They are the new Chinese currency for the game due in part to new Chinese lootbox laws. This is apparently a glitch people get when playing on the 2 other servers.
I find it funny that people are still calling it "new" even though it's almost a year old now.
Btw, they had to introduce this system because there it's illegal to directly buy lootbox. So instead they can now buy RuneStones(basically the Premium currency) which they can use to buy bundles or convert them into runestones (gold). It is stupid, but it works.

You know, this whole community outcry kinda remindes me of an essay I wrote a while ago. It was about the different phases on how people reacted to new things. "We" are currently in the 6. Phase where People belive the new thing isn't good enough and that this isn't going to change even though there is no reason to belive that. The next phase would be beliving that newcomers would be overwhelmed by the new thing.

Are you also doing an article on the new Duels HP, starting treasures aswell as the passive and active treasures? I'm really interested in them but couldn't find the list anywhere.

400 xp per ranked Hour seems really good when you compare it with the new "play 3 games with Druid,Hunter or Mage" quest that rewards 1000 xp (if they didn't changed).

I thought it's worth highlighting this information because I and probably many others overlooked it in the patchnotes. You can't build your starting Duels deck with MDF cards, but you can find MDF buckets.
"Duels: Season One also begins on November 17, but tomorrow’s patch grantsDuels: Early Access to everyone, introduces Whispers of the Old Gods to the pool of eligible sets, and adds Madness at the Darkmoon Faire cards to loot buckets! Once Duels: Season One begins, you’ll be able to add Madness at the Darkmoon Faire cards to your starter deck as well!"
Don't you only get that if you climb to the top of ladder too
No, you get it after you played or skipped the apprentice ranks if you are a new player. I belive returning players only need to log into the game after the 4 months passed.

Are you seriously saying that shamans have no problems with card generation because they got 2 cards in the last 5 expansions? Besides that both only work in murloc decks.

Class identities are more guidelines than rules, shaman hasn't gotten any meaningfull card generation cards (that gives you an card advantage) in the last 3 expansions or so.

Those cards are cool and all(especially Tickatus), but I'm really waiting for the new enhancement Shaman Archetype, the supposedly super cool paladin secret and the 9 Mana corrupt card they mentioned here and there in the past weeks.

I only know her from HotS, but isn't she some sort of holy paladin that protects the innocents? If so, I can see how she is standing against the darkness(in this case old gods) from a pure character standpoint.
Actually only the first two fire-festivels had the double gold thing going on, and the gold+dust thing only happend in the Taverns of Times event.

Update: Seems like this feature was initially bugged, but it's now fixed.

Card design =/= making creative cards. Design can usually be defined as solving a problem.
In this case the Problem was: What's the payoff for triggering Secrets?
And the solution is: Give Secret mage something it usually struggles with: refilling its hand while not completely loosing tempo.
