Coin usage for Rogue might be hell of a competition to design, balance and playability tho it makes me think about it and i tihkn i found kind of a solution.
...
My solution is a keyword, something like tribute(x) or loan(x) or something means payment(x) which is a keyword like Spellburst but it doesn't trigger only once and spends all temporary mana when triggered.
Tribute(x) - After you play (x) coins, this effect triggers and you lose (x) temporary mana.
That is an interesting idea; thanks for sharing with examples. I'm not sure what to do yet with the Rogue, in-part because the set was pretty weak for most everybody compared to now, and Wishing Well + the other Coin cards tread the ground I was standing on originally. You're right, though: having a hand full of Coins (or other junk) without your payoffs feels terrible.
Speaking of known issues, any news on the one I reported above, 5 months ago?
I can't speak to the circumstances as-to why you were ignored for so long (not for any conspiratorial reason; I just don't know), but I am sorry that it happened. It often comes from when the most active people on the site (like me) don't know the answer and have nothing to share beyond acknowledgement of one's post and a "we're sorry, that sucks, but can't help at this time." That being said, the acknowledgement is important because the alternative is ghosting you, which is not okay. Ghosting also leads to posts falling down the list of recency, and thus snowballs into "well that was months ago; what good is a reply now?", you know what I mean?
*shrugs* I am not a professional customer service agent - or really anything regarding website management; I am just a volunteer - but I do know that we as a collective could be doing better for our users.
As-to your original issue, we thought it was fixed, but if you're still experiencing problems then the solution is probably more complicated than we have time for at this moment. You're still getting to your destination (hopefully), so one could argue it's not a huge priority compared to the other fires that need putting out. Shitty answer, I know, but I am trying to be honest with you.
I have not been on the site for a few years. And when I return to the site all of my old posts are gone. The thread itself still exists but all the content and comments inside it are gone, or at least unavailable for viewing from mobile and PC. I checked out the other fan creators and it seems like it affect all of the posts from before the update. Is there anyway for you guys to restore it? If not I would appreciate at least an acknowledgement.
Hi there. From what I remember of the situation, the "lost" posts stem from when we merged the original Out of Cards project with Out of Games, in an attempt to become just one website. We were looking to change how we handle our Forums, comments, etc. - and still are - and an unfortunate side-effect is that the old Forums content from before the merge is gone. If I recall the conversation we had after first discovering this happened, it is not recoverable in any meaningful way :(
It's a disappointing + frustrating answer to provide, but, again, as far as I am aware, that is the answer we must give.
Have you ever played a game that you really enjoyed, and wanted to keep playing, but felt like you couldn't as readily because of the energy + focus the game required of you? That's me with Black Myth: Wukong lol. It was a similar thing with DOOM 2016, although that game was even more intense and thus exhausting to play XD
I've taken like a two-week unplanned "break" from Wukong because I've struggled to reestablish my energy levels: whether it's being tired from work, or my depression, or distractions like the NFL starting back up again, focusing my attention enough to be like "Alright, I'm gonna play Wukong now!" has been a challenge. It's been more "I'll just play Diablo IV for a bit while the TV is on", "oh, Snap's missions are full again; guess I'll play those," you know? Still playing games, but less enthused than I'd like.
I was about to comment with "I own Stellaris too!" but apparently I confused it with Sins of a Solar Empire, a game I've never played despite it being gifted to me (with all the DLC at the time). Double-awkward lol
In terms of other space-related games I enjoy, Endless Space 2 is a fun experience with an amazing soundtrack. There's also the classic FTL: Faster Than Light, which has great music as well and is only $3.49 at the moment.
Finally downloaded Dragon Age: Inquisition after getting it for free on Epic a couple of months ago, and I'm now getting into Civilization as well.
I see you playin' it on Discord: how is DA:I? I haven't played a Dragon Age game since Origins, mostly because it seemed to move away from the original gameplay style that I enjoyed, plus it has (had?) that stupid EA launcher even on Steam.
I'd be very happy to read about your experience in detail if you're willing to share it!
I plan to give Black Myth: Wukong a proper review, if that helps 😀
