By the way, the "funny mustache" referenced in Caricature Artist is confirmed to be the mustache from Evil Twin in Battlegrounds. It does actually "do something" beyond flavor text, even if it has no actual gameplay relevance.
@Thonson The original forum structure is dead: if you want to post something, you can go to the appropriate game realm and create a thread that way. That said, we do see the "Reuse" Harth article and we're looking into why you can see it haha. Thank you for lookin' out for us :)
That sounds fine in an ideal world run by ideal leaders/management, but reality is not so wonderful. What you're asking for is self-regulation on the subject, which is what they've been allowed to do for decades now. Companies self-regulating is why we have 10-year-old cocoa farmers in Africa pretending they're 21 to avoid child labor fines. It's why here in the US we have freight trains that have become longer and longer, frequently block traffic, and are run by two people at the most (the industry wants to cut that down to one person per train). Self-regulation leads to a path of least resistance for the highest profit, regardless of things like safety, public wellbeing, or indeed inclusion.
I don't believe GLAAD is demanding that every game from now on must absolutely include an LGBTQ person: that's unreasonable, unachievable, and will certainly lead to companies "shoving them (in) just for the sake of inclusion", without tact or care for what they're doing. But in a lot of ways that's already what some are doing, and shaming them into adopting a more inclusive mindset will not be enough to affect positive change.
In American football (the NFL, to be particular), they were forcibly pushed to adopt the Rooney Rule to demand general managers and team owners include ethnic-minority candidates for head coaching positions in their batch of interviews. You could argue "wouldn't the best candidate get the job, regardless of the color of their skin?" And again, in an ideal world that would be true, but it's been proven that the truth is far more racially biased. It is unfortunate, but this is similarly true for video game companies with the issue of LGBTQ inclusion. They've already demonstrated that - to some capacity - they can't be allowed to self-regulate, or we end up right where we are now: with a pitifully low LGBTQ inclusion-rate and numerous examples of negative stereotypes dotting the digital landscape.
I was just talking about this game a couple hours ago - I'm definitely interested. Path of Exile is too much for me and I'm not a fan of its complicated systems, but I also found Diablo IV lacking. A middle-ground could be exactly what I'm looking for!
I'm really hoping the first one is a "toy" set, like Toy Story but for Hearthstone. That would be a lot of fun. Edit: Calling my shot: it's going to be called "The Tiny Toys of Tinkertown"! :D
I went ahead and bought Armored Core VI when it came on sale. It's fun so far, although I only started like an hour ago so we'll see how the difficulty ramps up lol. Died on the initial mission's boss only once, so maybe that's encouraging? I find it very strange the game has tutorial missions that you can only access *after* you defeat that boss; feels like a "you can have them after you prove you don't need them" situation.
I wish more MMOs followed the model of Guild Wars 2 before the base game became Free 2 Play: pay to buy the game, pay to buy expansions, and/or pay for bonuses like bank space or cosmetics...but that's it. I thought GW2 did very well and provided a great experience without a subscription service, and I never would've given it a chance if-not for the one time upfront purchase. I was also more willing to give them extra money because I felt they had earned it; I wasn't being wringed of cash just because they could.
Not saying FFXIV is bad or whatever; just bummed I won't ever play it because of its subscription model. I played WoW's free trial for the Liadrin Hearthstone skin, with blinders on so I didn't become hooked into paying. That's as far as I'll go.
Congratulations, Lemushki! You probably won't see this 'cause you're busy, but I wanted to say it anyway hehe :)
I did a naughty thing and reinstalled Marvel Snap. I originally quit the game because it was too expensive and I sometimes have low impulsive control, which is a bad mix, but the game is just too fun. I genuinely enjoy it more than Hearthstone, so perhaps I'll finally give Hearthstone the boot and save money that way. Apart from those two, I've played a lot of Roboquest on my Steam Deck. As I noted in my review, the game is just really fast and fun FPS action, although I forgot to mention that there is a demo on Steam for anyone interested in checking it out!
Moving into February, rumor has it that Elden Ring's DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree, will finally see the light of day this month; perhaps as a second-anniversary deal. I will definitely buy it, using the new content as a push to finally finish the game lol. Later in the month is my birthday, and I'm guessing one of my gifts will be Marvel's Spider-Man 2 for the PS5 - definitely gonna play that too. Beyond that, who knows: maybe I'll finally finish Baldur's Gate III, or play Sea of Stars. Or I could pivot and buy something new like Lies of P.
"If I was guessing what card would be banned in the first week, it would be Undertaker."
I'd be more likely to guess that *no* card will be banned, period, if it wasn't from the outset. Maybe that's a cynical sentiment, but do they need to care about Twist? It's like their failure to curb bad-apple cards in Tavern Brawls; it's there for those who want it, and yet doesn't garner enough attention anymore to keep it "pruned", as it were.
@Pezman The "funny mustache" is the mustache from Evil Twin over in Battlegrounds - it will look like those minions do.
In 1s-and-0s speak (aka binary), "111" means 7. Someone was being cheeky with the robot.

I understand you don't want us to play the full Factory Assemblybot and the Mini version together on the same turn, but...10-Mana? For that?
Welp, never playing Yogg again, that's for sure.
At least call it "Legends 2XKO", or "2XKO Legends", as a reference to the source material D:
...it at least better shout "KO!!" when you win in a classic arcade-y voice. You basically have to do that now.
More like Psychic Scream, but I understand the sentiment hehe :P
I agree. Spurfang's current lack of success in particular makes me think they'll try and push the handbuffing harder, to go alongside King Plush.

I made a Colifero Hunter deck too! It's a Questline Hunter that has Colifero the Artist as a surprise-lethal arrangement. 100% winrate...in Bronze lol
Hey alright, I called the toy flavor! Love it! 😁 Customizing a Zilliax is an awesome design, and Miniaturize is a cool keyword.
...I guess I'm sticking around for another expansion.

Wow they gutted my S.A.F.E. Pilot. talent of choice. Reduced crash damage, then the talent reduces it again? Ugh.
