  • Not sure if this is interesting gameplay wise, but I find it funny at least.

The 3 Mana version is more nuanced (as the 4 Mana version is a fancier "Your Hero Power silences and destroys minions"), but I'm not sure people will like its randomness.

I might go with something else entirely, dunno.

  • Very cool expansion :)

  • @Cursed the new requirement is much better I think, as it's something that ties into the reward and both classes like to do. For the reward, though, I'd go with the previous one, but removing the Stealth and Lifesteal.

@Demon the DH/Warrior Quest is my fav of all you posted so far.

  • I ended submitting Keep the Balance, but I changed the reward to Yu'lon (I forgot to put a watermark on her pls don't be too harsh). I think all four Celestials would fit very well for dual Quest rewards in a Pandaria themed expansion. Chi-Ji would be Mage/Paladin, Niuzao Warrior/Hunter and Xuen Shaman/Rogue.

    Anyway, some late feedback:

My main criticism is the double requirement, since both classes would try to complete the Quest in their own way. I know it's intentional, but it kinda defeats the point of dual Quests.

Besides that, I like the reward, but I'd probably drop Stealth and Lifesteal and just give Saria more stats, in order to reduce the card complexity.

I think you made a good call to go back to a Hero Power. I cannot give much feedback without knowing what it would do exactly (I still suggest you to implement a Hero Power version of Goblin Prank, though.

Both cards are good improvements over the original ones. I think I prefer Control the Skies, but both are very strong contenders.

  • I hadn't seen this until now. Very cool expansions, one of my favorites of recent times.

  • New lore-based idea:

It's basically a Hero Power Quest, like those from Saviors of Uldum, but it also changes the look of your hero for extra flavor. I had another version which gives you The Lich King as a hero card that equips Frostmourne as a Battlecry, but I decided to go with this simpler version.

I also wanted to know if the wording I chose for the requirement is right. I was going to go with "Destroy 6 minions summoned by your Hero Power", but I'm not sure if that implies you have to destroy them, which is not what I want.

  • I like this set so far, the flavor and mechanics mesh very well and are quite interesting overall.

As a piece of feedback, I think the names you pick could be a bit less simple. For instance, the card Shadowy Heal, which got you a very well deserved first place, is super interesting mechanically, but the name doesn't sound very good. Something like Shadow Word: Heal or Void Mend.

This is probably very minor, but I think it could help to make your cards more believable.

I like Looking for Group, but I agree with Basil that the Teamfight Tactics looks very OP. Given you're already running a swarm deck to complete the Quest, I think you could drop the refresh effect and it'd still be strong. This would ruin the flavor, though, so I'd probably make it 1 Mana "Give a minion +1/+1" and keep the refresh.

About Control the Skies, it feels too much like a pure Warrior card: the flavor isn't Druid-like at all and the reward seems way more exploitable by Warrior.

    Demonxz95
Funny how both Druid/Paladin quests have this guild flavor xD

About your card, I like the card fits both classes identities, but Basil is probably right about the burst potential of it. I'd probably try to think a completely different effect that is still related to buff spells, because this one is very difficult to balance.

My favorite is definetly Scoundrel's Craftiness. Secret Rogue is always cool and the reward is a very interesting rule bend.

Feed the Void isn't bad, either. The reward is, again, the best part of the card. The reason I don't like it as much is that focusing on spell schools or minion types both classes have in common seems like a very obvious route to go, but it's still a very solid card.

Finally, the only of your cards I don't like is Free Me. The effect is flavorful and all, but I feel it should simply be a weapon with this Deathrattle instead of a Quest.

    MrRhapsody
Very flavorful card, but I agree with Basil about both things: the requirement should be harder to complete and the reward should probably drop the random Demon. How about making the Hero Power the Goblin Prank effect? This way you'd have Rush to represent Warrior and a harsh drawback to represent Warlock.

All in all, if you polish this card, I could see it winning (again, you're having a very good strike this season). I almost won once with a Mannoroth Hero Card which had very similar flavor. Snif.

  • Miracle of Shadows explores two themes Rogue and Priest have in common: the Miracle archetype and the 1/1 copy thing, which mesh together very well. Maybe too well, I'm afraid it might be OP lol It also has some thieving action sprinkled in, which is also something both classes tend to focus on.

The flavor is a bit boring and very leaning towards Priest, so I might change it later.

Regarding Keep the Balance, it makes you play three Shadow and three Holy spells; or three Arcane and three Nature spells. The reward grants some passive recovery, which isn't present in the game I believe, and fits both Priest and Druid very well.

Overall, I think the flavor of Keep is better, but I prefer the gameplay of Miracle (if it's not OP, that is)

  • Congrats! Very well deserved win :)

  • Very cool rework! I loved the original expansion just like everyone else, and it's nice to see it more polished and with its own mini set. Also kudos to both sets graphic design, especially the mini set with the chat and all 😂

Just one question... Have you published all changes made to the original set? I'm very curious to see what got reworked and what got scrapped entirely (RIP Final Boss Ragnaros u.u)

Can I get some feedback. Really new at this. Not sure quite how to balance it. I personally think it's overcosted and maybe should be 6 mana, possibly 5. At healing 1 damage its slightly better than flamestrike, but your not really benefiting from a heal then. In the middle, you can heal a minion for 3 and get an old flamestrike. I don't know.

