In a ninja announcement this afternoon, Blizzard has announced a large change to Twin Slice, the Demon Hunter card everyone loves.
- The mana cost of Twin Slice and Second slice is being increased to 1, from 0.
- The attack that is added to your hero is being been increased to 2, from 1.
- These changes arrive in a patch on June 18, 2020.
A full dust refund is available if you've crafted Golden Twin Slice for 2 weeks from the patch date. Since the card is in the Demon Hunter Initiate Set, the normal version cannot be disenchanted.
Blizzard hasn't stated reasoning behind the changes, but we're sure people are happy Demon Hunters can't get away with free casts anymore. How do you feel about the change?

Total bs!
Exactly the same stupid stuff they did with rogue, yet a mana ramping class like druid keeps zero cost cards, and in wild, priests keep getting more and more resurrect tools each expansion and zero mana hp repeatable....
STUPID BLIZZ!
I see it as neither a buff nor a nerf for the card itself, it's just a change to make the card a bit more interesting while also reducing the combo potential.
It's a significant buff for Odd DH players
A huge nerf to tempo demo hunter!
Long gone are the turn three 6/4s or a turn five Glaivebound without a weapon previously equipped or use of the coin.
Yes the extra damage is a little scary, but the cost shuts down so much tempo, especially twin slice into skull.
Still way too good. Should have been 1 mana for 1 atk, and the second 0 and +1 atk. You might even argue that this is a buff
This card should have been nerfed in the first round of nerfs. Can't believe it took them 4 nerfs to finally get this one.
A buff to DH in Wild... ok... I don`t understand why... but ok ^^...
So its basically a more efficient Eviscerate now.
Honestly, all they needed to do was to make it so second slice goes back to hand at the end of the turn. This merely solidifies dhunter's aggro potential even further, not even mentioning the damage potential this thing can actually get. One good skull turn with altruis and this thing might as well just win the game outright from there.
On the other hand this basically means their early game tempo is nerfed somewhat so dhunters don't just dominate early turns immediately. So hey, there's an actual chance for totem shaman and murloc paladin to win this matchup now.
2 steps forward, 30 steps back
I always argued that because it wasn't a Twinspell keyword that Twin Slice should cost 1 and Second Slice could/should cost 0. Ultimately this is a back-end nerf to Altruis the Outcast.
It's not Twinspell for the same reason Y'Shaarj isn't recruit - it's not in the proper set(s) to have that keyword.
I might be biased from facing face dh over and over but the +2 attack really scares me
Yes it is more burst but it comes way later now... so you will have an extra turn or two to heal... but mainly it cannot activate Satyr Overseer and Glaivebound Adept and Altruis the Outcast as easily anymore which will slow down DH a notch or two...
it was time !
Odd Demon Hunter in Wild is licking its lips right now...
Odd DH player here: you're dang right I am! Muahahaha!
Anything that costs 0 mana is risky. I am glad they changed this. However, as some people have mentioned, Odd Demon Hunter will now be able to use this, and I am not looking forward to that.
So, 3rd time is the charm?
I like the change nontheless
A welcome change since aggro demon hunter is still one of the strongest and most played decks, even after two(!) rounds of nerfs.
This might be a buff to odd demon hunter in wild though.
much needed change, being a 0 mana twinspell was too much..