I can say it's kinda like God of War, but with some soulslike elements. You don't lose anything when you die, though, so you can bash your face against all the bosses to your heart's content. The game can be difficult in spots, but it mostly has come down to me being not prepared for the fight: under-leveled, under-geared, low on protective items/healing, and/or just not well versed in my opponent's moveset.
I recently bought Black Myth: Wukong, and I'm having a blast with it! Frankly amazed that it runs on my computer with Medium settings, but I ain't complainin' lol.
So Marvel Rivals is about what I expected: a third-person Overwatch, with Marvel characters. Just been playing games vs the AI to get a feel for it, but it's fun!
Had a game just now where we had to hold a location, but the hard-difficulty bots pushed us back and took the spot. They got to 99% before I charged past everyone and captured it; we ended up winning. Didn't get MVP though lol :(
Haven't played every character yet, but so far I've enjoyed Venom (Vanguard/tank), Star Lord (Duelist/DPS), and Mantis (Strategist/healer). Groot (Vanguard) and Storm (Duelist) have consistently been MVPs; they seem busted. I'll have to try them next...if people would stop beating me to them!
...oh and the buddy-codes are all gone: I guess it was first-come-first-served, and I didn't snag one in time.
Cool, I got Closed Beta access for Marvel Rivals! If anyone is interested and hasn't yet attempted to get their own access (found here for Steam, but I think consoles are also an option), I can potentially give away a code after reaching level 6 on their rewards track in-game. Closed Beta starts tomorrow; I would only have the one buddy-code to give, though.
If you're wondering what the heck Marvel Rivals is...it's a 6v6, PvP, third-person team shooter game, with I believe deathmatch and a dominion/"hold the area" objective mode as well. It features Marvel characters (duh), like Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Loki, Black Panther, etc.; and there are Team Up opportunities if allies are playing as appropriate characters (Rocket Raccoon can jump on Groot's back, for example, giving them both a boost).
So I started Flintlock yesterday, and...my initial impression is not great. Janky performance, even moreso on the Steam Deck; it's hard to determine if the game is naturally hard, or it's the controls, camera, and/or chugging system that makes it so.
Cool to hear you're digging it so far 😁 I didn't really have a preferred Hades build: eventually you can buy an upgrade where a random weapon each run gives bonus Darkness, so I just used whatever came up lol. In terms of a weapon I was successful with, it was probably the spear I won the most runs with.
If/when you finish Hades, don't forget that Hades II, while currently in Early Access, already has more content than the original! I actually like it even better, which is crazy given it's not complete yet 😅
Also, if you're interested in exploring the roguelike genre some more, I can definitely recommend other titles for ya.
Next in line is Hades which I got during PlayStation summer sale. Heard nothing but praise about that one, very curious to finally try it.
How goes it - have you jumped into Hades yet? I was also gonna ask you if you ever got around to playing Hollow Knight; I think you mentioned the possibility before. They're amazing: Hollow Knight is in my Top 5 favorites ever, and Hades is somewhere close (maybe even moreso with Hades II).
Hopefully Flintlock is good - I plan to buy it for Steam this Thursday. Some out there have cried "woke!" just because it has a black woman for a protagonist: it's rather pathetic, but I'm concerned that it will infect the minds of would-be customers and drag the game down.
I have played The Witcher 3, with the DLCs...on the Switch of all places lol. Great game: never played the series before my aunt bought the game on a whim, gave me Wild Hunt for my birthday a while ago.
It's been a few years now, so there is that, but it didn't stick with me as much as you might be hoping. I know for a good amount of people Blood & Wine is the best DLC ever, but beyond Dettlaff's boss theme (The Beast of Beauclair), I don't remember much about it. I'm sure I enjoyed it...just don't have any particular details lodged in my brain. I remember more about saving the soul of the immortal guy from the other DLC, racing through that maze, even if I can't remember his or the expansion's name lol.
With that in mind, if we assume Shadow of the Erdtree is #2, I can place Blood & Wine no higher than third, at the maximum :/
That is an interesting idea; thanks for sharing with examples. The last "Reforged" game I experienced was Warcraft III...hopefully not comparable situations lol

Regarding the Wild adjustments
"Hmm, those cards look familiar..." :/

A better Conjure Mana Biscuit, with less steps, for a class that can exploit it better. Why lol

Finished Shadow of the Erdtree and reviewed it, so now I'm playing Last Epoch's first major Cycle/Season until Flintlock comes out this Thursday.
