Oh I wish more people would play Dota Underlords, I wish it so much, but sadly Valve stopped updating the game 2 years ago. Such a shame, it was by far my favorite auto-chess game and the playernumbers even were fine when the devs out of nowhere and without a official announcement first reduced and finally completely stopped updating the game.

Soft launches are pretty common for f2p games, especially for mobile. It allows them to get feedback on a unfinished game. Kinda like early access on Steam, except here the fast majority of the main target audience (casual players) don't even know about its existence until they one day see it in their mobile stores, which means that they never have a chance to make their first impressions based on a unfinished product.
Since there's no solo adventure for this expansion, chances are this is merely a theme, never meant to be concluded. I highly doubt the midset would suddenly just spring a killer out of nowhere.
I can see the solution being a central part of the expansion event.

I said it before when people speculated what the 3. expansion could be, because it has been confirmed that it's going to be bigger than usual, but I always wanted a "What if" type of Expansion with a bunch of old characters of another timeline. Rafaam as Explorer Member, Hagatha as a Scholomance teacher, Dr. Boom the plaque lord, Reno the old god etc.

They did "nerf" him with the bug fix. Though I thought it would be common knowledge by now that the devs never nerf Mercenaries because of the modes focus on pve.

To name a few points that are unique to deamonhunters:
-Demonhunters have the unique combination of high card draw and low card generation. This allows them to put out threat after threat each turn, but also causes them to reach fatique extremely quick. Basically a deamonhunter that relentlessly chases you before running out of energy.
-DHs also have strong AoE removel, but struggle against single big minions.
-The class focuses a lot on attacking with their hero, but unlike rogues they do it to pressure their opponents and not (always) to gain tempo. They also barely rely on weapons for this which is something only druids did before, but never really succeeded with.
-They also have quite a unique spin on their token archetypes. Instead of overwhelming their opponents with AoE buffed tokens, they instead let their minions die and "harvest their souls" with other cards and make use of them that way.

I heard some people say that the effect translates to "The third minion you play each turn costs 0". This would mean that the effect can only trigger once each turn and that he counts himself.

I think they are just trying to avoid having Battlecry and combo on the same card. Also I don't see a way how adding combo would shorten the text here.

As somone who follows multiple Blizzard games I always loved these Blizzcon events. A single big day to look forward to with a bunch of cinematics, huge announcements, followed by hours where the devs go more in depth about what they just announced or just have fun.

Past season cards are added to the random card rewards of the collection levels. Though I too hope that the devs are going to rethink the idea of locking a card behind a paywall for a month.
Other than that I don't get why new player would have to keep up. Theoratically new players aren't going to play against old players because of matchmaking, ranks etc. So the new player experience wouldn't be any different than the experience most "old" players had when they were new, and they obviously sticked with the game. Or are the players whos enjoymend purely comes from being the best, even if there isn't even a leaderboard?

Why don’t they want to push the button that lets the rest of the world pay them money?
Keep in mind that the game is still unfinished. Crashes, placeholder graphics, missing features, features that need heavy tuning etc. The core-gameplay is great, but most of the stuff around it isn't (yet). That's not the kind of first impression you want to make. The point of a soft launch is to get feedback of early versions of a game, while not generating a bad first impression on your main markets.

Or an actual event. They havn't done a classic hallows end event in a while, so there is certainly a real possibility here.

Minor thing, but you are linking the Story version of Sir Finley instead of the collectible one which uses different portraits.

Crowly was my favorite witchwood hero, so I'm definetely looking forward to him being in Duels.
Sounds good on paper, let's see how it turns out in practice. Though my initial impressions are positive.
I totally wasn't expecting secret mage support for this expansion.
This already looks so much better and interesting than whatever they tried with fel warlock during Altarac.
the "this turn" part of the text makes it quite a lot worse than Prymordial Glyph.
Keep in mind that Druid will have actual deathrattle support this expansion

I could have sworn to have read somewhere that the feature is coming with the expansion patch.
