Theorycrafting streams have shown this quest to be hard to complete, but it's only day 1. I think this will require heavy refinement to see any level of play.
I think Nefiret thinks cause he's in the "college" league he's somehow smarter than anyone else and his suggestions are apparently god's gift to gaming. (they aren't!) And I agree, he turned a decent quest reward into horribly overpowered/overtuned bullshit.
Giving feedback/opinions is one thing. Going around to all the quests and making "your changes" to them is some egotistical fart-sniffing though.
Incanters flow (since sorc's apprentice isn't in standard anymore) will help support the initial chain casting with ignite. This will be a core card for any fire based deck though!
Also, it's an elemental so it could help bridge archetypes.
Decent with ignite, but not sure this is impactful enough. Mage already has access to spell damage +2 with the phoenix card (albeit dormant for 2 turns) that enables them to plan out burst turns without committing mana from that turn (dormant allows you to "bank" the spell damage cost for 2 turns later).
I'm very interested in this. This quest alone could encourage me to finally play hunter (considering last time I enjoyed playing hunter was spell hunter and deathstalker rexxar it's been quite awhile!)
The ram mount itself will be immune, which means that unless you remove it on your turn, they have a perma 2/2 beast with immune whenever they trade. Will definitely be used in control and to contest the board. Interesting card.
Not sure this is impactful enough. Hunter generally wants weapons that do something. I know the "profession" weapons are supposed to change things up, and hunter is always lacking good card draw, but not sure this is the means that they want to do it in.
This card is insane. There's plenty of fire spell support in the streams today, and on an empty board this is 18 damage to enemy face.

Encourages big spells, but not playable in no minion mage. Maybe....half-assed lunacy support?
This is an insane card. Will enable non-frost archetypes for the next 2 years.

Big spell mage. Or possibly support for no minion mage (since it's a weapon)
2 mana for 4 damage split. Not horrible. Will need some support with spell damage/cycling or synergy with flame spells to see actual play though.
Anything tradeable will see some level of play. A board clear that you can trade away if you don't need it is fantastic.

After watching some theorycrafting streams today I think this card will enable a fire/miracle version of mage. Really good with ignite.
Support for wide hunter, maybe a spell/wide hybrid?

Will encourage wide board hunter, which in turn will encourage mass aoe removal. Will be interesting to see how this arms race will end.
Guardian Animals support for hunter.

Flavor text is awesome. Abathur references FTW.
Support for wide hunter boards. Looks like we are heading back the way of Uldum with wide board hunter.
This actually seems great with the quest and will hopefully enable a control/midrange hunter that isn't entirely about going face.
