  • that explains it. Thanks for the update

  • same here. I don't know what the issue is but I guess I'll just keep it around until it's fixed.

  • how is that possible? your deck is always in the same order. You genuinely just have to play on curve and use the cards you have until you get it.

Is it different for every player? Because that'd make no sense.

  • I am saving the pack as well, mainly because the game won't let me actually open it.

  • I needed like 4 attempts, and I would still argue it's well designed on a conceptual level, but the fact that it's just so poorly communicated what stats the shadows have makes it really frustrating going in.

But on paper it feels very rogue-like. You have limited ressources and you are on a timer and you have to carefully gain intel about what your opponent plays and how to best move around it. It actually proves that this scripted draw concept can work well for PvE.

  • yeah that happened to me to, but that's the attempt I actually beat her.

It's key to buff the lifesteal weapon with DP first, hit her face, and then hope she plays wriggling horror so you can hit that after buffing your weapon with Oil while she cloaks.

It's really stupid and a lot of it comes down to hero power RNG, but it's doable once you realize she has no burn outside of evis.

  • you shouldn't sabotage early, that'S the bait. HIs weapon is irrelevant, and the early two shadows can be killed through blade flurrys + hero power (the item that doubles your weapon damage isn't even needed.

What I did was mulligan the first sabotage and the weapon buff and only keep the poison. You'll get SS Sword which you can get up to 4 quickly then use with Scoundrel for 6 to deal with the shadow and the Ravenholdt Assassin (you Cloak of Shadows the turn you activate Assassin by playing Spymistres + the draw 2 elemental. With nothing to attack the Shadow will hit the elemental and take more damage in the process which then allows you to killl off two of them with the flurry).

It's really convoluted but it's actually quite interesting from the perspective of having to figure out how much health each shadow has and when you draw which card. It's just frustrating when Juggler hits face for no reason.

  • how does that happen? For me she always prep Eviscerates on turn 1

  • you're lucky, I can't even open my pack for some reason

  • if you still have problems, tell me I think I figured out a guaranteed (semi guaranteed, juggle rng still fucks you over) win strategy and I can break it down.

  • actually I find that one very interesting. It always plays out the same and you have to figure out the best way to use your ressources (saving  2x Sabotage for the last two asssassins is key).

It's all about card management and knowing what you need when (playing the Wyrm on turn 1 is a mistake for instance).

The only thing that doesn't work is the KNife Juggler BS because you can't guarantee he'll hit the shadow annd not the hero, which is BS. Other than that it's just trial and error until you figured out the winnning strategy. Probably the only competently designed fight in this entire chapter.

  • yes I finally did it, but what I had to go through is pretty much unacceptable.

NOt even the Amazing Reno fight from Galakrond'S Awakening had this much uncontrollable variables. I genuinely don't understand how anyone could design that fight and think "yeah, this is fine". The only explanation I have is that they got so lucky on their first try they just assumed this would be the average.

  • actual answer: get really lucky with draws after demon transformation. If you don't get both of the Discard returners at some point you lose and can't do anything about it.

    I wish I was kidding

  • yeah fuck this entirely, Cho'gall is unbeatable, I'Ve tried eveery single combination of cards and he always just removes everything and whittles you down.

They can shove that Rogue pack up their incompetent asses, I#m not playing this lazy excuse for a PvE adventure anymore

  • Do they even playtest this shit?

You literally draw the same cards in the same order while your opponent doesn't have to follow any specific orders and the bosses are so absurdly resilient that it actually just comes down to card generation RNG

Cho'gall literally puts you on a timer and then after some time your entire deck gets replaced by useless demons and you hope that your hero power pulls a Voidlord and not Flame Imp.

This is literally just trial and error until the AI messes up. If you're gonna go for a challenge at least let me build a deck and don't force me to play a half baked Arena draft that forces me to fight the same boss over and over until I eventually get to win.

  • I really hope this isn't the new Rogue skin they teased...

  • So what you're saying is...only shooting stars break the mold?

  • and you have to go to the actual card pages not the discussion threads (aka click on the card itself)
