was the biggest factor in Arena once upon a time. And it was very costly to be able to better yourself. With a casual mode with no rewards, but no entry fee, ppl could get a grip on how the mode works and how to draft their decks and eventually move to the regular Arena and enjoy playing it.
Or at least thats what i would have said a few years ago. Im not really sure what to say today. Arena was my main game mode for years and i had thousands of games played and pretty much sustained myself from Arena alone. I loved the draft mode. But the amount of RNG there now, i just cant enjoy it anymore, because the RNG leveled the playing field. Which might sound elitist of me to say, but i think it is fair to want a more experienced player to do better than the least experienced one and have their choices matter. Not always, but most of the time. If the game decides i lose, i lose, if the game decides i win, i win. My actions rarely matter. That is an exaggeration, ofc, if you play like a total newbie you will still lose more often, but the skill of knowing how to draft, what to look out for and trying to bait out stuff or play around just almost does not exist anymore, because the random generators make this impossible.
I think the change to the entry fee, and consequently to the reward system, is the one thing that needs to happen, if there is ever going to be a "revive" of Arena, but im not holding my breath for it to ever happen. Duels were my last hope that with its introduction, especially since it was supposed to share the Arena reward system, would bring about a reword to that, but that didnt happen, instead it basically slid into Arena's shoes, which is bad. Oh well.
This year especially has taught me that sometimes even the simplest of plans can be waylaid by outside influence, so I'm going for a different kind of resolution this time - in 2021, I'm gonna promise to do things that make me happy.
Now that is a nice sentiment, and a smart idea in general. We do neglect ourselves sometimes. I'll try to do the same, but no promises (to myself) :)
Won't change it because people on this site don't vote for my submissions because i was the one that submitted them anyway, and i made the card for my own enjoyment.
Well, you are going in knowing the card will get disqualified, but it should be about fun first and foremost, so if you like the card, nothing is stopping you from using it, if you can deal with the consequences.
The effect on the hero power is interesting and it could be explored further, just not on the card as it stands for this particular prompt, thats all ;-)
An idea i had. I always like the idea of paladins conscripting people that wouldn't normally be in their army, like ogres or giants, trolls, or beasts.
This card turns off its own effect, since it is itself a minion in your deck.
No other minions
Changing the text to "no other minions" would fix the card mechanically, but would then not follow the prompt.
Sorry? Got the idea from the other person that said it was okay. Maybe if everyone dogpiled them before i posted like what's happening to me i would have known
The prompt: You must create a card which has an effect when your deck has no minions.
Your card literally wants to bypass having a minion in the deck. Im not sure where is the confusion about that. You havent submitted, so you still have time to adjust the card or come up with something else ;-)
/edit: ah, didnt see Link's card, in that case im of the opinion that his breaks the rules as well
Yup, tho if you look right after your throwing spree, you might not see anything else, if you throw a lot :D So you would have to chill out for a second :)

Check your account manager > avatar borders, maybe you got them. There was a display issue, even if you opened the gifts, they were still showing countdowns as if you didnt. But if you clicked on em, you should have gotten the contents.
First thing that pops up when i write "ice" in. Maybe you had additional filters on? For example, if you select a class, you can no longer de-select it, you can change it, but you can no longer remove the class filter, you have to reload the card search from scratch. That will be fixed sometimes in the future. Maybe that was the case and you didnt notice.
A lot has happened in our Fan Creation corner in the past year. Nice to see it all written down. Cant wait for next year! :)
We should do a "New Year's Resolution" mini-comp for the start of the 2021 :D Everyone could make a HS card that would depict their real life resolution. That should be interesting :D
This is weird, you can get awarded a 1st place in a three-way, if the 3rd person dies to KT while ur fighting, but getting 2nd? That is weird. Havent had that happen to me tho.
Damn, i assume that is with Tavern Pass? And did you do XP achievements yet?

Shaun is the best :D
Aww ... i mean, yeah :D sometimes :P
How many snowballs thrown at the end of the event? Care to take a guess? Say #1 and total :)

There appears to be an issue with equipping Pins via account manager. It will be fixed soonTM.
Yup, they are an additional layer of cosmetics, its a first pass at them, so feel free to report any issues.
They appear near your avatar border and in various places on the site where your name+avatar is displayed.
/edit: it seems that equipping Pins in Account Manager is not working correctly right now tho, gotta wait a bit before its fixed :(

Happy holidays guys.
If you really think about it Corpsetaker was kinda a prequel to Zilliax, no wonder it did so well 🤔
I really loved a lot of cards in RR and the setting, but i will say it got kinda shrug off hard in HS history, when you look back.
The exact tie to a recurring decimal. And from a differently scored votes too, cool! CG guys! :D
