honestly i dont get why they didnt just change the interaction between jrax and sacpact
That's fair - what they probably should have done was just rework Jaraxxus to be a hero card and thus it would lose the "demon minion" tags and not be targetable by SacPact. I get that hero cards didn't exist when it Jaraxxus was printed, but they do now so who knows why they chose to to it this way...
Soo.... nobody is talking about Blizzard not giving dust refund for all of the cards, only wild ones? Greedy Activision is attacking again and everyone is ok with it, that's a bad sign.
outside of Frenzied Felwing (which I assume they'll probably walk back on after some backlash) all the cards mentioned were free, meaning that there's no reaosn to get a refund.
Hmmm, I wonder why...
Frenzied Felwing is from an adventure but it is disenchantable, so I don't really agree with that not being given a full refund. However, the majority of the cards are FREE and you can't dust them. Plus you said only wild ones are given refunds, but Bad Luck Albatross is in fact refundable too. Also, I don't think Activision is involved in deciding how to nerf/refund in Hearthstone, and they probably wouldn't give a crap if the HS team decided to give us the free dust from basic cards. Hearthstone already provides a lot of free and realistically achievable rewards. I know you want more dust, I do too, but they're not going to pay us for them changing free cards they gave us. Please make sure you're informed before commenting.
To add on to this, Golden Kael'Thas still isn't craftable. I thought it was gonna be available for golden crafting once the expac hit but it looks like its still locked which is why Kael can't be disenchanted.
It is good they updated to mention the two goldens that are nerfed and craftable are being allowed full refunds. I guess they forgot
The ones that were collectable from packs are being given a full dust refund. Most of the cards are either basic cards, from an expansion, or were just given to us for free in the first place
Why dont we get refund for the felwing? Are not the adventure cards disenchantable?
They are neither Dustable or craftable, if recall correctly.
We get refund for Albatros... but the rest of the cards are free cards they are not craftable so you cannot disenchant them anyway... The Demon Hunter Initiate cards are not disenchantable, because it is not "adventure" but rather a "free adventure"
I get it, but frenzied felwing is from the galakronds awaken "adventure", not from the DH initiate set. Thats why i asked it.
The corrected it in offical post:
*The following cards will be eligible for a full dust refund for two weeks after the 17.0.2 patch has been released:
Golden Altruis the Outcast
Golden Battlefiend
Golden/Normal Bad Luck Albatross
Golden/Normal Frenzied Felwing
Golden/Normal Open the Waygate
Golden/Normal Bloodbloom
altruis the outcast got a serious nerf. playing that card in tandem with skull of guldan generated some serious board clear with face dmg. now you have to wait to turn 10 and every card discounted needs to cost 0. the other nerfs to DH dont hit it that strongly. battlefiend is more balanced now, but still a powerfull and auto include cause the opponent will still want to clear it. adept nerf is literally zero nerf same for the mage quest
Em, so bad nerfs for DH. Almost all of these nerfs are nothing, i think, only Battlefiend has a good nerf. Other nerfs are just, meh, or doesn t care.
Kael'Thas nerf too is bad, only 1 turn later is nothing for classes like Druid or DH with their survive ability and draw and ramp for druid. Yes, you have less free mana, but card still broke this game.
Mecha'thun is dead coz of cancer demons, thank you very much.
Even 10 spells would be nothing for quest mage 8 is so underwhelming.
I think, need to wait another week for another DHs nerfs. Coz of Sacrificial Pact nerf is really strong and it's fair, but now DH has all his demons open and his tempo kit weaken too low.
The goal of nerfs is to make the class playable without being oppressive. Nerfs are not supposed to take a class or card and make it "dumpster tier" to the point that you never see them again, just managable.
Increasing mana costs for a lot of the cards DOES inhibit the ability to combo with them. Altrius and Kael are going to be heavily impacted by having mana costs increased by 1. It means it's less likely to be able to be combod. It also means that Kael can no longer be combod with 2 cost spells (6+2+2) and will now need discounts or 1 cost spells to combo. In short Kael moving from 6->7 mana is HUGE as it limits what spells can be combod with him naturally. Same thing goes for Altrius, to a lesser extent. Moving cost from 3->4 means that it has less combo potential on the same turn.
But most of the time they combo him with 0 mana spells and in rare cases with 1 mana spells. It's rare scenario when Kael goes with 2 mana draw 2 and only when dh is desperate. I understand it's a nerf, but I don't like OTK Kael at all, even, i think, it's another plague for this game, i like him, if he used like huge value card with cheap spell cheap spell 1 huge spell and thats it. But he found abuse with broken OTK s*it. Like Aviana Kun were cancer, he is too.
About Altrius - odd dh got nerf, it's good, but other - it's just idk, i understand, now it's hard combo him so early and deal massive board and face damage for nothing. But still, class who has so many broken cards gets so weak nerfs is pathetic. Yes, they must be reasonble, but that s mean they must nerf other cards too. Coz it's not enough especially if you nerfing sac pact that hard. As i said - waitng 3d DH nerfs.
Oh, also, these nerfs looks like nerfing absolutly broken quest mage in wild with just +2 spells...
It could be just me but the Open the Waygate nerf changes almost nothing about how broken the deck is. If anything it only screws over slow Reno builds, since they don't generate that many spells.
I agree. That nerf does little to weaken the broken Wild deck that is very unpleasant to play against.
I think Warsong Commander finally found her match.
I think Sacrificial Pact is still playable. You can use it on a 1/1 imp or on a Voidcaller in wild. Even if it isn't quite as useful now as it was before the nerf, it is still a million times better than Warsong Commander
