  • I’m not saying it’ll be meta, or even good.  But theoretically it’s possible!  And possible is all some players need to make it happen (or die 600 times trying at least)!

  • Tenwu bounced one minion and made it cost 1.  This bounces everything, making it cost 1.  Along with the weapon that can refresh a bunch of mana if buffed up you could potentially do some crazy battlecry/combo effects multiple times.  And with the other Rogue legendary spell we got recently, you could effectively bounce things twice!

Play Alex, break weapon for a bunch of mana, prep, bounce, alex again, shadow of demise, alex again.  A potential 24 burst damage turn late.  In Wild with other cost reduction tools, Brann/Shark, this could get nutty

  • I'm sure Warlock will like having a few extra chances to draw an early Rod as well.

  • What’s that, Wild Druids?  You want more chances to draw your Twig and Sphere?!  Well as it turns out, I got just the thing for you!

  • Yeah.  I like that the reveal schedule is up, but linking to the old MotLK schedule and expansion page, mixed with the lack of over all content and updates for the game page are more than a little concerning.

If you guys are done with the game and don’t want to cover it anymore, at least just say so.  That way I’ll know definitively if I should start going elsewhere for HS coverage

  • I did kind of think they’d do a band per class too.  But multiclass bands with a legendary for each band member as opposed to each getting the “frontman” as their legendary seemed like more fun!

  • Okay, hear me out… Battle of the Bands!  Two, three, or four “bands” involved, creating a faction for each band, similar to Gagetzan! Meaning multi-class cards coming back for this expansion.  Different theme/mechanic for each band!

  • I have also noted the lack of updates on the site lately.  I’ve also been guilty of being less active over the last year or more.

This is mostly because I like to play fun Wild decks, and Wild hasn’t had much room for that lately.  So my time spent building fun Wild decks has decreased.  Leading to less engagement on community sites like OoC.

  • So far the two unexpected interactions on this post are not surprising at all.

Probably diversifying away from card games is the next move. Maybe into some Steam games.

You must not be aware of OutOf.Games

Not sure how long that site has existed, but it’s been a while.

  • Sorry that this is happening to you, but the fact of the matter is that your opponent is not required to sit there until you pull off this or any combo.  Same applies to if they know they are dead and can't win.  That is why there is a Concede button.  Stuff like this happens, like when I drop a charging 10/10 Death Beetle about to destroy my opponent with it for the achievement and then they leave before it connects.  So what do I do when that stuff happens?  I go to the next game.

Take this for next time you get frustrated by opponents.

  • I think if Classic performed better they might.  I’m not positive, but I think the initial engagement was high, then took a very sharp drop very quickly.  They likely won’t invest much time in Classic just to see it have players abandon it after a month or so again.

Last time I tried playing Classic it took me over 2 min to find a match.

Your two cents suck, no one enjoys Wild.

Many people, myself included, really enjoy Wild.  But it is reaching a state where there are so many really powerful, synergistic cards that only a few decks are dominating the scene.  And the options for climbing are either hyper aggro or busted mana cheating combos.  The idea of a third format being “like Wild but with bans” or a rotating format that includes old sets is not a new concept either.  I think a lot of Wild players have been asking for it over the years, and as Wild has evolved to its current state that sentiment has gained steam

  • Exactly the same thoughts!  Obviously there might be a few things in Wild/Legacy that need to be kept in check, but I say only in extreme circumstances.  Everything else, let it run wild!

Then in a Limited style format, rotate things in and out, ban problematic/polarizing cards if needed, etc.  Bans would be only for if a single card pushes a class/archetype to a far higher power level than everyone else.

Hell, I’d even go so far as to say remove a lot of the gross mana cheating stuff so players in the mode have to think, make good trades, and play a more “old school” style of the game!

  • That’s basically an idea I’ve had before for the third format.  Use the same card pool as Arena!  But honestly, would be better if they went and had a different card pool for a new constructed set.  Take like 9 sets, and Adventure or two, maybe Core, and filter out things that are too strong in the format with the available card pool. Even better if by rule they commonly ban cost reduction and ways to cheat out big things!  Imagine a format that requires thinking and good trades to win!  They should honestly just replace Classic with something like this

  • Personally, I’ve wanted a “Limited” format for a while!  Whether it’s Wild but with some bans, or more preferably a format with rotating sets from Wild and Standard sets (that could also have a few bans), a Wild-like format with a more limited card pool would be much easier for the team to balance down the line without having to disrupt what Wild is supposed to be.  That way the players who like crazy busted decks can play Wild, and players who like playing with old cards, but want a more varied meta can find it in the limited format.

  • How does this not have the Mech tag?

Especially since the flavor text explains that this is basically The Curator infused with the Light.  Seems like a mistake by the HS team to not be a mech.

  • They said before they’d use it again if appropriate.  But it’ll likely be very very rare.

  • I think it’s Lord J’s favorite, too!  “MISTAKE!!!”

  • Along with the legendary quests that I immediately got rid of, I conveniently got the “Play 2 Tavern Brawls” daily yesterday.  I don’t think so, Blizzard!
