This is pretty good. Overall, it seems like Paladin got the best cards this set.
Dean Ayala’s favorite Wild deck is Odd Paladin! I have no proof of this claim, but... c’mon!
I...why? Why are we supercharging Secret Mage and Odd Paladin? Do those decks need more of a presence in the meta? I mean yeah, sure, anything to challenge Quest Mage and Raza Priest, decks that the devs have themselves intentionally supercharged/unnerfed in the past, but does it have to be just spammy aggro?
I only play standard (:
I have just one word:
Ragers. (Except that reversed one. Amgam? And the cold one)
NOOO why is this odd too???
It synergys well with the Noble Sacrifice too, punishing a smaller minion trade into a 3/3 body instead
Buff to penflinger. Not sure what they were thinking here. Isnt penflinger good enough already... Nerf penflinger to 2 health.
!? Penflinger isn't supposed to stay on board or did u just whoosh me?
It was a joke... Bc paladin is right now using penflinger a lot. But maybe other classes are too.
But isn't it actually a nerf of Penflinger? Because the animation of the stat buff after every Penflinger play will make your turn shorter.
Is it a joke? Odd pala will be unstoppable in Wild now.
This one is just another reason to start building up that aggro paladin deck. It may actually be enough to break through those unfavorable priest battles now, and this card will be core to that.
Just a very solidly strong card that will almost certainly be a build-around.
A slightly worst Hobgoblin (+1/+2 instead of +2/+2) that works with health instead of attsck for standard? Yes please!
it's much better because it works with summoned minions and not only played ones.
Good catch!
Hey, finally we're getting the 1-Health support card for which we are waiting since Saviors of Uldum. Do you remember, when Salhet's Pride, Brazen Zealot and Sandwasp Queen where released? Everyone thought there will be a card in the set that supports this. There has never been any - until now.
By the Holy Light!
Even with Hero Power, the worst of all combos, this is a 5 mana 5/5. With 1x Air Raid (or Odd Hero Power!), this is 5 mana 7/8. With Day at the Faire, it's 6 mana 9/11, if upgraded, 13/17.
Broken, IMO, for 2 cards.
Did anyone genuinely enjoy playing against this toxic type of paladin which plays a lot of small guys that most classes have no answers to? How are decks going to clear a constant influx of divine shield dudes, or dudes with 2/3 stats? As if paladin was not busted enough already, now we have this...
Toxic or not, when you combine all synergies, probably toxic, yes, but...
I just find it boring to play with and against, playing with constant waves of 1/1 dudes (or slightly buffed). It gets old very quickly, at least for me.
So if it takes over the meta, I will not care that much about it being toxic, but boring as I feel about it, just makes me not want to play at all, at least in Standard. Luckily there's Duels, and other modes to play in.
