good point, I didn't think of Rally, but that could potentially work if there's more stuff to support it.

C'Thun's battlecry deals 1 dmg many times, but never 3 damage.

and even if it did the battlecry would still go off anyways

but will there be resurrection shenanigans? most of those are rotating, and since there's no Rez support in the core set they might not even further support that archetype

And Brawl continues to torment me for another year.

 

How come they buff Lightning Storm and remove Spell damage totem because "highrolling bad" but then they leave the most highrolly "if this goes my way I win and there's nothing you can do" spell in the game untouched?

I'm glad we're finally back to traditional Midrange Beast Hunter that actually builds on synergy instead of just jamming the best curve cards available into a deck and letting Kill Command do all the work.

Maybe now that all the best 3--drops are finally gone there might be some actual design space for more interesting stuff.

fair enough, although I would assume Warrior will get some new way to draw (as will every class, but it's not gonna be part of the core set to actually diversify draw options instead of relying on the same 3 cards all the time)

Pretty sure Control Warrior still beats Warlock on account of Rattlegore and Silas OTK

I don't think a card that at best gives you King Krush and at worst gives you a 2/1 with rush is going to be played unironically.

So it's finally a thing. After years of seeing the same basic and classic cards over and over we finally have the reveal of our new core set that may or may not make us clinically depressed for the next year and because I am incredibly bored and need attention you will now be subjected to my half baked takes …

So just a straight upgrade? Smol Kel'thuzad?

 

I actually really like this. Onyxia becomes a mustkill and can technically serve as a lategame threat in a slower token deck (even if the lack of Bloodlust and Savage Roar makes the existence of those dependant on new cards)

It's basically [card]Shu'ma[/card] except it doesn't suck complete dick

I really like this new take on Alex. I suppose she's intended to be the modernized version of the old Alex into combo finisher for control decks...except now she's just the finisher..and sometimes she saves your life.

Probably not gonna be in a lot of decks, but maybe something like Warrior or Warlock like it for the flexibility.

I think it's their attempt to bring back clarity by differentiating from choose one effects and just being unambiguuous in general (your way could also imply a random effect).

10/10, best card ever made, meta-defining and part of every deck from now until the game shuts down. Will craft in golden out of principle and name my firstborn after it.