    Holy Radiance

    Welcome to fan creations!

I like this card a lot, but I agree with other people that it doesn't fit the Paladin class. Instead of reworking the card, I'd simply move it to Priest, as it's a class with very strong AoE like this.

About the Mana cost, I think you could reduce it to 6 like you proposed, but make sure to include the Holy school tag.

Sorry for not giving feedback to the rest of you, it's been a busy couple of days.

Thanks for your kind words, Demon. You actually made me think of something, but I could use some help with the wording since there's no precedence. How would you phrase a buff per excess damage effect? Like if you deal 3 excess damage, you buff by +3/+3. Something like this?

I like the new direction of this card. It's a very interesting effect, and makes a lot of sense given the name of the card.

However, being able to give your minions +5/+5 across the board makes it way too strong. I'd probably nerf it to 4/3; or even 3/3 or 4/2 while also giving up the "Can't attack heroes" part.

Also, the proper plural of hero is heroes (not heros), and it shouldn't be formatted in italics, if you decide to keep that part.

Finally, about the wording, I'd use "After you attack and kill a minion, give your Silver Hand Recruits stats equal to the excess damage.", but the wording you used also works I think.

All in all, good job with the card! Sorry if I sounded too harsh in my previous comment. I really didn't mean to sound overly negative, I just tried to focus in the parts that could be improved.

  • How would extending the Finalist Phase work? I don't think comps should last more than a week, as that neat duration makes them easier to follow. So, we would need to cut out the Submission Phase or remove the Voting Phase altogether, but I don't know if either of those options are a good idea.

Regarding the participation issue, maybe we should put more announcements in the main page. Right now we only have the Design Conversations once a week, which sure, mention WCDC, but aren't focused on them. I think having a reminder one day before the submission phase ends and maybe on the finalist phase would help. Not sure if this would end up being too annoying for people not interested in comps, though.

  • Allari was generally perceived as boring, and I understand why. She's basically a minion with a basic keyword whose effect just gains stats, so I converted her into the rare Souldrinking Felbat.

To compensate being able to run two, its stats are now 5/2 (and it's also a Demon). As a point of reference, overkilling a 1/1 would result in a 6/6 with the old statline, while the new one is limited to 5/5. Maybe a 6/1 statline, which would become a 6/5, would be a nice middle ground, but I don't like Rager-like statlines lol

Finally, Deranged Shot gives Hunter a C'Thun card, which I believe the class was lacking. I had a hard time balancing the card, as the power level was much lower back then, especially for removal.

I like the effect, it's pretty original and goes around a pretty frustrating mechanic. People are probably right about it being too expensive, though.

Besides this, I have some questions regarding to how this card interacts with other draw effects (and just with drawing at the beginning of the turn. Imagine you have 5 cards in your hand and use this. This would draw 5 cards and "remember" you still need to draw 3 more cards.

    • Now, at the beginning of your next turn, you draw one card. What would happen? Would the card draw simply not occur or would it be added to the remembered pending draws (adding to a total of 4).
    • Finally, when you draw all the "remembered" cards… Does the "cannot overdraw" effect still apply?

    linkblade91
I wonder if this would work better as an Un'goro card, as the effect is pretty much Adapt (although the options are slightly different and the effects gained are completely random). Druid already has Living Mana in that expansion, so I don't know.

Besides that, would the Coral Treants also be Beasts? It's a bit lame, but corals are technically animals so 🤷🏼‍♂️

Hands down the best idea so far, could easily win the comp. It has some things to polish, though.
    • The white background is quite ugly, and the creature depicted, while cool, looks like a Totem more than like an Elemental. So, I suggest finding a regular fire elemental.
    • The wording should say "stores" instead of "store".
    • Maybe it has too much face potential with Fire AoE, especially with stuff that also hits the Guzzler itself (not sure if it exists right now). I don't know, I'd probably change it to target enemy minions only, but that might be too weak.

    anchorm4n
The stats are definitely very strong for a 4 mana weapon, so I'd make the change AeroJulwin proposed.

Besides this, I'm not sure if the effect is a bit too simple for a legendary weapon, given it's basically a weaker version of Lifesteal. Maybe the fat stats make it such a strong control tool that the legendary status is warranted, I don't know.

  • I'm satisfied with Allari's effect, but i struggle to find good cost and stats for it. Also, the art doesn't depict the actual character nor her signature scythe. I wonder if I should change the name, although the "Souleater" part of it fits her effect like a tea.

About Spectacular Explosion, I'm not sure if the wording is the best.

  • Happy birthday 🥳

  • That's the flavor, though. You hit it with a hammer and it bounces back, but if you poke it, it pops.

  • Because, despite the name, they're Naga pets, basically. I think Sunken Saber is the same creature.
