Anyone who watched Blizzcon: does his Battlecry remove the minions like The Amazing Reno, or does it remove them like Anachronos? I feel like it's the former, but I'm not 100% sure just from the wording. I also assume based on the wording that it hits locations and permanents as well as minions.
It should poof them, and yes it will remove things like dormant minions, Sargera's portal, and locations.
I fail to see how Reno isn't, like, 10-Mana: his Mage iteration poofed all minions while this is enemy-only, can remove anything (even dormant stuff), plus it can box out the opponent from getting back on the board in a compelling way. Yeah it requires a condition, but still - an obvious auto-include for Highlander decks, and possibly even besides (like Zephrys the Great before him).
I am really excited to finally use Totodile in VGC. Well, actually Feraligatr, but I love Totodile and as someone who has no Pokemon Games from the GBA/DS/3Ds eras it will be the first time I get to use it in a mainline competitive supported Pokemon Game :)
I didn't read into the news much; are they bringing back older starter Pokémon? I must've missed that while searching for info about the DLC. That's always super awesome, although I wish they'd do that earlier in the game more often; for me, by the time I can get the extra starter, it's kinda too late to add him/her to my team.
The problem is Rustrot Viper....making this card significantly worse.
Fair enough, but your opponent can only hard-run two Rustrot Vipers, and some people just use the one. If a Battlepickaxe gets eaten by a Viper, that's one less opportunity to take your Ignis weapon away. That's a decision you force on your opponent, all the while you keep smacking them for 4 while they think it over :D
King's Defender, to the trash with you (if you weren't there already). This is Stormhammer for Taunt minions, and I'm all for it. Load this up with Durability, then throw it all away to wield Sulfuras.
This is a worse Undying Disciple, which didn't see much play. I'm guessing this won't either.
Blast Tortoise is a Battlecry, not a Deathrattle, and comes with a package of handbuffing opportunities (plus the already-existing Menagerie packages can synergize as well).
Ok, NOW I can see why Showdown! is useful. Of course, you need an empty board for the summons to get the buff, but that makes a sweet combo for lots of heals.
Is "do nothing" on board for 18 healing worth 5 Mana and two cards, though?
Death Knight can cheese the carousel if it's rotating counter-clockwise: your Ghoul from Hero Powering is transferred to your opponent, then dies. Sure you don't get its Corpse, but they get nothing and it keeps the better minions from leaving your side of the board.
DOOM 2016 is a fun time for sure, blasting enemies in the face with a shotgun so hard you can practically feel the kickback. I didn't finish it though, because the constant GO GO GO feel of the combat physically drained me. The adrenaline and dopamine running through your brain and body as you jump around twitch-shooting everything that moves is great for excitement and energy-highs...until you crash lol :/
Novel mechanic, very flavorful, but it's kinda just a random value bomb. You have very little control, and the best cards to hope for will be drowned out by all the Neutral crap flooding the market. It's also capped in its potential, given they're d6s.
The Quickdraw might be easier to proc than others, given the nature of DH's draw-power, but the effect is also very tame. Darkbomb is still acceptable at a base level, and yet even that card was buffed for the modern era. Could've been a little better, like Frostbite, especially since it lacks a spell school for those synergies.

Nope: it's been confirmed that you remain the class you are, mainly so you can continue to Discover things. It won't help Tess in that capacity.

Into the Fray on a card that also has Taunt. I'll take two, please and thank you. If only it was cheaper, though.
The Mistcaller for Taunt minions, on a two-drop with Taunt, that you can run twice, with a minion type for Menagerie stuff as well.
What a time to be alive lol. Love it for my Fire Plume's Heart deck.

*Me anytime I see a Taunt Warrior card* "Fire Plume's Heart, LET'S GOOO"
*sees your favorites include Alarak* "Ah, a fellow individual of culture."
Forgot about Arms Dealer, an even cheaper way to give the Bovine +1 Attack and still available in Standard.

And it triggers from playing a Coin, so you obviously have the 1-Mana required to play it! It's gonna get crazy.
Dire Wolf Alpha + Bunny Stomper + this = infinite removal?

If you've Excavated 8 times to meet the Scorpion's demands, then you've done enough to acquire two Scorpions. Something to consider.
